  1. Yeah, those pictures were taken from the Sky Tower T.V. Then there's the on-ride shot of Ninja...that was taken on the lift hill. I will remove that one. EDIT: I guess it has already been removed.
  2. Another picture of Viper's lift hill, since it just won't shut up. Tatsu time! Flip. Front flip. Lift. Kind of a corkscrew...thing. Turn. Coming up... Coming up... Why did Tatsu remove all but one of the cars to one of the trains? Fun fun fun. Happy happy happy (HEY, WHERE'D MY CAR KEYS GO!?!?). You know, you could have told me the ride did this, before I went on! This is when everyone finally feels safe enough to put their arms out. Drop (I think...). Arrow time! Okay that's enough of Arrow time, here's Terminator. Yep, that's all it was. B&M Land. Intamin. Party of 1. Whoa. Cool. Awesome. Sweet. Yuck. Another shot of Goliath. The corner of everything. Eggs in the morning. Eggs at sunset. Theeeend.
  3. Here's a semi-old PTR from SFMM in November. Just thought I'd post it since it's kind of interesting to see how Terminator was back then (in all two photo's I took of it). Oh hey X2 Un-Superman: The Slow Escape. Here's a very Tatsu-ish picture. Scream (!) Not-so Colossus. Another picture of Tatsu Tatsu-ing. Valencia Falls! First ride of the day since someone coughrevolutioncough was closed. Wow, a picture of The Sky Tower without Tatsu in it. Viper's loud Arrow Lift hill (okay, we hear you!). I was going to try to get a picture of each rides name...but I forgot on most of them. Scream: Barf out loud! Scream: Invert till you vomit! Non-Arrow Corkscrews. A semi-corkscrew, but still not an arrow Yeah, I got the whole name to fit. Goliath feet. Brakes. A weird-ish angle of Superman. Goliath...something. Another Goliath Thing. And another. And one more.
  4. There's a lot of routes you could take. You could: Fly to California Go to Knott's. Go to SFMM. Drive to Northern California and hit Gilroy Gardens. Go to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and CGA (they can both be done in a day). Go to SFDK. Fly home. Or you could do the same thing, just the other way around, depending on where you're flying in/flying out.
  5. Ninja has a 42 inch height requirement and attracts a lot of kids. It is a nice little intense ride, but I still think it could pass for a moderate family coaster. Revolution can also be added IMO, with it's low thrill-level and moderate layout. Besides these (and Percy, Canyon Blaster, and Gold Rusher of course), SFMM has nothing coaster-related for kids and families. A new family coaster is needed badly.
  6. Hot. Hot enough to go swimming at 8am.
  7. Revolution @ SFMM. A great ride to get you okay/not scared of inversions. Although that loop does have some nice force.
  8. I'm not too crazy about those supports (don't know if it's just me or what) but the actual track looks very nice. It's putting a Maverick-style ride to extreme. Putting everything into it, and just looking at all those Intamin-extreme twist and turns is hard, knowing that you (me) won't be able to ride it soon.
  9. - Carolina Cobra.. - Nighthawk... - Hurler (both).... - Fairly Odd Coaster (all of them)..... Hmmm, all Carowinds...
  10. I'm glad this place is staying. I was trying to go here last year, but now that it's staying, why rush? Do you think it's worth going to?
  11. I thought if you are over 56", you can't ride that coaster unless you run to it first thing when the park opens and even there there is a chance you might get denied? I don't think so...I remember I rode it a long long time ago and my parents rode it with me...but then again that was a long long time ago.
  12. Nice PTR. Too bad you couldn't ride both Dueling Dragons, and why no kiddie suspended coaster credit???
  13. Haha yeah I saw us, but you were hidden somewhere (I think). Scream was pretty cool in the front. I'm glad we waited and I finally got a decent ride on it.
  14. Where were you guys at night-time ERT? I didn't see you.
  15. Thelegendarymatthew: Too late, youtube sucks Atem122: That's weird, where could you have found one of these before? They're very rare, only 4 at the moment on the internet. These PTR's/TR's will be coming to a roller coaster site near you soon, don't worry.
