And I completely agree! I just wish there had been some sort of science based standard that went out to all parks to find a good compromise between safety and efficiency. I'm just such an operations person, and also a science realist, and I want to see the parks be smart and do things right that make them money and keep the guests happy. -

Ok super dorky showing my age coaster enthusiast thing here but talking about retracking reminded me... Did anyone ever ride Raging Wolf Bobs at whatever the hell Geauga Lake was called the one year where they retracked half of it!? It was hilarious. You were bouncing around, getting thrown from side to side, and then all of a sudden it was glass smooth for the second half! -
FYI - It appears Busch Gardens has changed their schedule to now be closed Mondays and Wednesdays starting next week. Also just throwing it out there that I said this made more sense WEEKS ago when they first announced their schedule. With this new schedule you can now visit BGT or SWO every day of the week, they no longer will share a closed day.

Weight Management Support/Enouragement thread
SharkTums replied to bert425's topic in Random, Random, Random
Nice job to all of you! The weight thing really is a lifestyle change and not just a temporary fix. As I was getting older I noticed I could no longer eat like I used to. I started the Intermittent Fasting 'lifestyle diet' back in November and I've been REALLY happy with it. I know a bunch more people that are doing that now as well. I think it's a diet that works for a lot of people cause it doesn't restrict what or how much you eat but just when you eat it. It's very mental as you have to have the willpower to sometimes go to bed hungry but you don't wake up hungry so it really is a mind over matter type thing. Are any of you doing the fasting thing? -

Yay for Tokyo Disney Reopening! And all of our pass holders in this country should consider themselves very lucky! No pass holders at all at Tokyo for the initial reopening period! -

I have a question about these ride procedures...I don’t think the other six flags parks are doing this right? This seems like super overkill that will make capacity a joke?!? Just to confirm I have it right, they’re loading half the train, then cleaning it, then running it empty, every cycle?!? Pretty sure that’s the only park in the country doing that. -

I agree 10,500 seems like a pretty high number to start with. -

^Really? Cause I see the J-1 and H2-B's were all stopped and I know that's what some of the internationals had. -

Looks like Trump just extended the ban on many visa's into the country including the two most commonly used ones for Epcot international Program. I assume that means unless Disney makes some sort of deal or gets a variance we won't see many international workers in World Showcase this year. -

^Interesting about Lightning Rod...I thought they had gotten past all of the problems? We were actually thinking about heading up to the park but if LR is having issues we may postpone. -
We have pryzloty'd indeed! I know everyone hated Duinrell, but I really think we are all just spoiled. We're not used to going to crowded parks with no skip the line programs or special filming. The choice was to go here for a bit, or spend some more time at the horrid Schipol airport! The park does have a lot of potential and had great poffertjes!

That's a real bummer about not being able to reserve a later time. I don't like that at all.
