  1. Generally, Six Flags parks are not open after Halloween weekend, unless SFoG does things differently. 2008 is the last time that Halloween fell on a Friday or Saturday and I'm not sure if the SFoG was opened on November 1st and 2nd that year.
  2. ^So they city originally approved it, then the local residents complained and the city changed its decision and revoked the permit.
  3. ^ and ^^ HELLO - this is not the Darien Lake thread
  4. ^Thank you for clarifying, I forgot that the park already owned the land.
  5. Jack Bruce - One of the best things to ever come out of Sctoland http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/25/showbiz/cream-jack-bruce-bass/index.html
  6. $2.69 per gallon tonight in New Joisey
  7. Rides tend to be removed when they are at the end of their life cycle. That combined with the placement of the coaster probably made SkyRider the obvious choice to go in the minds of management. What about Mantis turning into Rougarou. Mantis is rough and got changed to a floorless coaster. Cedair Fair is just trying to make Cedair Point perfect. They should try to make Canada's Wonderland perfect. What's your point? Cedar Fair is not removing a coaster, the park is modifying a coaster.
  8. Family Kingdom is NOT a kicka$$ park. Well I mean its not in the same level as any major amusement park, but I've been going there for years and I've only had good experiences... The staff are friendly, the rides are pretty good (Swamp Fox especially) and the water park is really good for a park of its size. So while it might not be the most amazing park in the nation you're pretty much guaranteed to have a good (and not too crowded) time whenever you choose to go... I guess if I enjoyed Swamp Fox I would feel differently about the park, but Swamp Fox did not impress me on my two visits to Myrtle Beach.

  10. ^ I consider most of what Six Flags does to be decorating not theming.
  11. But in the US if the dropped camera injures another passenger, the park will be sued for neglect. So it is not just your risk it is the park's risk.
  12. Of course Bollywood park would be of the least interest to me, since I don't follow Indian film, but it's a smart move to cater to local tastes. I'd probably still visit when I get to Dubai, since I have enjoyed themed areas and parks in China, Japan and Europe even when not familiar with the characters and storylines.

  14. Since they converted Medusa to Bizarro, I never noticed that the park changed to wheels on that wagon to be square until now. No one can theme like Six Flags.
  15. I never had a problem with the hat as I always felt Fantasia was a landmark movie for Disney. Since, I never visited the park prior to the hat, I do not have the same mindset of it being an out of place obstruction. I don't keep up on protests, but are there still fringe groups complaining about the content of the original release calling it sexist and racist?
  16. True, they are plenty of families who will never return someplace, whether is be a restaurant or amusement park, if the bathrooms are dirty.
  17. Once all this stuff gets built, I'll certainly add Dubai to my bucket list. I'll admit I'm only going there for the amusement parks and Burj Khalifa.
  18. A few years ago Grona Lund was trying to purchase an adjacent piece of property for additional coasters, the park owners shared this with TPR during the first Scandi trip. However, I beleive the acquisition or plans were blocked by the locals.
  19. ^I wish it was her mother that got sent home.
  20. I think in is in the old Bling location. While mastering the spinning at Nigloland, were you able to hold on to your wallet.
  21. Some Chinese parks were still doing that in 2012, quite humorous. Surprising to hear it happening at the most Westernized park (outside of HKDL)
