  1. Florida thanks you for giving us your sweet, sweet tourist tax money!
  2. Robb and I were sitting at lunch yesterday (Meat Monday! Look it up on our TPR Instagram!) and talking about what we thought we could ideally do versus what we think we'll actually end up doing park wise next year due to the Covid Apocalypse. Here's our list! IDEAL: Spring Break Texas Summer US Road Trip Late Summer England Asia Disney Christmas/New Years Trip REALISTIC: Summer US Road Trip Something in Asia next winter *Note - these are personal trips, hoping for a return to group trips in 2022! (Well, maybe we'll open up Asia if it happens!) So what are your plans?!!?
  3. I miss the Intamin reversing log flume. Better use of the space for sure!
  4. Christmas break so it's going to be packed. Your one hope (other than getting Express pass, good call!) is that most of the passes are blocked out. Get there early!
  5. At least there's no food or shopping to worry about once you've paid your $90!
  6. I think the name is a little weird but it's a good idea and I wish them success with it!
  7. Such a great report!!! I really loved this park and can't wait to see how it evolves the next 10 years. Lech Coaster is amazing and we need Vekoma to get back out there and sell as many of those as they did SLC's and Boomerangs!!!
  8. ^So I was talking to someone about this, and really a good chunk of the land is getting this new 'aesthetic' so it won't seem quite so out of place from the rest of the old school jungle themed Jurassic Park. The Raptor Encounter already has this look and right across from that is the new ride so it will at least somewhat fit in. I don't know if Universal is planning on redoing the rest of the island in this motif or just these two attractions.
  9. It looks like a blue Intamin version of Helix at Liseberg.
  10. I also remember seeing Dodonpa's airtime hill (before it was replaced with a loop) on the top of some negative G lists.
  11. ^Give this new park time and if they see 10 years down the road that they're doing well maybe we'll see a family woodie or something go in! Also, Soarin over Mexico will never beat the Jules Verne ride with the DVD logo burned into the screen!
  12. Not really surprised. And this probably helps out Six Flags in the process by now being the only park in the city with big rides.
  13. Oh, I know about this, I just think it's crap so I didn't feel the need to post! I am seriously taking a stand against those stupid Comfort Collars!!!!! They are not a safety device. They are uncomfortable, and further peoples own stupidity instead of educating the consumer/insurance/media whatever! A company that was once at the forefront of REMOVING OTSR's is now proudly putting unnecessary ones back on. Also completely appropriate for a terrible coaster!
  14. ^And some would argue that that's exactly why they're doing so well. Not saying I agree or disagree, they're just clearly really being strict there. It's working for their numbers but I do feel for the parks.
  15. ^April - June in the past. But again, this year has been a bit, well, different so all bets are off!
  16. Yeah I have that game and the tech does not work as well as we’d hoped so I’m hoping the ride is better!
  17. I am the biggest AR/VR hater out there, and all of the crap that they've done to roller coasters the last five years is INCREDIBLY dumb...but...I'm going to trust them on this and I do believe AR has made some big strides lately so I will reserve judgement.
  18. I feel like it looks very 'Men in Black' ish.
  19. ^I feel like I remember the other Legoland parks also offering this. I wonder how many people bought them.
  20. In the past this is a VERY good week to visit Orlando parks, but in case you didn't notice this year is completely batshit insane so... I wouldn't buy it ahead of time, but be prepared to if the crowds are above the level you want to deal with. If you're just doing Universal I can't imagine you won't be able to do everything with minimal lines. Just make sure to get there early!
  21. ^There is no FastPass right now so it's pretty easy. Just make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time and make a reservation (reservations are required for all of the Disney parks right now).
  22. Funny story. I once bought a book called "Just enough Scandinavian" which was basically a travel language book for Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. The intro to the book stated "Most people in these countries speak really good English so don't worry about the rest of the book!"
  23. ^^Come with us first, I make it easier.
  24. That's also a holiday week for some districts. Add in the fact that we have NO CLUE what any travel or parks or vacations will be like then I would probably plan to skip Universal and wait till there's another coaster for you to get your moneys worth. This is based on your info and not normal advice I would give some one.
