The only problem I find with sony is that they are overpriced. Especially the media. The cost of memory sticks are quite a bit more then the other non-sony medias.

Those cars look like something right of star wars.

Ahh, ok I see it now. That's pretty weird to have a gap in the track like that. -

Is there a closer pic of the track section in question? Becaus I really don't see this gap. And I really don't think it's due to a cold/warm expansion issue. Otherwise they would have done that in other spots. I can't remember seeing supports done like that on other coasters in cold climates. -
Shouldn't be a problem to get down to ride Avalanche. It's just down the street. In fact you should be able to see Hades in the distance on a POV of Avalanche. The lift hill should be pointing directly at Hades more or less. Avalanche should not be missed. It baffles me just how such a small ride can produce such speed and airtime.

^ I don't think it was a gap in the tracks that was being talked about. It was the two thin set of supports that were placed side by side. Or at least that's what I found odd in that picture. -
Overrated coasters in your opinion
Carnage replied to Deadromanticx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The thing about Gemini is that it seems to never race anymore. I rememer back in the early 90s it used to be always side by side. I remember it being a really fun ride. But it just doesn't seem to race the same way it used to. -
Though it comes down to personal taste I prefer Canon. I've got a Canon SD500. Any of the SD series are extremely compact. Secure digital media(which the SD500 uses) tends to be cheaper them Sony's memory stick. But you probably can't go wrong with either.

Overrated coasters in your opinion
Carnage replied to Deadromanticx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I personally love MF, but admit that it's overated in the sense that it's not the hands down #1. So just enlighten yourself and drop the attitude. -
^ Twin wooden coaster. http://rcdb.com/id186.htm

I actually like SLCs and Boomerangs.

Help! My computer is being attacked!
Carnage replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Random, Random, Random
I thought it was funny at first. But it's kind of getting annoying now. -
I'm planning on going there this summer. From what I've read La Ronde has a repuation as one of the worst run Six Flags parks. Rude/slow staff, one train ops even in the middle of summer, slow capacity, etc. I'm hoping it exceeds my expecations.

That Mack coaster looks pretty cool. I plan on going to Montreal for La Ronde at some point this summer. Maybe I can fit in a trip up to Quebec City. How far between Montreal and Quebec City is it? Google maps has it at 3 hours, but that's not always correct.

Plus remember that Robb had special permision to use a lipstick camera in that way. You're not going to be able to just walk up to some random ride and ask if you can duct tape a camera to the train. They're all going to tell you no.

Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

^ That's not a bad idea. Some of the mascots already have experience, so they can be the one's asking you to cough. -
"Must be in a Coaster Club"
Carnage replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I always refer to us as Trekkies without the costumes. There's a few nuts in every club. Another option if you just want entrance to the events is Rideworld. It's only $10. There's plenty of smaller low cost clubs out there. It's just a personal decision wether or not you think the more expensive clubs are worth it. I personally don't put much weight on publications just because it's all available online anyways. All the major stuff I'm intersted in will drift onto the forums anyways. -
^ Are you selling body parts too now? If so I get one too right?

Canada's Wonderland is done this way. The metal detectors are before the turnstiles/ticket booths. The last time I was at PCW on cheerleader day I had to sit across from 2 chearleaders on Slegehammer. 10 year old chearleaders in mini skirts, sitting across from you on bucket seats is not a good thing. I spent the whole ride looking straight left. At least one of the Paramount parks is run properly. Co-incidence that it's in Canada? I think not.

^ I assume you mean booking for your parents, etc.? As a 15 year old can't book a hotel room.

Clifton Hill - Niagara Falls, ON

You must have been really lucky, unless it reopened that year. From what it seems it was closed just 3 days after opening. This was the best I could find so far: Link
