I'd only go with the plaid if its a party for the new OutKast video. Otherwise go with the light blue.

Wow, and here I thought I'd be able to get away with "Donde esta El Power Park?" Back to Pier One for me. (or is it square one?)

Family Guy Cheats us out of a season finale
DerekRx replied to Florida420's topic in Random, Random, Random
I haven't seen the Movie yet, and probably won't catch the last episode this season anyway due to usually traveling back home on a Sunday night when its on so it doesn't really bother me. But yeah, its pretty retarded that they cheesed out for the finale this season. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
DerekRx replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it would make perfect sense for them to add a coaster/flume hybrid after taking out both log flumes. It raises their coaster count, and still lets them have a flume. Until we actually see the design of this so-called Aqua Trax though, we really can't say how lame it could be. I'd be quite pleased if it was one of these, that way I don't have to go to Korea to ride one, and get trampled in the process! Maybe they won't build it extreme, but Cedar Point should be more family oriented instead of having everything be either too kiddie or too extreme. -

Wow, what an evil looking ride. I bet if it didn't have those OTSRs though it wouldn't be so evil. Why does every company think every ride needs them, or for the ones that do, why can't they design better ones that don't box your ears in so much! -

Cool photos. I never realized the kiddie coaster had such stupid plexiglass walls. I guess that's why it took so long for it to open last season, I don't remember them being there when I went last May. Glad you had a good day, despite your James-like friend. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
DerekRx replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Kinda sad, but the last coaster I rode was Little Eagle at the Pavilion in Myrtle Beach. -

I will definitely pick this game up once I finally go out and get a DS, which won't be until the new model is available. Until then, I'm content playing SMB3 on my phone.

A DAY AT SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE
DerekRx replied to Lenaapple1974's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, El Toro sure is coming along. I can't wait to ride that, if the thing is ever actually finished. Hopefully it will be opened within the month. Nice pictures, hopefully you'll be brave enough to tackle the ET when it does finally open. -
What Should My Brother Ride Next?
DerekRx replied to jamesissoocool's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It'd also help if you told us exactly what all he's already been on. I'd say go for Scorpion at Busch Gardens Africa (Tampa) or Python also located there. Then of course there is also the WindStorm at Old Town, as well as several roller skaters at Disney and Universal. Sea World is also getting a new kiddie coaster opening soon. Your brothers age and height may also help us determine what he CAN ride. -

Great photos. I never really hear much about PCWo, so its nice to see some pictures of the place before I visit. I'm looking forward to next weekend, isn't that weird!? -
Now I have another reason to hate airlines. I've flown the last 3 weeks and now I've got an ear infection, first time I've been sick enough to require medication since 2002 when Jeff Johnson decided to give me and everyone else pneumonia. Another thing I can't stand is parking prices at the PHL airport. $17 a day!? Whats best is 1 weekend cost me $45, the next weekend (same amount of days, but the flight was 3 hours late) cost me $54. Now this weekend I was gone for a little over 24 hours and it cost me $34! I think I'll start flying out of BWI!

^Awesome! I'm looking forward to the "Buzz'd by Noon" photos and videos, not to mention the "Escape from Grand Prix" video.

Ug, I certainly hope I don't have to wait THAT long for Italian Job next weekend, or I may be putting off that credit indefinitely. "I don't need the credit that bad" as Jeff would say -
And for tonight, I'm just relaxing with some Spring Brew, seeing how I'm back where its Spring-like. Good stuff, but how I wish it was more like the nice summer stuff I had yesterday! Time for some Old Dominion

