  1. Hello again, everyone! Lakeshore Park has another big surprise for you with the addition of yet another new roller coaster. This one being named, Carnivore. It is a B&M invert in the Hidden Adventures area. SCR35.bmp Woodland Racer was once the only roller coaster in the park, but it is still the favorite. Might Carnivore overtake it? SCR37.bmp Standing tall among the Hidden Adventures area, Carnivore takes you on a wicked journey. SCR36.bmp After leaving the cave the station is located, you ascend up the lift and are dropped going first through a vertical loop then a zero-g roll high above the path. SCR38.bmp Then you soar into a cobra roll at heights way above the park. SCR39.bmp You take a moment to pause in the MCBR but are then dropped into a dizzying array of helices and corkscrews. The final element is an airtime hill into the brakes. SCR40.bmp As well, added to Hidden Adventures was a little cafe on the banks of the small lake. Guests can eat and watch either Amazon Rapids or Carnivore fly over the park. SCR41.bmp A new entrance closer to the front of the park was built for Hidden Adventures next to Scrambler. SCR33.bmp As you can see, the Hidden Adventures area going from this to... SCR42.bmp this was quite a transformation! SCR43.bmp I'll leave you all with another aerial view of the park. Expect more expansion to be happening near Woodland Racer in the coming updates. Thanks for looking!
  2. The trains really look cool! It's gonna be awesome seeing them soaring over the entrance at night this year.
  3. Thanks all for the kind words. Lakeshore Park has a big surprise for you all. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello again, everyone. Lakeshore Park has been busy working on their newest area called "Hidden Adventures". This expansion, for now, features a kid's coaster (with some hidden elements), a rapids ride, and a new eatery! Though, in the future, the Hidden Adventures area will become home to some new rides. On with the pictures. SCR26.bmp Here is the entrance area to the new land, Hidden Adventures. This expansion is a jungle themed area that connects off from the main strip of park. SCR27.bmp As you enter, you are immediately greeted by a large man made mountain which houses the newest kid's coaster, Expedition. SCR30.bmp Here is the finale of Expedition which speeds right passed the mountain after coming from underground. SCR31.bmp The other side of the large mountain and station of Expedition. SCR28.bmp This would be the rapids ride called Amazon Rapids. This ride climbs the face of another mountain (which guests walk under) and drops you down into a furious ride. SCR32.bmp This is the opposite side of Amazon Rapids. Here you are pushed out into a small lake and end your journey with yet another climb and drop. SCR29.bmp The final part of Hidden Adventures is this large building next to Expedition which houses the new eatery and shop. Not only can you come in here to eat and shop, but there is a nice patio on the opposite side of the building that shows great views of Expedition and its riders. SCR33.bmp In this picture, you can see the massive amounts of space Hidden Adventures has for further expansion. Expect great things from this area... SCR34.bmp Finally, I'll leave you with this aerial shot of the park. Lakeshore Park is slowly growing.
  4. Oh, nice! Can't wait to see that blog post and the rest of the train. I'm hoping for some lighting effects on it, as well.
  5. Like someone posted, looks like it did get a paint job. Before: After: Either way, though, it does have some funky support work. I guess we could call it unique?
  6. ^Well, it came from some sort of brochure. So, it must be labeling something whether it be food, merchandise, or anything else..I'm unsure.
  7. It's probably so obnoxious in order to get more people to see it and go spend the $$$ there.
  8. It's really looking great. Hopefully I'll be able to visit sometime in the future.
  9. I don't think Cedar Point has officially released it on their website yet, but here is the new park map for 2013 from some other people:
  10. I think I remember it being fan made after so many people complained over the years about TTD being a "one trick pony". I could be wrong. Either way, adding something like this at the end of TTD would of made it even more worth while, as long as the G's from it didn't mess it up or kill you.
  11. Everything looks like it's coming along quite nicely. Can't wait to see it all finished! (Especially the GCI)
  12. Tokyo and Japan in general just looks like a great place to visit. I traveled to NYC this past year and loved it, so I'm sure I'd love Japan as well since it's such a fun looking and bustling city. Can't wait to see more!
  13. Hello, everyone! Completion has been completed on the new roller coaster installed at Lakeshore Park. The coaster is a used Arrow looper from a distant park, we got quite a bargain on it, just over 2million. It would off been sold for scrap, anyway. SCR19.bmp Here is the coaster with the name classicly called Corkscrew. SCR20.bmp Closer view of its other half as it speeds over guests. SCR23.bmp As it accelerates into the helix then into the final brakes. SCR21.bmp Just beginning its twisted ride in this picture. SCR18.bmp Quite a transformation from this to.. SCR25.bmp to this! Looks like a great addition with Woodland Racer, hopefully we'll see them both thrilling riders for years to come.
  14. ^Pretty cool designs. I always find myself thinking about what if Geauga Lake or Six Flags actually succeeded. Can you imagine the rivalry that would be created between Cedar Point and them? It's always interesting to think about defunct parks and what could of been. Again, great stuff!
  15. I was the last rider of the night on Blue Streak at Cedar Point during CoasterMania.
  16. Magnum XL-200 or Corkscrew at Cedar Point. Can't quite remember which came first.
  17. Looking great! The dive loop looks bigger than I expected, unless it's just the angle it's at.
  18. brockboehm- Thanks a lot, it took me a while to figure out a name. historyfreak92- Thanks, glad you would visit! hollinwp- I'll see what I can do about that, but thanks as well. BLKDMNDS- Thanks! *As well the name of the park had changed to Lakeshore park instead, so some of the picture were outdated in the last post. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, everyone! Lakeshore park has been on the move and adding a few more attractions for guest enjoyment. SCR11.bmp Here we added a new Scrambler to our midway. SCR12.bmp Near the back of the park, Lakeshore Views had been built in order to provide a terrific look at the park from above. SCR13.bmp Two new eateries have been added including this one that let's you eat right on the lake. SCR16.bmp And then across from Lakeshore Views there is another eatery with a gift shop inside as well. SCR17.bmp Across the lake is Woodland Racer about to embark on its journey through its twisted course. Will it have another coaster to share the park with soon? SCR15.bmp Well, it looks like there is a large space with some development and construction going on over here. Could it be a roller coaster? And what kind? SCR18.bmp We'll just have to wait and see. Here is a park overview to end it. Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
  19. Well, it would be the Big Dipper but that isn't running at the moment or ever again, perhaps. So, it would have to be either Waldameer's collection of coasters or Cedar Point's. Not sure which is closer.
  20. For the best overall coaster with a launch, my vote goes for Maverick. It has everything from a launch, airtime, inversions, etc. Other than that, I also really enjoyed Top Thrill Dragster's launch and Rock 'N' Roller Coaster's launch as well. I went on Rock 'N' Roller coaster at a young age, I think it was my first launched coaster. It took my breath away and the overall ride in the dark was fun.
  21. I'd have to go with Intamin for obvious reasons already posted. They push the envelope and have fun, intense rides. My top 10 consists of mostly Intamin with Maverick being my #1.
  22. Looks like it doesn't let up throughout the whole course. Really can't wait for a full POV and maybe a ride on it in the future!
  23. I agree, it would be great to see the area around Blue Streak to get some love. Cedar Point does need some kind of dark ride as well, hopefully we see one of those in the future whether it's something like Toy Story Midway Mania or just a regular classic one like the old Pirate Ride.
