  1. They're obviously trying to trick the general public. Which of course is a good thing
  2. Great. Now we'll have two good wooden coasters in the world named El Toro
  3. I chose B&M. My #1 is a B&M, #2 and #3 are Intamins, and the rest is a lot of B&M's. Intamin's give you that scary, freaky, outta control ride, and that rush after. Most of the time that's what you want on a roller coaster, but I chose B&M. My reason would be that, B&M's are just much more nice and peaceful and fun, while on Intamin's you're so scared and freaked out, you can't even think on it. Sure, after it's great, but I like B&M's more. For Example, Tatsu, Riddler's, Silver Bullet, Medusa, and Scream, are just plain fun. Loop after loop, hang-time, long "in length", twists, turns, ect. Intamin's like, V2 or Xcelerator are super quick, dizzying, and freaky. Now, I LOVE that feeling, but I just think that B&M's give a better ride overall.
  4. My first ride on Viper was in June, and it was great. Since then, I've ridden it several times and it's been good everytime (but lately it's been great!) I don't know about the roughness, there's a lot of rides other people say are rough and unenjoyable that I like, so people may disagree with me on Viper's smoothness, but I don't notice the roughness. I've also been on other Arrow rides that I found rough (Canyon Blaster, Desperado, Demon, etc.) and Viper doesn't even come close to them.
  5. I have a question. On SFMM's website, it says the park closes at 8:00, but Nighttime ERT doesn't start until 8:30. What will be going on in that 30 minutes? Also, is there any idea how much "free time" there will be at the park? Like time without ERT and tours, just doing whatever.
  6. Never been to either, but Camden park has always looked interesting. Unfortunately after reading the PTR's about it in the Park Index, I've lost interest in the park.
  7. Yes! Finally, those awesome B&M Hyper trains everyone knows and loves!
  8. ^Hmm, in that picture and a few of the others, it looks a lot like a "regular" GCI (not that it's bad to be a regular GCI or anything ). I was just thinking it'd be more spread out and hidden. It's probably just that one part of the ride. Hopefully the rest will be more "unknown".
  9. Pretty much all of MM's coasters are great and worth riding IMO. - X2. It's a 4D coaster, blah blah blah, and the best. - Tatsu. Such a fun coaster. It's amazing. THe pretzel loop, the other inversions, the position it puts you in...all a great ride. - Goliath. Another very fun coaster, not too thrilling IMO but still fast with a great helix and some floater air. - Riddler's Revenge. The loops are great, the position is great, and the hang-time is great. Sit in the front! - Scream. Used to be a decent coaster, now it just sucks. I hate it. It always makes me dizzy, it's a little rough, you slam on the brakes, the inversions are horrible...I guessyou could skip this one if you wouldn't to. - Viper. A very nice ride. It has great speed, a great first drop, some air-time coming up to the MCBR, and awesome hang-time in the second half. - Batman: The Ride. I actually don't like this one much either, it makes me really sick and dizzy, but it's still a great ride it is worth riding. - Deja Vu. A very cool ride/experience. You have to ride this one! - Superman: The Escape. Boring, can be skipped. - Colossus. It's no big deal. Not very fun, not that rough, it's just kinda...there. Can be skipped. - Terminator (new coaster). I have no idea but it looks great. - Ninja. A pretty cool ride and probably one of the most fun coasters in the world...or country...or California...okay SFMM. - Revolution. A nice little ride, I enjoy it. It can be skipped though. - Gold Rusher. I also enjoy this one but I guess it can be skipped. - Canyone Blaster. Kiddie coaster.
  10. Those are some great pictures! The one of Maverick's air-time hill in the sunset is amazing.
  11. Going up faster and faster each week, and looking great! And the entrance is going to fit perfectly right there.
  12. That sounds pretty bad, but I think opening days are usually pretty dull (at least the ones I've been to are). I went to CGA opening day for 2008, Flight Deck was closed, everything was dead, no excitement, no fun, no nothing. When I went back in July it was a pretty big difference. Same thing with Gilroy Gardens. So I can see how Thorpe Park was bad...but I don't know about that bad, that's just horrible.
