I don't see a launch making an El Loco any better. -

SFGAdv - Their Enterprise being turned into a smoking area, then being closed off from the rest of the park as the Old Country became the Lost Country -
Revel was an awesome casino the had one two main problems both tied into it opening at the wrong time? It is really hard to get the established whales to switch casinos. The clientele spent a lot of money on the rooms and in the restaurants but that doesn't bring in the big money. Money dried up in the New York area over the past five years. Revel was trying to follow a strategy that Borgota took, but there just weren't enough big time customers. And I'm not talking about people willing to drop $1,000 - $5,000 at the tables, I'm talking about the people pull out $25,000+ at a table.

Go Pros and Coasters
larrygator replied to sirspud's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Please review this thread Six Flags does not allow filming of any type while on their rides and coasters. I believe Cedar Fair and Busch have the same policies, they should be available through each park. Breaking park rules can result in expulsion from the park. Breaking parks rules and posting about it on TPR will result in a ban from TPR. Rules don't always make sense to all enthusiasts, but they must be followed. -

Whether you need one day or two depends. How large is the family? What are the ages of the kids? I know with families meals, bathroom breaks, naps and games take some time. -

Take a bobsleigh ride!

Jon as far as I remember, participants ride with an experienced driver. You don't have the option to steer. -
Take a bobsleigh ride!
larrygator replied to Mickey_079's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although they are quite pricey I thoroughly enjoyed the two Bobsled runs I have done. I did the Calgary course in summer of 2012 with Chris Spring as my driver. Back in 2011, I did the Bobsled (and Skeleton) run at Lake Placid during the winter. Of course, I preferred the more "natural" winter feeling on ice and blades in cold weather. -

^I used to be a huge Magnum fanboy, but my last two visits to the park 2014 and 2012 changed my thoughts on Magnum. It is certainly showing its age. -
Are Alpine Coasters credits?

I thought Joey already proved that the second strategy doesn't work. -
Here is the deal with Discussion Threads, myself or another moderator will create one for a smaller park is one of two conditions exist. 1) The park announces a really big ride. Someone starts a thread about the addition. We will let the discussion revolve around the ride for a bit then the moderators turn it into a Park Discussion Thread. 2) If over the years we see multiple news thread for an individual park, then we will aggregate them into a Park Discussion Thread. It's pretty telling that park has two news rides for 2015 and no one took the effort to make a new thread to discuss. That tells me and the other moderators that a Discussion Thread isn't necessary at this time.

I agree. At least the Vietnamese will (probably) not have to suffer through that pre-show. I really enjoyed the pre-show (probably because I really like LZ), but I did not enjoy it in 100 degree weather the day we visited. But dozens of rides on Nights in White Satin made up for that. Damn I miss that ride.

Krystal and White Castle are not affiliated with each other. I always forget Hardee's is Carl's Jr. and never even consider stopping at Hardees (because I hated the old Hardees).

What's New for 2015
larrygator replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The park is designed for kids, not old farts like us. I'm glad they used a spin-off of Mr. Roger's as the theme. I wonder if they will leave easter eggs in the new version.
