  1. Screaming Eagle at Fun Spot Atlanta. It has some jolts, but I’d honestly consider it a “good” lower-tier coaster—I think I liked it better than the bigger and more-praised Scandia Screamer.
  2. Shock Wave! Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts?
  3. I can’t tuna piano, but I can tune a fish!
  4. ^^^^Yes, that exists. Coaster at Playland has a bank of cubbies, with one-way “flaps,” that guests can use just before joining the individual row queues. The other side is accessible to the unload station. I wouldn’t expect a solution like this to spread much though (although I agree that I want to see parks implement these stricter policies in a much more guest-friendly way).
  5. ^Me too. Disclaimer: I can read and I understand what the sign says. But some people are speculating that it's more a "release from liability" type sign and the strict ban still only applies to the ride itself.
  6. ^According to what I've heard repeatedly, that's absolutely the case. I would've posted that myself in some of these threads, but didn't want to take the time to fact-check/cite sources in case I got some details wrong. But, anyway, yes.
  7. I have heard one or two anecdotes of people's pockets supposedly unzipping on rides, but, hey, it's the Internet--can't be certain they didn't simply forget, or have a broken zipper they should've noticed. Barring user error or bad pocket positioning, I basically have complete faith in zipper pockets and secure button pockets.
  8. I still hate how they hyped up the spooky theming but then gave it a generic McDonald's color scheme! [/rant]
  9. I broke a little girl’s bicycle by riding it
  10. An ACE Gravy Craft Cider, made with blackberry and strawberry gravy. Translation: an ACE Berry Craft Cider, made with blackberry and strawberry juice.
  11. ^Man, I'm soooo mildly curious about a thread I happened to notice disappeared in the last few days. When I left it, there was nothing resembling drama, rule-breaking or [???]. Oh well.
  12. Amtrak and AirBnB? Adventurous. I remember Pixieland being adorable (coaster was a bit sketch), and TrainTown wasn't one of my better "amusement park visits," but it's always been a great stop for train lovers.
  13. ^The weirdest thing I've ever experienced with the RMC leg restraints was some very minor, close-to-imperceptible skin irritation from the ones on Goliath, like a mild contact allergy. Unsure if it was the material, just the act of contact with them, or...ugh...irritants from other riders. I also didn't like how the original straight-across ones forced a very unnatural seating position on Outlaw Run, but thankfully that hasn't seemed quite as extreme with the current shaping.
  14. I've been following this park "closely from afar" pretty consistently for the last several years, but it's still so weird to me to see an operating waterslide and lazy river! Only at a $5 price point apparently! Yeah...something that's stuck in my mind is a detailed comment I remember reading here where someone said not to get too excited or optimistic regarding crowded days here, since they mostly correlate with rock-bottom prices.
  15. Man, that takes me back--I was obsessed with his project with Danger Mouse, DANGERDOOM. Check that out if you never have.
  16. Sometimes, out in the world, you'll get charged like 10 cents at McDonald's if you're not buying anything else. But for parks, my two worst experiences: Six Flags St. Louis--IIRC, and I know this sounds weird, but they insisted they were only allowed to give out free ice, not free water? Playland (Vancouver)--I purchased two full meals, so there was no "trying to get something for nothing" going on in the slightest here, but their version of free water was...a Dixie cup of room-temperature water. Thanks!
  17. Well, this thread was a roller coaster ride. Got all excited from the first two posts and then saw the update from today...
  18. Enchanted Forest Theme Park
  19. ^Gotcha. So yeah, I'm a bit surprised after noting the hustle on previous visits.
