  1. ^ Journey is totally worth it by itself. The hype is real.
  2. So what you're telling me is I'll be doing one lap of YOLO in the morning followed by an hour and 45 minutes of Twisted Collosus, then at night I'll be doing one lap on X2 and Tatsu, a few shots on Supes, then nothing but Twisted Collosus, is that correct?
  3. Definitely sounds like an indoor Frisbee or Afterburner. I've found that taking a basic flat ride, putting it indoors, and adding lighting, sound, and smoke effects almost always takes a mediocre ride and elevates it to something AWESOME!
  4. I'd blame Six Flags' stellar maintenance record before Intamin.
  5. I've only ridden once and it was off-balance and amazing. I'm dreading the time I ride it and they balance it out, but I feel it's like a rite of passage at this point.
  6. Uh oh...it seems to be a chaperoned event. In my experience that's never a good thing. Looks like I'll be going for a drive during the day, guys!
  7. Yeah, I know, right? And what's with all those Mountains at the Disney parks? God, it's so annoying.
  8. Craig, seriously, what the heck is happening over in England? Get it together, man!
  9. I'd pick Gardaland. I loved Mirabilandia but Gardaland is like Italy's Disney. Hell, their pirate boat ride is better than all of the Disney POtC except Paris' version. And, like the guy above me said, it's right down the road from Movieland Studios, the maddest place on earth. You owe it to yourself to experience Magma II and Twin Peaks at Caneva.
  10. Hopefully both sides' seats stay on the train.
  11. Heh, a coaster in Wuhu that makes you say whoo hoo!
  12. http://www.larsonintl.com/index.html Outside of the Flying Scooters and drop tower, I challenge you to find me one "quality" ride. They're a fairground company, plain and simple.
  13. Gonna be visiting Lagoon in about a week. Driving up from Vegas after work next Wednesday night, Lagoon on Thursday, then venturing through the Bonneville Salt Flats and random desert stuff on the way back to Vegas on Friday.
  14. ^ No you can't. Paris Small World is incredible. It's like what happens when the original meets Sinbad's Storybook Voyage and they have a beautiful baby. ...but then they club that baby to death for being impure and just built another Small World instead.
  15. Sweet. Two excellent reasons to get to Kentucky Kingdom now! Now if only they'd blow up T3...
  16. Don't get too excited. After TC I'm fairly positive they're not adding anything significant. Probably something flat ride-ish, but that they attempt to market as a coaster....
  17. That...that isn't a waterslide. That's just a tarp they threw on the ground with bowling lane bumpers on the side. Also looks ridiculously painful to ride.
  18. My problem with Goliath is that it's just so boring. It's fun, don't get me wrong, but there's no real oomph to the ride outside of the helix o' doom that's been tamed. The first drop is pretty bad, though the tunnel at the bottom is great. The high turn is cool but not thrilling. The "airtime" hill provides zero airtime. The MCBR, at least the past few times I've ridden, have brought the train to a complete stop. After the MCBR it's just random turns and the helix o' doom which, as I mentioned before, has been tamed to be nowhere near as forceful as it used to be. It has some good ideas but just poor, boring execution.
  19. A BIT?! That thing tried to amputate my legs four times! It was awesome, but holy crap!
  20. Wait...beg for a ride? You have no means of transportation? Might wanna fix that.
  21. They've gotta deal with me this weekend. You've got it easy.
