What seaside New Jersey park is/was this?
KBrylczyk replied to Schrecken's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hahaaaaaaaaa, someone miraculously confused New Jersey with California. Today is a good day. -
Another Slingshot accident
KBrylczyk replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You know, when the last one happened at Mount Olympus, I mentioned to a friend that I though the elastic ones had been outlawed. I was quickly corrected, of course. I think it's time to outlaw the elastic ones. Those cords don't hold up very well over the years. They get brittle and snap easily, as has been demonstrated twice now in the last month. -
Robb & Elissa in Japan - 2015!

It's seriously nothing like you'd expect. For as huge as it is its actually a very mild ride. -
Scare LA 2015 coverage!
KBrylczyk replied to DallasAlvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Can't wait for Scary Farm and Dark Harbor. Special Ops: Infected was the craziest thing I've ever done in a theme park! Running through the park with zombies dropping out of trees, blowing up a bridge, being chased through the lodge, defending a downed helicopter, just wild! -
Halloween might just re-sell me a ticket. They're trying pretty damn hard to not sell tickets with Walking Dead and Jabbawockeez, though. Ugh. If Halloween is the soundstage maze I think I'm required to go. Edit - To clarify, I have nothing against Jabbawockeez. I'm sure the show will be awesome like it is in Vegas. When it comes to halloween events, though, I sure as hell don't think of a breakdance group. Why can't USH have the awesome shows USO has? They already murdered Bill & Ted like a bunch of wussies, at least have a horror sideshow style thing like Jack's show in USO.

You just answered your own question. We're not talking about it, HHN, FrightDome, etc, simply because we have no freakin' clue what's happning with those events. Ugh, I hate how late ScareLA is in the year. If these events expect me to buy a ticket and plan a trip, I prefer to do it knowing what I'll be getting into. I've yet to make and halloween plans for SoCal since nobody has bothered to say a thing yet.

You're going to get very bored by day 4 at Uni, trust me. -
First time in Orlando
KBrylczyk replied to epstan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You're spending 2 weeks in Orlando and want to spend the most time at Universal, a 2-park resort? You're aware Disney has 6 parks on property, yes? Dedicate one week alone to Disney, spend two, maybe three days at Universal, one day at Busch, one day at SeaWorld, and a half day at Fun Spot. Any remaining time just mess around. -

How's Gatekeeper fare with the GP? I've not ridden it yet but I've heard it's pretty bland. By the same token, Valravn looks like it'll be the same thing. Big and pretty but mostly a bore. Dammit, B&M, did your balls drop off in 2004? -

They have a lot of work left to do. Looking good, but let's hope they can finally finish this place instead of delaying it yet again. Friggin' China. -

More and more track is installed and yet I still haven't the slightest clue what the heck is going on with this ride, haha. I love it! -
Crazy Chinese Water Canon Slide.

I dunno, I get the feeling it'd be like a super-fast and violent AquaSpa experience you see in every mall. Just, you know, with way more water. -
Considering the only Maglev train in the world can't take a turn without a ridiculously huge radius, no. Edit - Try again in a few decades once Japan gets the system worked out.

Sweet! Maybe I'll be able to beat my record of 5 rides in a row without getting up from the seat! -

You just reminded me of a certain two trip members, not gonna name names, who threw on their kimonos and stood at the top of the escalator greeting guests for a while. -
Despite having a Batman clone nearby at Great Adventure, I thought when we visited a few years ago (pre yolocoaster and tc) that besides Tatsu, Apocalypse (which I hear is running like crap now) and maybe Ninja, Batman was the best ride in the park. To each his own I guess. Really? Because the only time I've bothered with SFMM's version was at WCB last year and it hurt like the dickens.

Holy crap, I didn't even notice the barrel roll before the final dive. I blame the video's god-awful editing. Awesome! -

I get the feeling this is going to be one of those coasters I won't dare to raise my hands on.
