  1. I'm... not so sure you've even been on El Toro. My first ride on El Toro i thought the COMPLETE opposite. If El Toro was talking to me at the time, it would say this: "I'm getting tired.. i'm lossing speed, Just after this turn.... NOT! I lied, I'm stonger than ever! HA HA HA HA!" I can't say anything, I mean without being on it, but the POV hasn't proven to me to have the same force at the end. Especially with Voyage having a MCB and all...
  2. SROS at Six Flags New England. It was good.. It's my 2nd favorite coaster, but taht's not saying much with my small count of 77
  3. yuppo, they even let me and Stinks sit in the same row! (BTW they were running it so we got to go around twice)
  4. nope, not a credit whore. Because Miler kiddies = better than SROS So credit whoring would be like.. umm riding SROS?
  5. What??? This is not a "stealth" race. From the promo on the first page, what i got from it, that the.. I think it's a Mitsubishi Endeavor, that the ride is themed to be some sort off off road/rally race. So It kinda helps onlookers who are watching the race..see the cars if they are some color that doesn't match the surroundings. If any of you have played any rally games, NONE of the cars match the surroundings, you don't WANT it to blend in, you want it to stick out, i think those colors are great. As with teh helicopter, it was already explained why. The onlything they could've done better, is make the trains look more like cars. I could see why they didn't want the Rita/Xcearator cars, because they're not driving in the 50s. But i'm sure Intamin could've done something to make them look a bit more Subaru Impreza (I wish) looking.
  6. Hmm and tell me again.. What are those parks? Oh wait, they are resort parks? They attract peopel from ALL OVER the country and even WORLD!? And Six Flags parks are regional parks that attract people from in the state? And all those parks are located in very strategic locations? I.e. BGE just HAPPENS to be rigyht next to a very large torrist attraction and so are ALL the other parks? I'm very unsure about SFDK, i have NO idea where that came from.SFA is the ONLY park i can think of that can use it's place as an advantage. MAYBE SFGAm, but i'm unsure how many people who come to visit Chicago are really looking for something hat is not city life. I personally believe Six Flags should idolize Cedar Point, a regional amusement park that attracts people from all over the world. BG, Disney etc. are not based on the rides it has. If Six Flags wants to be like them, they will need to throw away tons of rides and revamp all of its' current rides to not be so "cheap" looking or be parking-lot coatsers. What i'm tryingt o say is, in order for allthe Six Flags parks to become the parks they want to be, they need to spend millions and get into even MORE debt. ON top of that, they still need to acuire the hardest part, reputation. I have a feeling that the topic of this should get changed....
  7. Your exactly right, SF is in it for the money, why they wised up and stopped catering to teens. Finally realized the average thrill seeking teen doesn't spend any money at their parks, parents and grandparents with fat wallets do. Yeah... I don't know about you, but my parents/friends parents were cheap. We NEVER bought food inside te park we always left and came back, it wasn't until i started going with people in the teens when people actually started being too lazy to go to the BK outside the park, play the arcade games, buy on-ride photos. my personal expirience, this statistic is real BS. Parents may make more money, but teenagers now-a-days have nearly 100% of their money as disposable income. You guys really act as if it's not profitable to have the target market as teenagers. There's ALOT of money to be made from them. And i find it sooo funny how you say grandparents. Screamscape keeps saying grand-parents go to parks. Have you EVER seen more than 3 grandparents at a single park at any time? OF the parks i go to, Hershey would be the most likely in my opinion, and they're not there. And as to grand parents having "fat-wallets"? Umm with all the employees loosing their pensions and not saving up enough for retirement. I seriously doubt that a grand-parent is more willing to spend X amount of dollars on some cheasy souvenir than a Teen. Or fi you're limiting your market to those people who ONLY have a fat wallet and are over the age over way 35. You just serverly decreased your target market. "ohh people with fat wallets, that the kind we want.. so then they will pay 19 dollars for a pan a pizza... and maybe a souvenir" Just because they spend more doesn't meanyou make less more. You still need the quantity. I'm sorry but Six Flags is trying to get a new target market that isn't worth it and will take ALOT of years to get the reputation it wants. (for the second year i a row, i feel Six Flags has gotten WORSE). Six Flags currently has a niche, in teens to young adults. They should be trying to find new strategies to make more money off of them, instead of what they're doing now. I'm sorry for this rant, T-shirts = good profit And as for not selling coaster shirts because they aren't "family" enough. I don't know about you, but coaster shirts to many people, are the shirts people buy, and only wear when their doing something that could ruin the shirt. But i have also seen MANY Hulk and Dueling Dragons shirts worn around my area.
