  1. I'm really impressed that they're going for it and don't see it as less safe than the mall opening indoors in the middle of winter! At least people will be outdoors and happily wearing a face covering!
  2. If it takes a Pandemic for this ride to finally open...well, I'm almost okay with that!
  3. Sounds like a great addition for them! We really liked Inferno a lot. Th13teen, well, it was a tad overhyped but is fine too.
  4. ^I liked the drag race attraction, there were some decent G-Forces and really good acceleration.
  5. Initial forecasts from ten days ago said this would be a major hurricane right off the Florida coast. They got one part of that right, and I'm very happy about the part they got wrong!
  6. SeaWorld San Diego figured out a way to open! Good for them! No coasters (for now), similar to the Knott's event. https://seaworld.com/san-diego/zoo-days-bayside-bbq-and-brews
  7. Good for Knott's for figuring out how to open up and almost using this as a demo for opening the rest of the park up. Thanks for sharing!
  8. So with parks around the country and in Central Florida cutting back hours (Disney/Universal) and days (Volcano Bay), somehow Sea World is doubling down and increasing their days open EVERY DAY in September!
  9. ^Glad it worked out for you. Knoebels will always have better operations than Six Flags even under these conditions!
  10. Went on a quick Universal lap today. Park was busier than expected but nothing like the reports from the weekend. 20-45min waits for most rides. Biggest I saw was 60min for the Potter Train.
  11. Also got the email, don't know how that works with our Platinum Pass that we pay monthly for? I'm guessing it was some sort of email mistake.
  12. ^Not that there's anything wrong with naked mole rats!
  13. ^Ugh, sorry to hear that, it's depressing but welcome to our world! In a horrible way, it actually makes me feel better to hear these stories in other countries and realize that terrible people are everywhere.
  14. ^As I've told everyone going to 'new to them' parks this season, you just have to realize that you're not getting the real park experience and don't hold anything dumb against them. It's still possible to have a great day, might just be a little trickier.
  15. Wow! I had a friend texting me some wait times from today and I was wondering what was going on or if they were over posting or what. That's kind of crazy. I saw Hulk at 110 min!
  16. ^^Isn't that most of 2020? "The Least Bad Option"
  17. ^Yeah, Robb has parking on his pass so I didn't need that. Again, it's fine, I realize I'm in the minority but with them reaching out to some pass holders I was hoping maybe they'd reach out to more who just purchased.
  18. ^That's good of them to offer that. I kind of also feel like even the normal pass holders should get something though. Especially since I bought a pass about four weeks before they offered the 'buy a day get the year free and add on Volcano bay for $30' pass!!!! Still kind of bitter about that.
  19. ^&^^ Correct! Robb and I even make it into a contest and see which one of us ends up faster to grab the passes!
  20. Are you doing just parks? Nature? Tourist stuff? Two months is a long time. I would maybe base in different areas and fly between them. A northeast run including Six Flags Great Adventure, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kings Dominion, Hershey Park, Dorney, New York City. A midwest run including Cedar Point, Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World, Six Flags St. Louis, Silver Dollar City, Worlds of Fun, City Museum and St. Louis Gateway Arch. Texas run including Six Flags over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Sea World, San Antonio sightseeing. California run including Sea World, Legoland, Universal, Knott's, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Discovery Kingdom, Great America, sightseeing all over the place. If you're into nature I suggest a Vegas/Utah run including Grand Canyon (yes I know it's in arizona but damn close), Zion, and Arches. Then you can also do Vegas stuff and Lagoon in Salt Lake City.