  16. I'm cool with it, that's pretty much what this thread is for. That, and "Nice pictures!"
  17. Brigitta Cat: The park was in usual condition. I'm sure you know what I mean by that. And I agree that the minigolf course is better than Scandia's, but I've never been to Pharoh's (is it good?). Thelegendarymatthew: Haha, thanks
  18. This is a good idea, and I've had this happen a few times to me also. Going to post on a thread and not remembering if I'd posted on it or not. Luckily, I haven't been here too long so I only have to go back a couple pages for certain threads and I find my post, but I can see this becoming a problem after a long time with a lot of posts.
  19. I haven't been to many, but... - California (live here, always have). - Nevada (Las Vegas, go here a lot, family). - Arizona (driving to Utah). - Utah (went for Lagoon, yes, drove from California to Utah, for Lagoon). - Missouri (plane stop on the way to Florida). - Florida (family and amusement parks). I've also been to Northern California several times...if that counts.
  20. Looks awesome. 4 air-time hills in a row has to be pretty sweet
  21. Unfortunately this is just a TR and not a PTR, because I forgot my camera battery at home Too bad because we got some pretty cool angles of some coasters that would make for great pictures. The rest of the day: I got there at about 7:15. Not too many people were here yet, so we (my friend and I) just waited and waited. Eventually a lot of people started showing up and a little before morning ERT started, there was a big "speech" about morning ERT and a few other things. They announced that as a surprise, there would be morning ERT on Revolution, X2, Viper, Tatsu, Ninja, Superman, Deja Vu, and Goliath. Unfortunately because of rain (which was happening right now) Ninja, Superman, and Deja Vu were taken off the list Even though I figured everyone would run to X2 first, my friend and I did anyway. Surprisingly, we got there before a lot of people and were on the the second train (I think) of the day. This was my first ride on X2, and it was pretty cool. It's my new #1 coaster (which doesn't say much) but it just didn't seem as good as everyone had said. It was so...tame, and un-intense. That could have just been from watching several POV's and reading several reviews, but I just knew when everything was coming, and when it came, it wasn't like "WHOA!" but more like "oh". Don't get me wrong (and this may be confusing) but I DO like the ride, and ERT on it was great. So the ride was over, and the whole train (including us) were waiting there, still laying back in the "X2 position". The ride had broken down, and we stayed there for probably 10-15 minutes. Finally we got off, and I'm just glad we made it on the ride unlike a lot of other people still waiting in line for it. Once we got off, we rode Viper. Viper has been really really good lately (and it always was good) but today I think it just went back to its "average goodness" if that makes any sense. After Viper, it was Tatsu time, and twice in a row. Before the event, Tatsu was #1 roller coaster. Now? #4. It isn't that good. It makes me very dizzy, sick, and I don't see the fun anymore in just staring at the ground. We still had a little bit of ERT time left before our Terminator tour, so we quickly went to X2 for another ride. We had to wait a little, but still not bad. We got on and off (still a nice ride) and had to run to the Terminator tour with no time to spare. The tour was pretty good. They told us a lot about the ride, but it was just everything I already knew. You basically listened to everything you've heard, or your GP friends are falling asleep. The views of it were great, seeing it from unknown angles. It was just hard to look at it and not have my camera When they gave you the choice to stay or leave, we left (as did a lot of other people). My friend went on Deja Vu (open!) while I sat down. When he got off we had a little bit of time before Lunch, so we rode Riddler's Revenge. I think Riddler's Revenge will also be going down on my list. I just don't think too much is special about the ride. Still a Top 10, but not a Top 5 like it used to be. Once again, we had to run to Lunch with about no time to spare. We got there, my friend ate (not me, it was chicken) and then we pretty much left lunch. I think it was Goliath time now, and we rode it twice in a row. Goliath has to move up to the 2-3 spot (Xcelerator is its competition) because it is just an amazing ride. Nothing about it is too thrilling, so it's just fun, and most importantly, no matter how many times I ride it, it does not make me sick. After Goliath we rode Scream. Scream has gotten worse and worse, but maybe (just maybe) it's getting a little better now. My ride was no big deal, but better than others I've gotten on it. I think we headed over to X2 now but it was closed because of wind, so we rode Viper instead. I think we rode Revolution around this time too (it was running pretty good). Next we took the