  1. I'm pondering the same itinerary for my next Florida trip. We'll see. But it'll definitely have to include those four parks. Montu is at the top of my invert rankings as well. I really enjoyed Cheetah Hunt, though, and was not disappointed in it at all. It has a lot to offer--I'd consider it a solid "complete package" type ride; just not the most intense.
  2. Children Coaster (Nagashima Spaland)
  3. Actually, I guessed it because of the recent discussion in the thread. That's great to see!
  4. Great review! The ride sounds absolutely amazing, but your criticisms were interesting as well. I know they won't please everyone with this, but I like that you could buy a t-shirt to get on the ride. Oh, and I love zydeco.
  5. I really don't appreciate all those food photos.
  6. A Wyder's Raspberry Cider. Perks of living RIGHT next to a brewery.
  7. Wild & Woolly Toboggan
  8. Same--it's crazy to think I'm saying that about a park that contains Boulder Dash. I've never been the biggest fan of the place, but that was mainly about the atmosphere (while not half bad), size and ride collection, and to an extent the operations and wait times. But by now I've read so many updates that edge it closer to "no hurry to get back" territory. In a park with Boulder Dash (which for me, unlike some folks, absolutely is at the top of my rankings).
  9. ^Nah, it's one of my top rides at SFA as well--never really had a problem with those Vekoma flyers, though like you I've been seeing much more hate than praise again lately. They don't have the signature pretzel loop of B&M flyers, but on their own merits they're fun and pretty intense. Definitely one of the coaster types I have on my list of "favorite Vekomas," not that there's much competition!
  10. ^Creepy-cool. Knowing the quality of theming we can expect, this intrigues me a lot. The ride itself seems interesting, too. I'll add Efteling to my growing "I will no longer feel bad about not visiting this park this year or in 2019" list.
  11. Did we know SFOG was switching to Q-bands? I wonder why they made the change. It'll be annoying if it turns out to be a downgrade to the experience. But I guess what really matters is that you're ultimately able to make use of them.
  12. on a butt? I mean, a good butt has stopped me in my tracks. . .but that could just be me. it's not just you bert.
  13. What a roller coaster ride. At the risk of sounding a bit hyperbolic, I feel so, so bad for all involved. But happy and relieved that it reopened!
  14. ^I like your style--any particular reason for the FunTrackers stop? I mean, I know what's there, but it doesn't seem to match the caliber of other parks on your trip.
  15. I want to make a joke or snide comment but my only thoughts are that this looks awful (and personally terrifying, though maybe it wasn't so much) yet at the same time kind of low key magnificent to behold. Kudos, Karnival.
  16. Wait, THE Mighty Quinn? Edit: cool, never heard of Chris Thompson by name, but I definitely know Manfred Mann!
  17. I, for one, haven't been bothered by the Carowinds criticism in the thread, since it basically matches my experience. I thought Worlds of Fun, Valleyfair, and Dorney had a better atmosphere. It was my least favorite Cedar Fair park until a particularly lackluster visit to Dorney. That said, it's clearly one of those CF parks that has improved a ton since my visit. And I didn't realize "top drawer" was ever used as general slang. That's the name of a boutique near me, and it always throws me off because it doesn't stick in my mind or really fit what the store is like to me.
  18. ^I've also seen adamant affirmations that Beast is not any slower than it was historically. Good luck getting folks to believe that, though.
  19. ^That's great. Anything to help people potentially get on quicker.
  20. Ride My Coaster Really Massive Coaster Ridiculously Mammoth Coaster
  21. I think I prefer addenda over appendices. (I know, I know, it's probably really "appendixes." Or is it?) No one's ever died of a ruptured addendum... Library books or cheap secondhand books?
  22. I skimmed that here and then went hunting for it in the CP thread, expecting to find out about an epic Facebook review or an altercation at the park...was disappointed.
  23. ^I see you already mentioned Thrasher's, so I guess I can't help you after all.
