Six Flags claims that the current membership rate at any given time will always be the lowest available. I'd be leery of taking them at their word, though, since it's Six Flags. In fact, I think they actually waffled and said something characteristically silly like "Of course, we might put them on sale someday, it's just that right now we think we won't."

The hype is REAL. Hey, maybe that's why they named it Hyperion. I'll see myself out now. -

It's great to see a comment like this, especially since Timber Terror didn't rank particularly highly in the TPR coaster poll. Oh, and since I see you specified the United States, I'm pretty sure it's my favorite in that category, too! ^^Neat to see three-across seating from back when parks would allow three people if they all fit. I heard that on Coaster (Playland), a third rider would would fall out on the second drop. I kinda doubt it, but then again, it's Coaster. -

^Very disappointing that they would advertise it and then take it away. It's not like people accidentally found some part of their site that wasn't supposed to be live--they had been actively marketing it. -

And what's so bad about the Wild Mouse at Idlewild, anyway? -

I'm pretty sure I still liked Inverters when I rode the one at Adventureland (after people I was with got stuck on it, even). I was just starting to realize that a lot of people can't stand 'em. They're on my naughty list now, though. (At the time I was more easily impressed, and didn't know how rough or uncomfortable was considered "too much.") -

Did anyone catch the Screamscape rumor (or see it elsewhere) that it will not be an RMC after all? Found it: "2019?? - New Coaster - Rumor - (12/1/17) While I haven't heard much of anything about this project in quite some time, we did get one rumor sent in claiming that RMC was no longer in the running for the park's next big coaster, which was now looking to possibly be a new impressive steel coaster project instead. If this latest info is legit, look for the new coaster to possibly open for the 2019 season." Disappointing, if true. Or, at least, that would close off one very promising possibility, and leave open any number of potentially less impressive options--but also some awesome ones. Hmmm. -

^Be sure to post your thoughts on TPR. You won't be disappointed by the new coaster. -
There is a Dorito stuck in my throat and it hurts a lot.

I totally agree; those were basically my thoughts. It was a great read, and comes off as completely believable. -

I'll add: Noah's Ark--one of the best, most involved walkthroughs around these days. Tread carefully, as some find it treacherous. Auto Race--quirky, one-of-a-kind auto ride. It's not a generic antique autos style--IIRC you don't control it yourself. Ghostwood Estate--well-themed shooting dark ride set in a haunted house. Also, it's not one of my favorites, but the carousel is classic, and typically runs the band organ. -
Where Are You Going in 2018?

I'll also throw in a vote/vouch for Kings Island and Kentucky Kingdom. Kings Island is a solid choice as I'm sure you're aware, and I doubt you'd be disappointed by Storm Chaser and Lightning Run at KK. -

I'm not totally sure what counts, but assuming a somewhat generous definition, then 2013(!) in Branson. When was the last time you were entertained by an April Fools' Day joke or prank?
