  1. Cedar Point is not letting anyone inside the park as of now from what I've been told. There is a water main break somewhere on the peninsula and they have no running water. So I guess it's a health code violation to have people in the park. But since early entry is already inside, they are letting them stay and not letting anyone else in. I'm inside right now and the entrances are blocked off and no food places are open. People are waiting by the main gate so I'm not sure if they're going to be opening it soon or not.
  2. ^When I went Saturday, there was a building going up as well and if I remember correctly, a few more pieces installed.
  3. Looks like it was a great event! I had a blast at GateKeeper's media day last year and unfortunately I had to cancel last minute on this one. I was very disappointed but I'm hoping to be able to ride Banshee many times in the summer. And it's great to hear all the positive reviews on Banshee. A return to some of the old school B&M forces?! Makes me that much more excited to ride. Thanks for keeping us posted with lots of pictures and updates!
  4. Iron Dragon at Cedar Point
  5. I've been following this coaster closely but haven't really commented in this thread, but all I can say is this thing is gonna be a beast. From the lift hill design to the overbanks, I think this will be a new #1 for many. I cannot wait to ride.
  6. Millennium Force made me grey out between the first drop and over the first overbank.
  7. 1. Cedar Point (1 hour) 2. Kennywood (3 hours) 3. King's Island (4 hours) And used to be Geauga Lake (20min)
  8. Maverick at Cedar Point I plan on making my first.
  9. The best new credit I rode this year would probably either have to be Skyrush, Storm Runner, or Phoenix.
  10. Great TR! I'm hoping to head out to Cali one day and be able to visit these parks and all the southern ones...one day.
  11. Twitter is number one for me followed by Instagram and occasionally Youtube.
  12. Exciting news, I didn't expect one of these coasters to be built so soon, let alone a 500foot one!
  13. This coaster looks AMAZING. Really glad it's a bit closer to me than Outlaw Run is, maybe I'll actually be able to get here next year. Really great addition, no complaints here.
  14. Is there a reason why no inverts have a straight drop instead of a curved sweeping drop? Is it just to make the ride more exciting or something else?
  15. I noticed that too, the break run looked super long. Since there is no MCBR, they probably need a large brake run to use 3 train operation. Just like GateKeeper which has a larger than normal brake run.
  16. This coaster looks absolutely beautiful, love the color scheme and the layout. And I am for sure happy this isn't a wingrider, thank god, we don't need two in Ohio. I think I might actually be more excited about this than I was for GateKeeper, hoping all my expectations for this coaster are granted. Good going King's Island, love it.
  17. Depends on what seat you sit in for me. But, usually when I get on, Blue Streak steadily delivers a crazy, airtime filled ride. Dunno about you.
  18. Looks exciting, really can't wait to see the outcome of it. Hoping for an invert here. I'm really thinking it could be the tallest invert, maybe like 200ft. Not too outrageous.
  19. My last ride was Maverick at Cedar Point.
  20. Seems like a crazy day for amusement park related accidents. Cedar Point and this, thankfully Cedar Point's incident wasn't fatal. Hopefully we find out more about what exactly happened as they investigate further. I won't go into speculation, I will just wait until the professionals have done their job and came out with a full report. My prayers go out to the family of the victim.
  21. Wow, crazy day for amusement park accidents. Can't even imagine how terrifying it would be on a ride flipped over in water and you're pinned inside. Kudos to the people who reacted and helped because if they didn't act quickly, who knows what could've happened.
  22. For me it's the pacing of the ride, forces , fun/unique factor, and comfortability. Is it re-ridable or not? That is the question I usually ask myself at the end.
