^ Ok, I see your point. Sorry I didn't notice your location.

^ You make it out to seem like it's expensive. The DVDs aren't that expensive, and you get alot of good coaster videos. If you're buying the DVD just for the proposal clip, well then that would be odd.

The weird thing was that on Saturday the same two seats were not running. But yet no high winds sign. So the whole thing is kind of confusing. Unless winds were causing the cars to go up/down slower. But again that doesn't really seem that likely. Maybe they put random signs out just to produce conversations. -

^ We were wondering the same thing. All it meant was that two sets of cars weren't running. Not sure if the direction of the wind can affect which cars can run or not. Or it could very well be just an excuse not to run all the cars. Kind of like Superman at SFMM being down for too nice weather conditions. -
The video of it is on the volume 2 DVD.

^ I love the fact that we were sitting in the last seat, and yet we still heard him say clear while sitting on the brake fun. -

Nice meeting you as well Tim. Would have been cool if we could have had more time at the park together with you guys. I find the lap bar on Minebuster odd. It's not really as if the lap bar clicks farther on that second hill, as much as the entire lap bar mechanism tightens. Not sure if that makes any sense at all though. -
Finally got a chance to write my TR from the weekend. I met up with Derek and Nicole over the weekend to hang out at PCW. Friday night I took off from work an hour early to meet up with Nicole for about 2.5 hours. Friday was one of the weirdest days I've spent at the park. Everything seemed to be breaking down around us, not too mention some very strange ride ops. Rides that broke down inlcuded:Minebuster,Italian Job, Wild Beast, Tomb Raider, Top Gun(lost article search). Tomb Raider with ride ops climbing all over it This could explain all the breakdowns. When in doubt, blame Microsoft I hear ACE was in the park today Nothing is more relaxing after the park closes then a good helping of sin Saturday I headed into the park for opening to meet up with Derek and Nicole. I got a call from Nicole as I was entering the parking lot, saying that Derek and her were in line for Tomb Raider. So I headed over to meet them at the exit. I already have that credit, so I didn't miss not riding TR. Quite possibly the worst job of handstamping ever. It took me forever to clean that crap off my hand. We headed over to Wild Beast, where we were treated to a wild boards ass, complete with metal ass nuggets. I was going to teach a physics lesson to Derek and Keith. But then I remembered I got a 21 in grade12 physics Overwhelmed by the sight of Drop Zone, Derek assumes the position This Dragon was more then happy to provide Derek with another groping credit. It wasn't all that interested in Nicole for some reason. Today was cheer leading day at PCW. These don't look like cheer leaders though. Way too much clothing to be cheer leaders. Best coaster in the park, even though if it does suffer from some of the usual Arrow vibration. Derek and Nicole do some credit whoring. What followed for me was a ride of complete pain and torture. With my knees firmly pinned against the metal seat back, this resulted in me nearly getting off limping. In TPR tradition, Vortex as seen through trees. Thunder Run. Note the guy in white glaring at us. Not quite sure what his problem was, as I noticed him giving us that dirty look in Vortex's line as well. In Canada we grow bagels on trees. Worst wait of the day. It was long, cold, and rainy. Though at least we were inside when the lost article search hit. Credit whore or the next pop princess? Two fun rides, that aren't run all that intense. Overall I had a great time, and we got alot done in the time we had at the park. Plus it was nice to meet some more pople in person that I'll be going to the UK with. And to end off this TR: "CLLLLEAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!"

Nice TR Derek. It was a blast hanging out with you guys this weekend. Just got home now myself. Probably post most of my pics tomorow sometime. Too tired to get through it all tonight. Here's a couple teaser pics though. No TR is complete without wild boar ass. My hand stamp of doom. Took 3 wetnaps, 4 napkins, and 5 minutes worth of soap and water to get rid of. -

And Paramount hasn't really been building many super intense roller coasters. Not too mention that the entire Paramount chain is being sold. So unless the sale includes the rights to use the names that idea will never happen. Though it would be cool if it did, but it probably won't. -

^ "Maverick" is a western themed name. Top Gun is a trademark owned by Paramount. Cedar Point is not going to build a ride themed to jets and name it Maverick. Not unless they want to get sued. -

I think MF construction started in the fall if I remember correctly. Sometime in September I think? It definetly wasn't as early as TTD. -

Was it TTD that he mentioned? I know I remember reading that he said Disaster Transport was one of their worst decisions. (the decision to enlcose Avalance Run). I might have been using prototype a bit loosely, but my point was still that CP does have a tendancy to buy into new technologies. Though Xcelerator was first, TTD was only a year later and twice the size. That was hadly proven. -

Such as? MF was a prototype(elevator cable lift hill), Wicked Twister wasn't the first, but it was still new at that time, TTD obviously was a prototype, Skyhawk is a recent prototype, etc. CP has always had to have new products, or at very least proven products pushed farther then they've been before. -

Prototypes are practically the only thing Cedar Point builds. It's like they're a glutton for punishment. -
I haven't followed Indy in years. That's sweet that Andreti is coming back. I hope he wins it, I used to be a huge fan of his. My father grew up like a couple minutes from the track.

^^ But what IS an aqua trax? I seriously don't see anything different about them with the exception of the train. It's like new coke. -

You're partly right. But it can vary depending on the part of a ride. MF has the square track on the straight hills, triangular on the overbanks and turns, and flat track for the brake run/station. -

^ Techically on most wooden roller coasters the seat belt is considered the primary restaraint. I always found that odd, but I guess situations like this are where it makes sense. -

^ I once saw an onride photo of Magnum at Cedar Point. The guy was groping what I hope was his girlfreind. Unforunatly PCW is really lacking in the quality on ride photo department. -

I find it oddly conventiant that these types of rumours ALWAYS come up after a certain rumour has been deemed most likely. Why did you not mention this before the Intamin track showed up? Only now that track shows up, rumours are a buzz, do you chime in saying "oh by the way I heard this 2 years ago". It's like all conspiracy theories, they always seem to pop up only after the fact. -

It's location isn't the best, but it's not like it's totally hidden. Anyone who walks down towards Minebuster/SKyrider/Splashworks can see it clearly. -

^ For me I'm not really complaining about what ride they're getting. Consdiering we don't even know for sure yet. What I keep complaining about is the aqua trax concept in general. I just don't understand what it is, or what sets it apart from the rest of the intamins.
