  1. I can definately say the place is...colorful.
  2. This thread was made for me. I get horrible motion sickness. I can't ride a lot of rides back-to-back, I get dizzy after most coasters, I can't really ride anything that spins, and I don't do well with coasters that go backwards either (but this doesn't mean I don't ride anyway ). I take bonine (motion sickness medicine) before I go on long drives and to amusement parks. So far, it has seemed to work pretty well (I've only been taking it a little while) but I'll really know if it works or not at West Coast Bash Funny stories of people throwing up at parks: I can't tell you since I'm too busy throwing up myself.
  3. Friday was Friday the 13th...so that's why that happened...
  4. I'm out of school for the whole month of March
  5. No I hate pie. Do you have an automatic stapler? EDIT: You beat me. I am not sure about that one. Do you have an automatic stapler?
  6. Great pictures! Cedar Point really is completely surrounded by water...and the ride overview shots on Maverick, MF, Raptor, and Mantis are really cool.
  7. Xcelerator @ KBF. When I went, the only rides I had not ridden were Pony Express (broke down the last time I went) Ghostrider (was closed the last time I went) and Xcelerator (wouldn't walk near it the last time I went). (This visit was also in July 08' and the last time I had went was a month before in June). I was really scared for it and was freaking out days before and the whole day inside the park. When I first got there I thought it might have been closed () because it wasn't running, but unfortunately, it wasn't and I would have to ride it (I was forcing myself). I was also with my friend's, and they really wanted to ride it, but they didn't care when so I kept putting it off until later in the day. Finally, I forced myself in the line. I was shaking, watching the launch go by and the people's faces just becoming blurs. After about 20 minutes which seemed a lot longer, I was about to be next. I wanted to sit in the back since that's where I figured the launch would be the least intense, but my friend's wanted to sit in the front, so I talked them into the second row. When we were about 2 people away, it broke down. People were leaving and leaving, but we stayed. Eventually we were almost the only one's in the station and the ride operator's had no idea when it would be fixed or if it would be fixed. So finally I left with 2 of my friend's while the other for some reason stayed. We went to Pony Express but it had a really long line (we got the credit later, don't worry) so we went back over to Xcelerator and found my friend who waited at the Coaster's Drive In Restaurant. He told us he waited long enough to the point where the operator's told him and anyone else still waiting in the line that they could come back before closing, skip the line, and ride it. They were all excited and I was glad that I would ride it and get it out of the way, but I was also still scared of it and even more scared we'd have to ride it at night. We ate at the Coaster's Drive In and then 2 of my friend's decided they were going to ride Supreme Scream. In case you didn't know, you pass Xcelerator's exit on the way to Supreme Scream, and for some reason they suddenly ran in it. My other friend and I followed them and within a minute, we were all pulling down Xcelerator's lap bar and waiting to launch. It had all happened so fast which almost was a good thing since I didn't have time to think about it and get more scared, and here's when the best ride moment happened. The train was slowly moving back, and my friend's were getting scared (which surprised me since they had acted so cool about the ride before) but I just kept my eyes on the lights slowly moving to green. 3 red 2 red 1 red 0 green. And we launched. That launch was soooo intense and cool, and the rest of the ride was just awesome. The top hat filled with air-time, the smooth overbanked turns, and the brakes letting you catch your breath. Xcelerator is my #3 roller coaster, the scariest coaster I've been on, and it still holds the best ride moment I've ever had.
  8. It kinda blends in with the black backround, but I like it. I say keep it!
  9. Maybe backwards Mindbender should count as another credit Since it is a...different ride a experience.
  10. I'm almost glad the mickey ears are gone since there's another mickey face going on the ferris wheel right accross the park. Just thought that'd look odd
  11. This coaster has really surprised me. Every time I saw more pictures and more of the ride being built it has looked better and better, and now after seeing these animation videos of the complete layout and ride, it looks amazing. Everything about it, the elements, the pacing, the speed, it has a ton all in one ride. This will be a great ride for Europa Park.
  12. I'm still drooling over the turn (s) going through the buildings. And it's cool how you see the coaster there at the end of the midway. Oh yeah, and the non-inverting loop looks nice too
  13. Manhattan Express's dive loop.
  14. I think it would be fine. I have a friend that has claustrophobia and he's completely fine on Space Mountain (CA). Not sure about RM, but I can't see how it'd be much different or worse.
  15. Do they even make old flume rides anymore?
  16. A pretty old Disneyland and California Adventure Park Map from I don't know when. Knott's Berry Farm Map and Fun Guide from 2004. A Universal Studios Hollywood Brochure from around 2004--2006. A Six Flags Magic Mountain brochure from about 2005. Legoland California Park Map from about 2004ish. Disney's California Adventure Park Map from about 2004-2006. I also have some really old ones of The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands Of Adventure that I can't find. I'm willing to trade the bold ones. I know, not a lot but I'll hopefully get more this year.
  17. Yeah but I think if the GP knows they won't be going upside down and they're scared of inversions, they'll ride it.
  18. Unless I lived in GTiTS's neighborhood, I wouldn't go there without Cliffhanger.
  19. I've always noticed this small little unknown park that never got any attention or was talked about. Sadly, it'll probably be talked about now more than ever.
  20. These trains look really cool, but Vekoma has had so many ideas in the past that were just pretty much forgotrtten about, so it makes me wonder if any of these trains will be put on coaster tracks. I definately do think some will, since they already tried new SLC trains and are currently trying out new Boomerang trains. Both I'd say are successful. But will Vekoma just replace some trains on some of their types of coasters for these trains, or make new tracks/ride designs or what, because some of those new trains can't even really fit on some of their current designs. For example the 4 seated Inverted trains.
  21. Whoever buys the park, I hope it's not the 49ers because I really do not want to see this park close no matter how good it would be for other CF parks and CF. Unfortunately I can't think of another buyer for the park in this economy especially for a park like CGA.
  22. That was quick. One day it's doing fine, next day it's possible that it may get sold, next day it's sold, hmm...wonder what's going to happen tomorrow
  23. Yep, all except the fastest one (IMO) but this one looks great. The theming looks good and the ride looks really fun.
  24. Psyclone @ SFMM - I only went to SFMM once while it was still up and I was too scared to ride it. Old Space Mountain @ Disneyland - Too scared. Tony Hawk's Big Spin @ SFDK - Thought it spun too much, didn't want to take a chance and ride it. Spider @ Lagoon - Closed, probably wouldn't have ridden it anyway. Percy's Engine @ SFMM - Too tall. Flying Unicorn @ IOA - I don't even think I saw it, but if I did I probably wouldn't have ridden it (scared). Hulk @ IOA - Too small. Dueling Dragons @ IOA - Too small. Mummy @ USO - Wasn't built yet. Woody's Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster @ USO - Same situation as Flying Unicorn. All WDW (only Magic Kingdom) coasters - Too scared. My coaster-count could be a lot higher