  8. ^ Because that's exactly what all the teenagers going to Six Flags parks want to wear... Wiggles World shirts. Ugh, I thought Six Flags was in it for the money, but the ONE thing i want to buy.. is gone. And I will not change my wardrobe style, everyone knows me when they see a coaster shirt.
  9. Maybe if the glass actually broke i'd pay that much. But the combined total of the box and the deck... Is too much money. Or maybe if they made the glass box like a "robocoaster" That would be fun.. trying not to get hurt.
  10. This year I have been to Six Flags America for the first time, and they had 0 coaster shirts. No Batwing shirts, NO Superman: Ride of Steel shirts, so i figured, whaever. I went to Great Adventure this year, my home park. All they have are the Kingda Ka shirts no one buys(i.e. I see no one wearing them) and what feels like left over El Toro shirts. Why is Six Flags doing this? All they seem to offer now are generic shirts you can find at each park with the park name changed. How can I get coaster shirts? Is tehre any hidden store somewhere that still offers them? I asked multiple Six Flags America employees and they all said they don't have it, or pointed me to a different store. I already have a shirt for nearly all the coasters at Great Adventure (including Viper) but I'm planning a trip to Six Flags New England and I don't want to buy another "Let's Get Loopy" T-shirt because it's the only "ok" T-shirt they have. Can anybody shed some light on this??
  11. This is nothing off to me, I've never been on a rough Vekoma.. and yes.. i have ridden Vekomas before.. 2 boomerangs, 2 SLCs, 1 invertigo, and one kiddy. None of them were rough, I don't think the trains really did it, Ithink you just came around to abandoning the stereotype that Vekomas are rough.
  12. !!!!! Dude! You were on that train too!!!!??????!!??! I was front seat of that!.. I had on the Storm Runner shirt!.. I was the loud one complaining about my rolls.. There was actually airtime on the.. umm.. not rolls.. and i remember like..complaining about it on the launch track in revrse.. then 3 seconds after we stopped i was like "we're not in the station... hmmmm??" It was also the first time i was able to talk to girls without getting nervous.. They were in the exit tunnel and was like "what happened?" and i just talked to them. To be inthe most comfortable place in my life, I felt soo safe, that.. talking to girls was like.. nice. I wish i wasn't such a prude. And that is almost my most memorable.. or maybe my "rice" expirience with Stinks A.k.a. James A.K.A. Canobiefan
  13. Alot, Mostly i guess... Gear of War...frag-tag achievement working on GRAW: 8th level DeadRising.. umm Just beat the 2nd psychopath Final Fantasy 5.. that part where you have to cross the desert with the sand snake things Metroid Prime 2: Agon Wastes Paper Mario level 1 of 1 Super MArio Sunshine.. 26th shine GTA Vice City Stories the art where i have to pick up my brother from the airport, just can't beatthat mission!
  14. ^^ Aren't the right and left arrows supposed to be red? And yeah, I used to paly DDR, I was "best in my school" according to many people back in my High School Days.. I might come backto playing it with the XBOX360 version out now.. all those achievement points just waiting to be...achieved...
  15. My Gamertag: Dusa Anyone up for some Gears of War?
  16. Viper: Sfgadv Hercules: DP Superman: Ultimate Escape:SFO (because i don't want me list to look so sad, and it IS kinda getting removed.. no one actually KNOWS it's going to DP)
  17. Viper: SFgadv Reason: It was the coaster that made me a coaster enthusiast! If it wasn't for Viper, I would probaby be like... playing Gears of War right now.