Wow, 2007 is already shaping up to be a good year for new rides. I may have to finally try to make it out to Utah next year from the looks of it. I like when parks announce new rides early, it gives me time to plan a trip there! -
Part 4: Broadway again Finally we was hungry for dinner so we's went back to Broadway. It wasn't too bad, much better than a clam Tommy enjoyed some escargot, which I never had before It was pretty good For an appetizer I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes "Awwwwwk, I'm Brian Fellows" So we went to the Key West Grill so everyone could get some seafoods I didn't really feel like eating at the Luxor Hard Rock Cafe today
-
Part 3: Pavilion Finally we stopped at the Pavilion. Its really sad that this park is closing, because the whole place is really nice. They have some really great rides like a rapids ride, great chairswings in a nice location, 2 dark rides, and 3 average coasters. Its on par with any of the Morey piers, and is actually cleaner and the rides look prettier. I can't wait to come back and stay in a condo here One final shot of the Hurricane From the parking garage, you can get a good look at the whole park. Here you can see the outdoor portion of the HydroSurge rapids ride They were really letting people know this was the last season. From billboards to brochures to this shop at the exit of the park Oh yeah, they have one of those weird Arrow wild mice too. This one was running really good and brakeless They had a log flume named Log Flume too, but this one is not a credit (sorry, Jeff) This Dixie Chick was a Rebel! Little Eagle has a really odd name, and a really unique layout for a Zierer This kiddie coaster adults can ride. woohoo! The animatronic outside talked, blinked, and took off his head. The effects inside were just as good This is a really good 2 story haunted dark ride The band organ was undergoing rehab still, but it looks like my family was involved in its building over in Germany many years ago They have a unique calipso that's also really nicely painted and clean This is the pavilion that started it all More helix pain Rampily returning The pain in the first helix Going down the first drop Its basically an out n back with 2 helices at each end. With the Gerstlauer trains, that's not good! Hurricane, so pretty, but so violent This guy don't look so hot And a new version of the Tilt-A-Whirl, with clean shiny cars and all They've got a similar Sally ride to Family Kingdom These swings were loads of fun and have a nice location right in the middle of the park on a podium Here we is at da Pavilion
-
Part 2: Family Kingdom I had heard very little about this park, other than that Swamp Fox was a fun woodie. The park had a classic seaside park vibe to it (which is good since that's what it is). The rides were pretty much on level with some other parks, with a nice assortment and good upkeep. The pirate ship was running pretty good too But you will get wet on this ride, so Dan will not be riding it And Jeff can even count it as a coaster! Tommy says this is the best log flume ever But the drop portion is just beyond lame And the beach... The tower offers great views of the park... Ahh, the Chance SlingShot, offering a nice shot Tommy rides John Woo style They even have a Sally shooting dark ride here, so they do stay up with new rides Here's another credit, another wacky worm, but this one you can't ride if you're over 50 inches tall Yeah, Sexy Myrtle Beach! View of this classic woodie from the first drop I am riding by myself, I am truly sad and pathetic (or the park was so empty no one was riding and Tommy needed video) Its cool how the lifthill goes towards the ocean. Its also cool how empty the park was so early in the season Look at those awesome air gates Whoa! Ranked #8, why didn't someone tell me how good this was!? Home of the Swamp Fox So here's Family Kingdom

When I got news that Pavilion was to be closing after this year, I knew I had put off going here for too long and this would be the year I'd go. Not wanting to risk putting it off until later in the summer because of hurricane season, I decided to cram it in with all my other Spring plans. I was originally going to go in late March, but because of a business conference and the risk of the rides not being operating so early in the season, I put it off. Cashing in my voucher from the SoCal trip I didn't make earlier this year, I had a nice direct flight from PHL to MYR. The awesomeness of Tommy and James agreed to meet up with me, and even made it so I didn't need to rent a car. As a bonus, they brought Brian (Homey G) with them so we'd have an even group. I'm sure Tommy will have some histerical pictures and video eventually, but here's my take on the quick trip to Myrt. Part 1: Broadway at the Beach and Grand Prix I didn't find it bad at all. I liked the spinning and the restraints weren't too uncomfortable The Top Star Tour, the only one in North America "I love my Wacky Worm, I just want to touch it all the time" Another credit! The FEC had a lot more than just Go carts, like bumper boats Finally Myrtle Beach Grand Prix opens and Brian gets some action from the Crazy Mouse No hotties at Fat Tuesday's either, but luckily no ACErs also! Its like noon, so there's no hotties at Senor Frogs yet "We're 3 hot guys, lets cruise for persons of our sexual preference!" Tommy didn't care too much for beer, especially not the Pale Ale It may only be 11:00 in Myrtle Beach, but its 5:00 somewhere! Since I got in so early, none of the parks were opened. We decided to start off the day with lunch, and I knew where it'd be at! Here's the plane that brought me(and like 64 bags of golf clubs) to da Beach As I flew into Myrtle Beach, we landed coming in from the ocean

After some coaster riding, it was time for dinner. We decided to go back to Broadway at the Beach and eat at the Key West Grill. And with his buzz, James even decided to have a beer, the Clye's Pale Ale since he liked the taste of mine he had earlier This time I went with the Unfiltered Wheat, another good summer brew After the James vs Brian LIIT and margarita battle, we went back to Liberty so I could get my drink on! With $3 margaritas all day, we couldn't pass on getting one. I originally ordered an Anchor Steam, but they were out. Sam Adams is always a good fall back beer
