^They are. There are some test RFID Fastpass machines setup at some locations but I've never seen it used yet. There is a ton of awesome stuff coming over the next few years. Really excited for it all.

The animals didn't jump out of their enclosure and attack guests. The zoo did their job just fine. I don't understand how anyone could fault the zoo here!?!?

It was absolutely a top ten coaster. Probably a top ten coaster through about 2003/2004ish. Then every year it's just more and more sad as it becomes rougher, more braked, and less rideable.

Thanks for the info...I don't think they can really do much wrong with this project so I can't wait to see how it continues to evolve over the next year and a half.

This park seemed to be doing pretty well back in 2010. I think it's kind of a cop out to say that one bad season led it to close after all this time. There must be more to the story. Hopefully they can find a new owner or plan or something! It was definitely one of the more decent smaller UK Parks.

For those of us not following this super close, can someone explain what the changes are compared to when the ride was first announced?

I mainly ride them at this point just to piss off other enthusiasts. Same with powered coasters, I don't even count them, but I ride them just to annoy others. I'm awesome.

I last rode Vortex in 2007 and it was so brutal it left me with one of those day long headaches where you feel like you did real permanent damage. I do hope it's taken out and soon. Hasn't Kings Island been rumored to get a B&M Invert forever now!?!? At least since CF bought out Paramount. It would fit great in that area!

^See that's interesting. Granted, it's been about four years since my last ride on either, but if I took that last ride I easily preferred Anaconda to Vortex. Vortex tried to kill me and left me with one of those day long brain stem Voyage headaches.