Orient Express up to the mountain to ride Ninja, rode it (very un-intense today, even in the back) and went back down the mountain. We were pretty tired about now so I think we relaxed and Jonny Rockets for a bit. Then we went back over to Goliath and Scream and gave them another ride. We waited for the front row on Scream and it was pretty good and very intense. It was almost 4:00 now (presentation and Magic Moments Theatre) so we stayed there. When it was time, we (and EVERYONE else at WCB) went in. There was a lot of Q&A with Park Management and a few other cool things they told us/answered. A few things: - Metro (the monorail) will never re-open. - Batman: The Ride may get its mist back soon. - Revolution will never remove its OTSR's but they may be improved. - Batman: The Ride is their most reliable coaster. - The new show replacing Batman's will be a BMX show. And there were several more that I can't remember off the top of my head right now. When everything about the park was over, Mr. Six came running onto the stage dancing, gave management an envelope, and left. The envelope announced ERT on: - Batman: The Ride - Canyon Blaster - Colossus - Deja Vu - Gold Rusher - Goliath - Ninja - Revolution - Riddler's Revenge - Scream! - Superman The Escape (which was closed right now and everything before this). - Tatsu - Viper and... X2 (NOT!) < more on that later. If you can't count, that's 14 coasters for ERT, which breaks a record. They also said each coaster would be run in the dark with no lights, but I didn't even notice it (were any lights off?). Once everything was over in the Theatre, we left and on our way out we (and everyone else) got to take their own piece of Terminator wood which I have sitting next to me right now We went for Scream (aaagain) and then to Superman (LEFT SIDE!) to finally get the last credit (besides Percy) that I am missing from SFMM. Had to wait about 10-15 minutes but finally got on. Same old Superman. Now we went back over to X2 but it was still closed. We walked all the way around the park looking for something good to eat and we just ended up eating at Food Etc. Once "dinner time" was over, it was time for to ride everything, AT NIGHT. It was now dark out and 7:30. ERT wasn't supposed to start until an hour later but it ended up starting now (for me at least) because most of the GP was GONE. Batman: The Ride was first and great! We pretty much had the whole train to ourselves and could have ridden it more and more but we knew that wouldn't be a good idea. We went back over to Goliath for two more nightrides there, and then back to the front of the park to find X2 still closed. We went in line for Tatsu but that also broke down, so we went back over to the back of the park and rode Deja Vu. Deja Vu is great at night. Very cool and dizzying. I don't think it's a Top 10 type ride but something about it is just...interesting/fun to ride. After that we headed over to Riddler's Revenge at night which was decent, and then back to Batman which was again, pretty sweet. BACK to the front of the park by X2 to see that it would not open for the rest of night. SFMM had even said in the MM Theatre that they would keep it open past ERT to even LATER in the night, but I guess that wouldn't be happening now. Tatsu was still broken down, but we decided to wait for it to open. Luckily, it only took a couple minutes for people to ride and we were on the second train for people to ride after it had broken down. We still had about 30 minutes of ERT left but there was really nothing else to ride except Ninja at night which I've wanted to do for a while. It was a little better than during the day but still just "okay". I don't think anyone except us and maybe 100 other people stayed this far into nighttime ERT because it was dead. Walking on pathways and coasters with literally no one else there. As much fun as that sounds, everything just sort of died and we agreed that it was time to leave. This was such an awesome event and Morning ERT was probably one of (if not) the best moments I've had at a park. The Q&A at the MMT was great too, as well as getting two new credits bringing my count to 75 I can't wait to go back next year for (hopefully) ERT on Terminator, both ERT sessions of it for X2, and all the other non-riding surprises they had for us. My ride-count: Batman: The Ride x2 Deja Vu x1 Goliath x5 Ninja x2 Revolution x1 Riddler's Revenge x2 Scream! x3 Superman: The Escape x1 Tatsu x3 Viper x2 X2 x2 Another fun thing about WCB was meeting up with some people on here and finding the rare-Big Mike and getting my picture with him (didn't win )
  22. ^That's odd, I went to Superman a little after the Q&A in the MMT and didn't have to wait too long. Operations were normal and the line was about 20 minutes, but moving. Good thing I got there early.
  23. Riddler's Revenge has a pretty loud roar, but Superman: The Escape kills it for being the loudest coaster.
  24. I don't know what to say, I guess we'll just have to see in the future.
