  1. We'll start off the weekend with something Heath left me before he went off to SoCal and its great breweries (bastard!). and its got great taste to boot! I can't understand why St. Boisterous looks so evil A really nice rich smell for a lager This old dude looks angry, and the color scheme and his appearance should be more for their Christmas beer Victory's Hellerbock, the St. Boisterous
  2. Wow, I had no idea I was a comic character. I'm shocked and honored. Good job getting my hair and goatee right, now if only I had a beer... Looking forward to the next issue, they're really entertaining.
  3. Nice pictures, Lakeside is really a pretty little park, especially at night. The funny thing is the Denver mentality though that Lakeside is the "Bad park" and SFEG is the really good park. Nice that you finally made it there.
  4. "I am a Level 4 Sage. Lightning bolt! Lightning bolt!"
  5. "Influence"- Trapt
  6. Not that I'm doubting a 16 year old providing no information at this time, but I highly doubt the park would have a media day on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Especially when it hasn't passed testing or inspection yet. Plus, media doesn't usually go out on a Sunday. You may be there alone on the 28th for the "Media Day" And FYI to everyone, most coasters to do a pullthru, not just this one because its a plug n play.
  7. Its called a "Media Day" because its for the media and to hype the new ride. If you aren't part of the media, you have to be invited. Usually the park will open the event to local ACE members and other local websites, but you've gotta be on the list in order to get into the park.
  8. Yeah, I always wanted to go to this park but never got around to it. Then when it reopened for a year I was planning on going the following season, of course that never happened because the park never reopened after that season. I had hoped it would reopen, but took it with a grain of salt. Having an owner that wants an amusement park is cool, but when he knows nothing about them and how to pick management, its no wonder this park is doomed. So much for Screechin Eagle and their evil log flume!
  9. mmmm, that sushi experience looks much better than the one I had in Canada. Japan looks really pretty in the Spring, but then again it looks beautiful almost all the time with its nature and combination of old culture and new technology.
  10. Next on my agenda, a beer I had a few nights ago, but this time in a bottle! Probably my favorite Lancaster brew Lancaster's Hop Hog IPA. Not as hoppy as other IPAs, but a really good citrusy beer
  11. ^Probably not, I don't like flying with beer. Besides, why would I bring what I normally drink when I go someplace new and get experience new stuff. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to check out liquor stores and what not, as I won't be at HW for too long with evil lines during "ERT". As for tonight, I'm starting off with Victory's Summer Seasonal, the Whirlwind Witbier, a Belgian Wheat Ale; another beer thanks to Heath! Strange taste, very Belgiany, but not quite a Hoegaarten I always like a new Victory beer
  12. That bites! I'd beat the crap out of the dog and have the dog push the button that kills it and saves you. Ooops, getting my threads mixed up! When I was little my favorite hamster was eaten by a raccoon. Thats why its always a good idea to either not have a whole ark full of pets, or make sure doors are closed. Poor piggies!
  13. I wouldn't let me and my loved one get captured in the first place.
  14. I think I remember something about the control panel needing to be replaced or something. Not too sure if that was the old one or the new one, in either case it doesn't look like it will ever reopen in Oklahomie.
  15. Great stuff so far, captain! I'm looking forward to the rest of the report and pictures, as well as hanging out with you in September! Bring on the beer
  16. "Colors"- Crossfade
  17. ^It looks like you're being sucked into the other dimension caused by using Lou's straw! Don't leave us yet, Anthony, the trip is only a meer 3 weeks away!!
  18. I know one stop BACT will be making on next Spring's NorCal trip Hopefully all goes well and you can have 7 different kinds of IPAs by May to give Triple Rock a run for their money!
  19. Dude, awesome photos, and I totally love the captions. Something tells me Holiday World won't look like that next weekend. I'm still shocked that you'd rather throw pancakes at Elissa than eat them!
  20. ^Sounds good. Send samples!
  21. So far I haven't really had much time to play with it, but I added pretty much every program I had on my Palm over (or an equivalent of) and most of the programs are now able to read both formats the same, meaning all my Treo info is now in the PPC. The interface is nice, there's lots of programs for it, and its really easy to use. The only downsides so far are programs don't remove as easily as you'd think, and the phone dial pad is kinda tough to use without actually looking at it. Other than that, its great so far!
  22. So yesterday at work my cellphone/other brain took a spill off of my desk. I tried to catch it, but ended up just volleying it higher into the air before it crash landed on the hard floor. The impact caused the Treo to crack pretty hard, and while it still worked, the screen was in bad shape and I didn't want to have to use it. So I just HAD to upgrade to the newest and greatest. Since the new Treo isn't going to be released for another few weeks, I decided maybe it was time to switch operating systems to Windows Mobile PPC since they have a lot more phones out now and coming out in the future than Palm. Its got Wifi, Bluetooth, QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile for PPC 5.0, and best of all, EVDO- meaning DSL speeds on wireless! Best $600 I spent all week! All is well again...or will be once I find Windows programs that did what my Palm programs did Check out this sweet feature! I've gone to the darkside with Windows Hooray for money! Everything still works, including the phone, but the screen just looks bad It looks pretty bad here So Treo 650 didn't survive its plunge unscathed
  23. Heath came thru as promised and gave me lots of good new summer seasonals to try. First off was the Pyramid Curve Ball. Not what I expected from Pyramid, but its still a really good summer brew. Wally, you can bring more if you want to HWN. It eluded me in Berkeley, but I finally got it, thanks to Heath!
  24. Last night I met up with fellow BACT members Heath and Kim at Lancaster Brewing Company for some brews in Lancaster (duh!) which is pretty much halfway between us. And I kicked back a Hefe Weizen Heath followed it up with a FranklinFest Lager Don't know what they're brewing next, but they were washing these out The hopheads enjoy some Hop Hog IPA. Really citrusy, not too hoppy like other IPAs The LBC, located in the heart of Lancaster on Rt 23
