Yes most of the parks opened but operated much less (both schedule and rides). Cologne is beautiful, nicer than Hamburg, if you plan for Europa but it doesn't work out you can always visit Strasbourg on the French side. Super amazing city to visit!

I wouldn't even count on being able to go this October! Germany is not doing as well with the vaccinations as we would have hoped and it's possible they could keep restricting the parks attendance. Not to mention, the schedules I'm sure will be very changed and quite fluid. I don't think anyone can help you until MUCH closer and we have an idea of what parks will be operating. All of those parks are great options, but there's just no way of knowing right now what will be possible.

As others have said, most days the water park is busier so make sure you're dressed and ready for it at opening! Don't take forever with lockers and changing, be ready!

^And that's part of the problem. When nearby coaster enthusiasts don't even want to go and shell out the money, a lot of GP doesn't want to either. It's overpriced and not operationally pleasant at this time. I hope they get it better and soon!

Yeah, this guy is a real idiot. Apparently he's also involved in some shady government stuff back in his hometown. I honestly don't know what's the worse excuse; the 'Do you know who I am?' or the 'Do you know how much I paid?'. Both make you look like an ass!

Definitely want to get back to this park sooner than later!

^^This is America, rent a car. Our public transportation system isn't quite up to the task! If you want a break during the day, want to go try a nearby restaurant, do things on your own schedule you'll want a car.

So what do we think the problem is that EVERY six flags park in the chain cannot get food service down!? And more importantly, how does it get fixed? I applaud you that you were willing to wait an hour, but something really needs to get fixed. Thanks for the Trip Report!

Yay! Glad to see this back!!!

I'm really impressed that they pulled it off! Good for them! It seems all of the Six Flags parks are doing great with ride operation and struggling a little bit with Food Service. We had good luck in Texas using the Mobile Ordering option. I hope they can start opening more rows soon as we've seen at some other parks as that will help with capacity.

That is the million dollar question right now! I assume we'll see info released next week. They won't want to release anything tomorrow due to April Fools Day, and then it's the weekend, so hopefully ticketing/pass info the week of the 5th.

Really happy that they can finally open back up! Slightly crazy that it took 10 MONTHS longer than Universal Florida!

^&^^ Thank you both for your reports. I really hope Lightning Rod can get somewhat reliable, I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous after this long and after taking it down for over half a year. I really hope that we can get the Covid thing under control because the reports I keep hearing from everyone about Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg make me want to stay away. I was pleasantly surprised while in Texas as we only ran into two places in a week that were scary no masks as if Covid didn't exist. Sounds like Tennessee would be worse.

We were just at SFOT last week and the way everything was running Shockwave was the BEST coaster in the park! Seriously, that back car has the best ejector air time and forces!