  13. I don't know if this has already been mentioned or not, and I'm sorry if it has, but does anyone know when they fill the lake back up? I really like the lake and without it, the whole boardwalk doesn't feel like a boardwalk. I'm planning on going in March...but from looking at the pictures, I have a feeling it won't be filled back up by then. Also, the construction on the lake/ferris wheel etc. won't affect California Screamin', will it? (I'm sure it won't since I've seen several trip reports of the construction and it has been open, but just checking).
  14. That looks like...I don't know "odd" track, like the train will go through it "awkwardly". The POV looks very odd and weird, it left me really confused of what the track would be like. Whatever it will be like though, it will be different and I hope it turns out a lot better than they're making it sound.
  15. That sounds like a really nice park, too bad it closed. Now Australia is left with even less parks
  16. Yeah I know, trust me I've looked at more trip reports on there than anyone. I just thought this could be a good topic, I already know what rides the parks have, and when they operate, etc. This is more of an avice thread I guess than a "What does the park look like?" or "What rides does it have?" thread. I don't know, maybe it was kinda pointless...but it was worth a shot. And maybe unknown wasn't the right word, I just meant "small" or "not big". Like you wouldn't be asking about CP in here.
  17. I did a search for a topic like this and got nothing, so...here it is! This thread can go in a lot of different ways, but basically it's all about "little" parks. Which small parks have you been to, which small parks do you want to go to, is there any information about the small parks you've been to, or do you need information on a small park you're going to soon. I guess this could be a little like an "advice" thread because you'd be giving advice about a small park or asking for advice about a small park. For me, I've been to a ton of small parks because I like to just get the little credits they have. Some of these may not be small parks IYO, but if they're not owned by a major company, I'll list them. Small parks I've been to: Castle Amusement Park, Scandia Amusement Park, Adventure City, Pacific Park, Belmont Park, Gilroy Gardens, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and, I guess I'll just put Lagoon here. If you need any information on these parks, I'm sure I can give it. Now, I'm interested in tons of other small parks across the country but I'll just ones I might go to in the next couple years, and any information on these parks would be great. Small Parks I want to go to or might go to soon: Castles n' Coasters, Cliff's Amusement Park, Wonderland Amusement Park, Joyland Amusement Park, Frontier City, Waldameer, Idelwild, Lakemont, and Coney Island (Cincinnati's).
  18. I don't know why, but for some reason the track didn't look nice and smooth or anything at all! It looks kinda... rough...er I don't know the right word for it, but just kinda sudden. It reminds me of an RCT3 ride. I can't wait to see it testing, then I'll see if the train just glides on the track smooth or shakes on it roughly. I'm sure it'll be smooth though. But the layout looks good. It's definately unique which is great. I'm still a little mad that there's a MCBR but whatever. The second half of the ride also looks a bit lame. And I still can't really tell how the train is going to splash or whatever in the lake. Wow, a lot of negatives! Poor Manta I'm sorry
  19. It is a pretty old and gross bathroom. I could see it being taken out, but then again with a new ride in the area, the section will be more popular and need one. It is the only one in the area, I think the next closest one is...uh, far. Very far away.
  20. Oh I also like how you can see Ninja on the SFMM map. Tatsu used to completely block it out.
  21. Wow these look great and definately a lot better. It'll definately make it a lot easier for the General Public to get around...wait, that's not good! Oh well. And of course SF has to do this right when I hang one up on my wall...
  22. 1. Disney rides... ... ... ... Far far far below... ... ... ... Probably Batman: The Ride @ SFMM. It has a nice line and station. Very good for a SF park.
  23. Ha, yeah. I know, Top 10's CAN be hard! Especially when you've ridden over 300 coasters
  24. ^Wait, I don't get it. You have Ghostrider 5th on your woodie list, and 10th on your overall list. But then that skips Raven...?
  25. Wow, I'm pretty surprised, looking at the results. Even with as many Coaster enthusiasts there are on the East coast, I really thought TPR would have more on the West. TPR seems to be one of the very few coaster sites that have a lot of West Coast members, but also a ton of members from other places making it just that much better
