Wildcat all the way. Garfield or Peanuts?

5/10; always found the comics to be pretty dull, yet harmless and typically non-annoying. Garfield's Nightmare at Kennywood?

This has to be one of the least expected comparisons ever, but I dig it. -
^Funny you should compare Grizzly and Little Dipper. I'm not totally consistent, but sometimes in wood coaster polls I've ranked Little Dipper dead last because it's the smallest and tamest woodie I've ever ridden (other than its cousin Meteor, now). Often, though, I move up the kiddie and junior woodies ten slots and make my bottom ten out of the worst full-sized ones I've ridden. When I do that, Grizzly takes the honor.

^Easy to do (not knocking your correction tho). I used to be convinced it was "Schwarzkoph," and I knew of the surname before I was an enthusiast. -

^Nice. Cool to see the name Rick Sebak in the article. I like his work a lot. -
^When I visited in November, rope drop was delayed. All that mattered to me though was that I was part of the second group in the station for Joker, getting me the back row. Sometimes I forget to give V2 enough credit since it's now my fourth favorite coaster in the park, but it really packs a punch and always leaves me impressed. It's a great version.

I'd kinda like to see them re-acquire Wild Waves. It's so weird to me that that rinky-dink little place used to be a Six Flags, and in light of that maybe it's less strange than I think it is that no one ever seems to talk about those days. There are at least a couple smaller to mid-sized parks that have kind of a "potential [larger-] chain park vibe" already, IMO. Will be following this development.

Agreed; that was interesting! And my verdict is no. Then again, I really don't think of most theme parks as places that are known for large numbers of recycling bins, at least not compared to a lot of places nowadays that have like four confusing categories that you have to sort your stuff into, with the "trash" one given some kind of other condescending name and relegated off to the side so that it's pounded into your head that trash is bad. But I usually don't end up with a lot of recyclables at parks anyway. -

I wasn't even remotely excited about the hotel, but then I remembered just how nice it is to stay really close to theme parks while traveling, and on-site/official is as good as it gets. Something for me to look into for sure. -

^Hey, Flight of Fear was my favorite at the park as of 2012, so don't feel too weird. I really enjoy the Premier spaghetti bowls, and the darkness adds to the experience, although the headchoppers are wicked on the outdoor ones. -
Dutch Wonderland 2017

^It's worth a quick stop. While not notably intense, Kingdom Coaster is on the big side for the kiddie/junior/family genre of wooden coasters. And if you're into old-school flat rides, the Dutch Wonder House (simple haunted swing) is charming and trippy. I haven't ridden them, and no one seems to talk about this anymore (maybe cuz this is a kiddie park), but last time I checked the bumper cars were Lusses. -

^I'm pretty sure I was mildly disappointed to find them a touch less roomy than the ones on other Morgan hypers--but not to the point of diminishing the experience of airtime on the ride, thankfully. And much better than Magnum's! (And looking back, it also may have just been an initial worry before riding. At any rate, the ejector on this thing is top-tier and I'm glad people still recognize that, what with all the new rides that compete with it!) -

^I'm pretty sure that the train design, apart from specifics, has been known for quite some time, and it was just wishful thinking that it might be something more favorable. I continue to be very disappointed by this. -

I voted for KD on the basis of Twisted Timbers alone. Only thing is, I know you travel a lot, so if you know you'd get there fairly soon regardless, we might be back to square one among those choices. KD was fine for me in 2012, and they seem to have improved noticeably since then--I know major chain parks can be hit or miss, and there's always potential for a bad day, but I'm semi-confident Kings Dominion is one of the better parks at this time.
