  1. Responding to ^, if spinning makes a mouse more enticing to you, then I'd say not to skip Ragin' Cajun. I think it's one of the best out there. Otherwise, sure, keep it in the skippable mouse category. I will say I like Vekoma flyers, but I can't sell you on Batwing over the others--I've found them to ride very similarly.
  2. ^^Great report and look at the park. I'm glad you lucked out with seats on Twisted Cyclone. I noticed, on a rainy day at SFOT, that wet people (sorry, my brain can't think of more elegant phrasing at the moment) aren't supposed to ride Justice League. They were asking if people in line were wet and were offering paper towels.
  3. ^Aw, man. I know you'll hear at least isolated reports like that from over 99% of parks, but the Banshee crew during its opening year was absolutely top-class, even considering that the Ohio Cedar Fair parks are somewhat renowned for their operations. They were right up there with the best corporate crews and parks. I was just going to post recently that I hope they've kept it up, which, judging from recent reviews, I would guess that they mostly have (so I'm not trying to pick on anyone over just a single observation).
  4. Coaster @ PNE Playland today Here is a POV:
  5. after a trip to pier 1 imports searching for artificial ice cubes that are not shaped like little fishies, i instead got: king-sized silicone ice cube tray (cubes are king-sized. tray is small.) gray throw pillow while very cute, these are a thing i did not buy
  6. Such a shame. Really hits you to think about how something like this is possible.
  7. No joke: said user literally suggested the parking lot monorail idea. In 1994.
  8. Welp, good thing I already got everything done for the day. That's a neat view of the ride experience, and it was good to get an idea of what operations might be like (looks pretty dialed in at the moment). I'm keeping my ear to the street for news of its opening!
  9. How about 150 ft tall singing space mushrooms?
  10. Just received multiple civil emergency alerts. All of the water in town is contaminated (and boiling will make it worse). Pets are not supposed to drink the water. Water is sold out at most locations. I have a pet. She can't just drink beer!
  11. "The Texas." Would Flying Jenny be the same ride type as the infamous Mule-Go-Round?
  12. Hot Tamales at Casino Pier
  13. And I figured as much after riding the one at SFDK. Of the pendulum ride types, this is one of the ones that seems to be consistently good, and is one of the more forceful models by far.
  14. I am also keen to see how they move forward from this. I know they're not a place that would give up or cheap out, but I'm interested to see exactly what decisions they make. I hope (and am confident) they'll bounce back quickly and fully.
  15. ^That's pretty darn cool. Admittedly I feel a bit sad when parks make tributes to attractions that I wish still operated, but at the same time I appreciate and enjoy them. Also I'm honestly considering buying that knock-down punk t-shirt, and I don't even play that game, like, ever. I've just always liked those creepy little guys.
  16. Camelback Jetcoaster at (let me try to remember...ok, I was right) Himeji Central Park
  17. ^^^^Those are some great Railblazer photos. I'll remember the flavored water tip, because honestly Lifewater (etc.) is my go-to fountain drink when I'm lucky enough to find it. I've had a similar moment before, as I know someone who hasn't ridden any wooden coasters other than Grizzly.
  18. Agreed! I'm glad to hear positive reviews of this coaster. Fine with me if it's like Cheetah Hunt.
  19. A Sesame Street dark ride sounds cool--are there others out there? I'd totally ride that. (Source: I enjoyed the Thomas the Tank Engine dark ride at Fuji-Q, the Cat in the Hat dark ride, etc.)
  20. Everything looks great--very eye-catching and different. Steampunk isn't my favorite thing ever, but it seems to generally lend itself well to ride and park theming.
  21. Insane in the Membrane. Insane Clown Posse or Insane at Grona Lund?