  18. haven't been to many but here's hwo i rate those i have been to 1. Cedar Point 2. Hershey Park 3. Six Flags America 4. Dorney Park 5. Six Flags Great Adventure 6. Six Flags Ohio (oh yeah) 7. Keansburg Amusement Park 8. Disney World ( i was young and didn't do anything) 9. Busch Gardens Williamsburg(same reason) 10. Epcot
  19. I know we're all really into coasters and everything but can we try and act normal once in a while? I meant the actual speed, and sicne the coaster engineers don't use the English system, that maybe they just rounded to whatever they felt like. As for the above statement, He was about to punch me... And probably would've if i had on my other Millennium Force shirt that says it goes 92mph. In conclusion, Does everyone agree with what was stated above, That it was thought to be 92, but now after tests it was 93? But if it was just to compete with Steel Dragon.. is it REALLY 93? or did they just get away with it by rounding so it would be i guess closer to teh speed of Steel Dragon 2k
  20. This seems like the easiest question, but what exactly IS Millennium Force's top speed, and why can't cedar Point even stick with a number. On my MF t-shirts it says that it is 92 Miles per hour top speed, on the website it says 92 miles per hour, but on the same website it also says it goes 93, and on RCDB it says 93mph. So here's the list of conflicts Says 92 mph: Promo Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJGiaFpBdpQ one shirt: http://www.angelfire.com/biz6/rrrage/IMGA0112.JPG website "Speed 92 mph (approximately)" Says 93: One t-shirt: http://www.cfmarketplaces.com/stores/stores/1/images/16579image.jpg website: "his colossal coaster looms an incredible 310 feet above the ground and reaches a top speed of 93 mph!" rcdb: http://www.rcdb.com/id594.htm Can someone PLEASE clarify at least WHY it says two different speeds. Or clarify that maybe in metric, it's really 92.49 maybe? This has been bugging me since practiclly the day it opened, i even almost got into a fight at gadv regarding the speed of Millennium Force. -Thank you to whomever replies P.S. I did search for this, and i wasn't able to find it, if this is a repeat, I'm sorry
  21. Is it just me, or are Vekomas actually really smooth?i went on Two-Face, and Mind Eraser opening day, and I thought "Hey, Vekomas are actually pretty smooth" can you define "rough"? or define "owch" Where does it hurt.. SERIOUSLY! Two Face was as smooth as a B&M and Mind Eraser only had one spot that I guess you can say was rough. And ggrrr you.. SROS was closed opening day, I really wanted to go on it. And Joker's Jinx was testing opening day.... and now the trains are.. off the track..wonder why
  22. Previous management.. the Gary Story? one. Yeah. Well. I'm from new Jersey.. so getting Kingda Ka.. and it's very nicely themed section, then a year later with El Toro and yet another nice section which includes National Park.. Then having new management come in and take away soem of my favorite rides all the while being like "we aren't focusing on teh children.. so we're going to add yet ANOTHER unneeded kids section.. and screwing the only reason i got there part. Last year had to be the WORST year i've ever gone to Great Adventure. And I believe the same management made Geuga Lake into Six Flags Ohio? now THAT was a great park.. and WAS a great park. I feel that the new management is too focused on "families" that they really didn't tae advantage of the fact they had El Toro build. I saw VERY little advertising for one of the best wooden coasters ever. That management may have screwed over other parks. But i was getting treated VERY well. And well, the other years ... Great Adventure wasn't getting spoiled.. it was getting average new rides... That's my reasoning even though i'm sure 99% of you would disagree.
  23. Ok here... Give chiller back my rolls Make Kingda Ka 462 feet for a better chance i can get a rollback.. while it coudl still possibly make it over. Remove Mean streak's brake Does rebuilding Hercules count as a modification? De-modify Steel Phantom Put Shockwave's trains on GASm's track Modify every roller coaster to have me as a previous rider Make Flashback(SFMM) to have floorless trains.. cause that would be wicked cool paint Kraken pink, purple and black Remove the canyon wall from SKC replace Roller soaker's water with mercury... Put Superman Ultimo Escape at Geauga Lake where it belongs.. yeah i remember that "rumor" Modify Wildcat at keansburg to have an "approved" for operation sticker. Put massive trims on every coaster that's "better" than El Toro. (except what's previously stated.. because those will never be better than El Toro) Put more trees that are "hittable" around Medusa(sfgadv).. I can only hit 4. Put wheel covers back on BTR (sfgam) V2/steel venom/wicked twister Raise hieght limit for all kiddy coasters put a giant Dome around Katun with special effects inside Put X-Flight back Make Beast a "parkinglot coaster" Change Millennium Force's builder from Intamin to Togo My ideas are so great!!! Don't ya think?
  24. I love that support right there.. How it just injects itself to the SIDE of B&M track. It is just so awkward to me that i love it. Also, i don't know the policy on pictures. So i just used MLA format to cite it. Is that alright? Owner of Coaster image. 2002. Coasterimage.com, 17 January 2007 . http://p2.rcdb.com/picmax/dorney-park/talon10.jpg
  25. different markets Yeah.. but see.. it's DOUBLE the price. It does the same thing my season pass does... I never hated Six Flags until New Managment.. But well, the reason i'm typing thsi post is that. Cedar Fair... same price..all around. If it's not the SAME price it's within 10 dollars. Why the... should i have to pay nearly $50 more than someone who gets the same benefits?
