I forgot she had the idol also and don't see how she can lose. Is it possible the Jon gave Jaclyn his idol before Tribal? He didn't mention going home with it in his pocket. EDIT: I completely forgot how piss poor everyone but Natalie and Keith are at challenges

My day at Knoebel's always ends on the Skooters. Hersheypark days ends with me buying a giant bag of kettle corn. Busch Gardens Williamsburg usually ends with my playing skeeball by Apollo's Chariot. I usually win something there and if I play at the end of the day, I don't have to carry anything around all day. I don't have any other set endings for other parks.

What's New for 2015

I'm not even touching China (too complicated) unless it is a park that TPR has already been to. Your thread is a good source to see what's going on. -
Agreed, she was very annoying on the Amazing Race. I think she has a good shot at winning if she can make the final. If Missy can make the final I think she will get the sympathy vote. Baily needs to get voted off so she can give her Mom a vote in the final. I don't think anyone would vote for Missy, am I missing something?

La Ronde Discussion Thread

LaRonde needs a lot more than this to make it a good park. What is needs has nothing to do with the rides, but the people that run them. -

Six Flags question
larrygator replied to grsupercity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just because your SF park doesn't maintain its bathrooms don't dog the whole chain. My park keeps its bathrooms very clean. -
^Yup, you never know. I just can't recall anyone ever riding someone's coattails to the final and then winning. You have to play the game to get the majority of the jury votes. Nice guys and schemers win and I don't recall too many nice guys. Jud/Fabio is the only recent one I recall

^I know it sounds familiar, I just don't know how much room the park has to use or what they consider a big investment -
This article from the Morocco World News came across my newsfeed today. http://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2014/12/146312/us-saudi-consortium-to-invest-1-3-billion-in-southern-morocco/ US-Saudi Consortium to Invest $ 1.3 billion in Southern Morocco Monday 8 December 2014 Morocco World News Rabat – A Saudi-American consortium led by Saudi company Knowledge Corner (KC), announced on Saturday the signing of an agreement with the province of Taroudant and the regional investment center of Souss Massa Draa (CRI). The agreement will result in the launching of investments estimated at $1.3 billion in the Taroudant region. According to media24 news website, the Saudi-American project will be spanning over an area of 8, 7 million square meters and will include an amusement park, hotels, restaurants, medical facilities and real estate projects. The same source went on to highlight that the Amusement park will be run by an internationally known American brand and it is expected to attract as many as 2 million visitors a year. Projected to be built on an area of 650 acres, the amusement park will include hotels of three and four stars, in addition to restaurants and a golf course. The agreement was signed by the owner of KC Khaled Al Dosary and from the Moroccan side, the Governor of Taroudant Fouad Mhamdi and the director of CRI Nazih Khalil. Knowledge Corner is a Riyadh-based company specializing in providing marketing, trading and real estate services for domestic and international clients.

Anyone on the jury that is going to vote solely on strategy has only three choices. Jan, Jaclyn, or Natalie. If the trailers speak the truth that doesn't bode well for Natalie

First of all, no... that wasn't announced. We're just speculating. Nothing concrete was announced. I do believe that they'll eventually paint it red, remove the speakers and re-name it because it's marketable and they can sell more merchandise that way. Just painting the ride isn't marketable and it costs the park money so this is a clever way to make a profit but I doubt the ride experience will change much. I won't fault them for that but I'm not all that interested. I'm not reading too far into the line about "new technology" because that could mean anything. Maybe it will be cool but until something is announced I'm not getting excited about it. And second of all... Yes. I am hung up on the "measly" sky ride. I'm hung up on the sky ride because it's just another ride in the endless list of rides that this park has removed and not replaced with anything because this park has no concept of the fact that a park needs more than just roller coasters to be enjoyable. This park was better 10 years ago in 2005 than it was in 2014 and for that to ever be the case at any park is truly amazing. I can't think of any other park anywhere where you could honestly say that but in this case it's the truth. Here's a list of non coaster rides closed since 2005... Log Flume (good ride replaced by an ugly, awful piece of crap) Colossus (iconic ride that was not replaced at all, a ride was relocated here that already existed in the park and an up-charge carnival ride was added) Chaos (not replaced) Spider (not replaced) Rodeo (not replaced, highly visible eyesore pad and queue is still there 8 years later) Bumper Buggies (not replaced) Double Trouble (not replaced) Time Warp (not replaced, pad is still there 6 years later) Nightwing (replaced with a ride that we already had only now it's outside so it's far less interesting) Shipwreck Falls (actually replaced but with the current State of Goliath and it's new train I'd almost rather have Shipwreck Falls back) Catapult (not replaced) Taz's Daredevil Dive (actually replaced) Twister (not replaced, and despite the rumors I'll believe it when I see it) New England Skyway (we all know this will never be replaced) In that time the following adult non coaster rides have been added Splashwater Falls (replaced the log flume... the log flume was a much better ride) Slingshot (an up-charge Carnival ride) New England Skyscreamer Yup... that's it. So yes, I'm annoyed about the Sky Ride. I'm really annoyed, because this park just continues to do this stuff year after year. Similar to Great Adventure's story for 15 years.

This is true, just like decades ago when ride operators could manipulate the spinning on a Tilt-a-Whirl with manual braking

I don't know much about the park, so I could be wrong. But an S&S El Loco sounds like a big project that is small enough to fit in the park without ruining the atmosphere. -
Makes sense except for the fact that the bowl sites are clustered in warm weather climates. Works well as long as the contenders are warm weather teams.

At which park was it $10 for a bottle of water? -
Unless the bowls agree to let the first round games be held on campuses (and not be part of the bowl system) I think an eight game playoff will rip the heart out of game. And by the heart I mean the hardcore fans. I love college football because of the passion of the fans. Having to make fans potentially travel three times will be fine for the top level booster, the rich guys. But the spirit of the lives with the younger and more energetic fans, and the are going to have to pick and choose the game they go to. I just fear the live audience will become corporate and not as passionate. Most conferences can't even get their stands filled for their Conference Championship game.

I can not be confirmed nor denied that construction is on pace. I don't think anyone here has the construction schedule. It would make sense for Holiday World to be further along since that area of the country has harsher winter weather so Holiday World has to get ahead of the curve before the severe weather sets in. -
