  1. Really? We've come full circle back to the <> has no room?
  2. ^Good one, thanks! Can't imagine how I forgot another cookie cutter B&M!?!?
  3. So what were the actual 2012 rides we're going off of? Cars Land at DCA Deja Vu at SFNE X-Flight at SFGAm Wild Eagle at Dollywood Superman at SFDK Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg SkyRush at Hersheypark New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Manta at Sea World San Diego OzIris at Parc Asterix Swarm at Thorpe Park Wodan at Europa Park Divertical at Mirabilandia Shambhala at Port Aventura So looking at that list, NOT thinking about my own disappointments, but thinking about which one was the most OVER RATED...I would have to say Leviathan, Wild Eagle, or Oziris. Leviathan - So many Canadian fanboys said how awesome it was and how much airtime it had...please. Wild Eagle - Look, we all love Dollywood, but this ride is just there. Oziris - All the Europeans told us how great and forceful it was and how B&M was back to their old style. No. *Note I'm not counting a bunch of Windseekers, Water Rides, Chinese stuff that very few people rode, or Dinosaurs Alive...please feel free to post big ones I've forgotten about!
  4. That's YOUR opinion. We've hit up Holiday World on at least two previous TPR Trips and gotten great perks. There just wasn't that much of a draw to go there next year as there's nothing new for most people. SFGAm has X-Flight which a bunch of our members have not yet ridden. It's also much more of a full day park. Like others have said, shorter drive or not, Holiday World is out of the way for our itinerary.
  5. Schlitterbahn will be our early arrival park for the Texas Midwest Trip. It will be an addon for anyone able to come in a day early!
  6. Yeah, you should hit up SFMM and Knott's based on your likes. I would recommend late May to early June. That's a nice time for weather and crowds. If you want to wait and guarantee to get on the new coaster at SFMM you'll need to wait till much later in the summer and then you have bad crowds and weather.
  7. I agree with those who have talked about how this ride is more of a 'motion simulator'. I can ride Spiderman without a problem, but motion simulators and Transformers both made me a bit nauseous. It's a lot of screens and a lot of Michael Bay action!
  8. Ticket prices can easily be found on their website, along with hours and information. Prices will probably go up a bit by next summer as Sea World just announced a price hike and that usually means Busch will as well. It's always better if you can get a combo ticket or annual pass as it will save you some big money. Once you get closer and know you'll really be visiting, feel free to post again and ask for more detailed information.
  9. Don't get your hopes up. If you look at the amount of days, driving, and parks, you will see there's really no way to go!
  10. Pretty sure one of our hotels is walking distance to a White Castle.
  11. Robb is at the Transformers event right now and will bring a full report soon. Make sure to follow Theme Park Review on Twitter and Facebook for all the most up to date info! It will open THIS SUMMER!!!!
  12. So....when do we start speculating on height restriction??? Disney has a mouse down the street at 42". Other Cedar Fair Mice are at 44". Kristen rode one at Mirabilandia at 36". Jaguar is 48". So thoughts?
  13. ^We've done several shorter USA Tours in the past. North East, Texas, Deep South, etc. There's not a shorter USA one planned for next year, but probably will be for 2014.
  14. I think you mean 'some Leviathan of a giga coaster'.
  15. ^Seems like an odd name for the location, park, and Merlin.
  16. I assume something terrible will happen to Lagoon before they can build this 2014 coaster as it seems I will now be visiting Magic Springs and Six Flags Mexico in 2013...which leaves Lagoon as the only major North American park for me to visit! If it's still there in 2014, I see a great reason to finally make it there with this new coaster!
  17. Here's the thing. I'm really not sure all of these are going to be 'scrapped'. It seems to me that they could certainly salvage some if not all of these and rebuild. Probably cheaper than buying something new. And if there's anything we know about the Jersey Shore it's that they're 'Cheap'!
  18. This ones for Chadster, and all the other whores out there! KT on the kids only Funtown Pier credit!
  19. I"m curious to see if Victory Kingdom actually finishes building out, or if we go back in four years and it's exactly the same. My money's on the latter.
  20. It's doable as a day trip, but very very far, and you never know if you get stuck in one of China's legendary traffic jams. I would allow about four hours to go each way. The park is VERY busy. 3 hour lines for Dinoconda. When we visited we did not have time for the museum. We just had time for the three credits.
  21. ^Throw in a Capybara and you win. World's Largest RODENT!!!!!
  22. ^Are you really Australian?!?!? Rarely do we have an Australian poster who gets it and posts great stuff like this!!!! Really, great way of putting it!
  23. A monkey riding a Capybara...seriously. Amazing.
  24. We almost always use rail passes, but I'm pretty sure you could get a ticket last minute for just a non-reserved car if all the reservations were booked.
  25. ^Oh, it's on! We brainstormed the trip shirt over a terrible Chinese Meal on the China Trip and are very excited!
