Man, I wish I had your life if that's what you consider "heartbreaking." Nah, just being a jerk. I keep thinking to myself that I feel really bad for everyone affected by this situation, which is literally exactly what I say after a tragedy. I get it, stuff happens, people aren't entitled to a specific experience at a park, and folks can schedule trips at times more likely to avoid predictable problems, but this still sucks. Edit: My day is also now, uh, the thing that happens when you see Steel Vengeance running on the webcam.

(Taking a risk that you might be joking but I think you're for real) I just bought some really cute ones with two zippered pockets, one big enough for my phone. I was surprised how good they look--like your traditional bog-standard dorky ones on the rack, but really nice on! I'm still working on the being cool part, though. The pants did not accomplish that.

Some great photos here--appreciated! It's interesting to see how people rank the Knott's coasters and where this one stands. I'm vacillating a bit in my anticipation for it, but someone made a good point that it's better than Boomerang!

^Wow, I don't think I was aware of the kiosks for Q-bands. That sounds much easier than the scrolling on the watches I'd imagined, but a step backwards compared to the Q-Bots. If this is indeed how it works at SFOG I still wonder why.

Grover's Alpine Express

The holding brake really added to the experience on Steel Venom for me. It felt old hat on Possessed, but I'm still in favor of them. I wish the one at SFGAm worked, but I don't even miss the one at SFDK anymore because the different layout makes up for it. I don't wish for it on Wicked Twister, either, since that one also has uniqueness in its favor.

^Or when the Kangaroo goes "Boing! Boing! Boing!" just like a kangaroo in the wild. I think I'm not making that up...if it's not a thing though it could've been a quirky operator on the mic.

I keep half-forgetting that The Crypt is still operating. I can't remember what kind of downtime it had when I visited in 2012 (unless I actually overlooked it or wrongly assumed it was closed--I'm pretty sure it really was, though). I always used to really enjoy Top Spins and not understand the hate. I wouldn't be surprised if I found them a bit more annoyingly uncomfortable now, though--I haven't hit one up in a while.
