  1. Well you never know what happens when you drink that buffalo water. Oh and to stay on topic: PCW is fun.
  2. lol what else have I done today? Oh wait you mean the metric system thing don't you?
  3. Techically that would be the side of the mountain.
  4. That is true. However the problem with the park from our perspective, is the fact that it doesn't need a signature attraction like CP,SFMM,SFGAdv,etc. They could build the worlds tallest coaster(they definetly have the money). But it wouldn't make sense money wise because it would barely affect attendance at all. A small increase in enthusiast attendance wouldn't even make a blip in their profits.
  5. ^ Actually PCW's season is nearly the same as Cedar Point's. They open at the same time. They just lack the few extra weekends in October, and a few weekdays in May. Actually even though the park calendar doesn't say so they might be open later in October. Last year they had their haloween events after the park "closed". Their haloween events are a paid admision(season pass holders get a slight discount). Not sure if they're doing the same again this year. Though I refuse to go to a haloween event that makes me pay normal park admision even though I have a season pass.
  6. Can someone translate what "naff" means in north american english?
  7. I'm not sure I would descrive Wonderland's coaster collectin as "crappy". Average definetly though. Even though their coasters aren't the best, I can definetly come up with many, many coasters I've ridden that are worse. They have a ride collection that many US parks would kill for. Unforunatly the park has zero competition, and so therefore doesn't need to build anything that's world record breaking, or world's best. Even on off years when they build nothing their attendance will not dip at all. And even when they build a coaster they don't get a big spike like the US parks would.
  8. You're not crazy Lou, I was experiencing the same thing last night. But I haven't seen it since. It could have been due to the browser caching the new editor and spazzing out when it vanished.
  9. The word I spell wrong most often is "wrong".
  10. Techically it's just "La Ronde". It's six flags run, but has not had the Six Flags name officially added yet. I go to PCW all the time. It's a well run park, which has a lineup of rides which is as average as they come. La Ronde I'm assuming I'm going to go to sometime this summer, just no idea when.
  11. ^ What does being a SFMM fan have to do with how good CP is? Beleive it or not they are not in competition with each other.
  12. As far as food goes I'd say CP actually ranks pretty low. There's not really anything there that I really crave. I normally just drink, and snack on small stuff. Then once we leave the park we go to a good sit down place locally.
  13. Cedar Point is an extremely over rated park. Sure it has a good ride lineup. But there are ALOT of parks I've been to that are more "fun" or are run much better. It's a good park, but it's not the hands down top park in the world like the media makes it out to be.
  14. Yes it would. Dragster ran with only 4 cars for the first while in it's opening season. From what I remember hearing it actually ran a bit faster during that time.
  15. X does a vertical drop/raven turn/backflip(the seats do a 360 backwards rotation)/ normal turn/half-half/raven turn/half-half/brakes.
  16. A full/full is an element where the train does a full 360 inline spin, at the same time the seats themselves to a 360 rotation. That element on X is a half/half. Where the train does a 180 flip, while the seats do a 180 rotation. If you watch a video of X this should start to make sense. A raven turn is basically a giant half loop, except the seats are rotated to keep you level. The raven turns on X are the 1st half loop, and the last half loop after the half/half. Hope that made somewhat sense.
  17. ^ You told me you were a huge backstreet boys fan??
  18. Launching from outside of the station means that the 2nd train can be loaded while the first train is on the circuit. At least that's the setup I assume it's doing?
  19. I remember seeing those on an episode of the amazing race a few seasons ago. Looks like alot of fun.
  20. ^ Could always link directly to some rcdb.com pics.
  21. Nemesis is what I'm looking forward to the most. Though really after that it's a toss up. I'm looking forward to just about everything.
  22. ^ But is it going to be finished?? I wouldn't be all that surprised if they finished the volcano, but left the waterfall alone. But if they finished the waterfall that would blow me away. Too bad Marineland isn't cheap though. I'll probably have to go there though to see this with my own eyes.
  23. Got a chance to see the pics posted on screamscape. I gotta say it looks pretty cheesy. I'll reserve full judgement for when I actually ride it though. Though from the outside it doesn't really look all that good. If it took this long why even bother finishing it? It's not like anyone really cares. Marineland's customers don't even know that their "largest coaster" advertisement is false, they definetly wouldn't notice the new themeing.
  24. I was scared for my life just reading this trip report. You've gotta be the bravest person I've seen. Or dumbest depending on how you look at it.
  25. I didn't believe this when I saw the plans drawen in crayon. And I beleive it even less now that I see it's being headed up by 3 teenagers. Is the press really that naive?
