Thanks for the nice comments. Actually your comments about the editing match my own nit picks. The original PCW video I made was actually even longer, but I had to cut it down to make it under the 5 minutes. That's why it kind of seems a bit out of place in spots. The full video is actually posted in the video forum. I had to laugh at the homoerotic comment. Not really what I was going for, but I got a good laugh out of that.

Hehe, I actually can't wait to tell him that I got him posted holding a purse so that all the internet could see. It's al worth it just for that.

The video would have been better if the audio was removed. I find the cheering and voices in the background kind of annoying. I'm going to have to plan a trip to SFGAdv in 2007.

Cool my PCW video made the cut. I actually liked my other two submitals more, but kind of expected the PCW to make it due to being less common. (I'm guessing you got ALOT of Cedar Point videos )

I've seen on multiple occasions mapquest direct you to miss your exit, get off at the next exit, and then backtrack getting off at the proper exit. So make sure you proofread the directions in detail before you leave.

You may as well ask a ride op who really killed JFK. You'll have about as luck getting an answer to either question.

It's a good idea in theory. But part of why forums are popular is because they are anonymous. People can post their opinions and bias without being seen. Alot of people would shy away from a video forum idea for that reason.

Just remember Cedar FAir isn't playing RCT. They're not going to spend another billion dollars to convert PCW to a B&M/Intamin park. Even if they did the park would get the same amount of people. ONe of the reasons PCW doesn't get those types of rides is that the park attracts millions of people from Toronto no matter what they do. Wether they add a $20 million dollar roller coaster, or a bunch of outhouses in the parking lot. The bottom line will be near the same.

The swan ride was moved to Michigain's Adventure a few seasons ago. I assume you are talking about the Wave Swinger? It was most likely down because of the wind. We rode it Sunday afternoon, though the op had to double check the wind before starting the ride. It must have been borderline too windy, and my swing was spinning like crazy on that ride.

^ There's also the small strip of land between the 400 and the entrance road. (where the big marqee sign is). Still seems like a stretch at 80 acres though.

Actually that's a good point about Skyhawk. I'm postive on Sunday SKyhawk was running a shorter program then it was on Saturday. It just seemed like it was missing at least 1 or 2 full swings on Sunday compared to the ride we had on Saturday.

A ride would not run with a konwn flaw that would cause a catastrophic failure. That's just stupid. Parks are not going to run a ride that they know is at risk of derailing at any time.

The wait for Mean Streak was actually longer on the board then it should have been. It was more like 15-20 minutes tops. The end of the line was inside the final straightaway in towards the station. I've heard the old pirate ride building was being used as a warehouse, so the chances of something going in there is somewhat slim.

1) only a small amount of track is on site. So you can't assume it's all triangular. and 2) Have you been to the park yet? The footprint is not small by any means. It covers a very large amount of land. There's already ALOT of footers in place, and more are getting poured all the time.

I'd also like to know where they are getting that expansion space for Canadas Wonderland. Unless by expansion space they are reffering to space with no rides. PCW has lots of grassy areas, so maybe they are reffering to that? Park management wise I'm on the fence, leaning towards not a whole lot of real changes. But I am excited about the potential of my trips to Cedar Point getting much cheaper for me and my freinds.

It is indeed down. Broke down shortly before I got there on Saturday, and stayed down all weekend. Most of the rumours I've read mentioned are about something related to the lift having blown. Estimated downtime between 3 days and 3 weeks. In other words, it's broken and no one know's when it will be back up.

Sounds awesome. I had a blast on those battle boat things there last year. This sounds like a similar idea.

I've had hamsters kill each other. One of them only had one eye from a fight. Ironically it was after I came back from African Lion Safari when I found the one hamster dead with it's back split wide open. Turns out male hamsters don't play nice together. Weren't even my hamsters, I was taking care of them for a freind over the summer.

Mean Streak isn't really all that rough since they slowed it down, it's just boring. But I found Beast to be much worse then Mean Streak ever was. The jack hammering on Beast just seemed to slam me into the rock hard seat over and over again for the entire ride. You'll have your own opinion of the ride of course, but I personally find it almost too rough to ride.

Do you know if it was the server that couldn't handle the load? Or was it phpBB that couldn't take the load? I was curious about that, as during most of the downtime the forums would be down, but the mainpage would load fine. Or is the forums on a different server then the main page?

Hehe, yeah that hand stamp was gross. It was pretty funny whenever the ride ops would ask to see my hand stamp. They'd kind of get this shocked look on their face and then just move on to the next person.
