  1. Just adding to what most of you have said, yeah, this is not out of the ordinary at all. Roller coasters are giant big machines and there are more and more of them so there will be more of them breaking down or having issues. Throw in the supply chain issues on top of everything else mentioned and yeah, that's where we're at. Can't wait till 2025 when we look back at this thread from whatever horror is going on then and laugh!
  2. Please, keep this discussion on track and don't argue about stuff we've been arguing about for over a year now, thanks.
  3. Yeah, I mean, the thing flipped and that's the #1 problem, but obviously some people were able to get the seatbelt right off and get out un-injured. It's a timing/panic/terrifying thing. What if you breathed in just as you went under, you would be choking and have no chance to undo a seatbelt. What if you banged your head on something and were out of it? What if you're a child and the belt is a little tight? I mean, I've had issues undoing some seatbelts on coasters and I'm a 'pro'. This goes back to my whole thing that there should NOT be hard restraints on any water ride. I'm with others. Velcro or no restraints please!
  4. Last I heard was JDC *could* be back up by Friday but probably not, no for El Toro.
  5. Interesting. At least they're getting new and more employees?!?!
  6. Really trying to figure out how the ride op didn't see a stroller in the loading area?!?!
  7. ^HA! Thanks for the shout out! Hey, like you said, it's a new park in Korea with some decent rides. Small or not, I think this will help us come back sooner than later!
  8. ^Like you said, it was a series of unfortunate events. Hopefully this will be a lesson to ALL parks and re-training and new procedures are put in place to help minimize the chance that something like this happens again.
  9. Super sad. I've always felt uneasy going on any water ride with a 'restraint'. In fact, I will NOT go on a water ride where I cannot undo or get out of the restraint myself. Such a horrible accident.
  10. Message Robb and he can look into it.
  11. Yeah, great ride, but I wonder with the extreme forces and low capacity if it was probably time to retire it.
  12. ^Happy that our friendly neighbors to the north can finally get some parks in!
  13. Wow! That Ferris Wheel car is crazy! I know our friend Jack would pretty much die!
  14. ^Yeah. These rides are all a mess from not running normal for almost two years now. Add to that reduced staffing and other drama with shipping, parts availability, etc. and it's not the best summer for parks. We just have to try and be positive and hope that things are back to more normal by next year.
  15. Just getting caught up on everything since being away and this is a great TR! The sunscreen flying at you is hilarious but also terrifying. I think you got very lucky with crowds, weather, and operations! Happy to see them still trying for food options inside the park.
  16. ^Doubtful. Disney was one of the last parks still offering a 'free' skip the line program. It's about time they jump on the pile of cash to be made here.
  17. ^I know right?! Go Belgium! Can't wait to visit next year!
  18. Yeah, trust me, I'd love to throw Wildcat into the fire and then flood it with a waterpark but LR makes more sense.
  19. On a Saturday night it will still be VERY busy, but I'm sure you'll be able to knock a few things out. Depending on what you care about credit wise, first thing in the morning I would hit up Storm Runner or Fahrenheit if they're running as they're more temperamental. Also, keep in mind that a lot of the stuff up front will already have lines cause it opens early for Sweet Start for Hershey hotel guests and others.
  20. I can't believe how much Toverland has grown through the years, yet still retained so much of what made them super fun in the beginning!
  21. ^Yeah we noticed when they're running four trains and the ride is working the line flies!
  22. Ugh, it gets worse, it was an 11 year old child that died.
  23. ^I assume we'll see Lightning Racer go away at some point as that rarely gets a line and is in prime water park expansion area!
  24. Yes, the racing thing is insane! Hopefully this is good news for Toro and they're inspecting and working on it and it's not just closed off and ignored the rest of the season.
  25. Wow, so just hearing about this today and it's pretty terrible. One dead, three seriously injured when their rapids boat flipped? I didn't realize it had JUST reopened as well. Sad.
