  1. YES, that would be a wise decision!
  2. The walk thru you reference as a shooting attraction looks like a laser maze. Even without understanding the rules, a bunch of us had a blast with one we did on the Japan Trip a few years back.
  3. Voters selected by Amusement Today are enthusiasts or in the industry. But as I mentioned earlier there are different levels of enthusiasts and well traveled they are. It's one thing for someone who never left the US to look at DisneySea or Europa Park and vote for either as best park. However, when it comes to ranking their Top 10 coasters, voters are unlikely to select a coasters they never rode. Unless every voter has been on the same all coasters there will be bias. Noah's Ark is a fun walkthrough, but is nothing like the quality fun houses in Scandinavia.
  4. Amusement Today has made an effort in recent years to be more diversified in number of voting members from different parts of the US. However, it is extremely skewed in terms of US voters versus international voters. Last time I saw the percentage % by part of the US I think it was still skewed towards the Ohio/Midwest. With that said, not all enthusiasts are alike. Some will travel the world but some only occasionally leave their region. Most members that vote are coaster enthusiasts, not theme/amusement park enthusiasts, and that certainly skews the results, also. Whether you agree or not many coaster enthusiasts consider Cedar Point someplace they have to visit and return to over and over.
  5. Let's continue further discussion on The Golden Tickets in this thread that AJ was kind enough to start. 2014 Golden Tickets thanks
  6. Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Dubai Parks and Resorts (Motiongate, Legoland Dubai and Bollywood), this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPRs Park Index - Legoland Dubai or Motiongate Legoland Dubai Official Website Motiongate's Official Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. 7. I don't recall Arthur being on the ballot and being a write-in winner is almost impossible. Even if it was on the ballot how many people voting would have ridden it before ballots were due last month. The poll this proves that you really never leave to leave the Eastern US if you are an enthusiast! Props to Europa Park for taking top prize because a lot of seasoned international traveled probably voted for DisneySea.
  8. It's like a lifetime achievement award, since it took so long to open.
  9. Thanks for the updates, I combined them with previous news from the park to form a new Movieland Studios Discussion Thread. Enjoy!
  10. KD fans are really starting to annoy me. They get I305 four years ago yet want a big coaster like they haven't gotten one in 10 years. With this and how many are saying Fury325 won't be a good coaster, it's like Giga coasters are Volares. Don't let one idiot affect your opinion about KD fans.
  11. My apologies to anyone who read my post that has since been removed. Policy has changed since the last time I purchased a wristband. Thank You to rcdude and CPSFMMCW for re-educating me.
  12. And to add the restraints on MegaLites are far more comfortable than on SkyRush. I know some people don't complain about the pain on SkyRush, but no I've heard few complaints about pain from MegaLites. Also, some fatties have trouble fitting into MegaLites.
  13. 1993 backwards has nothing to do with a ring of fire. He was never talking about Looping Dragon by the slightest... How does "1993 backwards has nothing to do with a ring of fire" have nothing to do with with Looping Dragon? And that was very clear, I understand what he wrote. My issue with his post was that he claims it is no longer happening because state regulators putting the kibbosh on it. That is pure speculation, and people are assuming it is fact.
  14. 1993 backwards has nothing to do with a ring of fire. He was never talking about Looping Dragon by the slightest... How does "1993 backwards has nothing to do with a ring of fire" have nothing to do with with Looping Dragon?
  15. 1993 backwards has nothing to do with a ring of fire. When did he say it had anything to do with a ring of fire?
  16. Exactly, if they announced it and then it wasn't approved we would have the same whining that we saw regarding Zumanjaro/Kingda Ka. Enthusiasses need to gain a measure of patience.
  17. The clues pointed to namtaB coming here. 1993 backwards was too obvious. It has to be the state Your reasoning is extremely simplistic and rooted in circumstantial assumptions.
  18. It is not legal, not acceptable, not debatable on our forums. Thread locked!
  19. Also EuropaPark - EuroMir, EuroSat, Matterhorn Blitz, Phantasialand - Winjas, Temple of the Nighthawk If you want to include elevator lifts as enclosed.
  20. There is no need for a rude comment like this towards someone writing their first PTR. You are free to write your own PTR in any many you wish. Many people enjoy seeing trip reports broken up in this manner. Personally, I would never combine "tour of a city" pictures with park pictures in one post.

  22. ^This the lowest price I have ever seen for a SFGAdv season pass that includes free parking and entry into all SF parks. I know most SF parks tend to discount their passes more than SFGAdv.
  23. Not any more That's why I wanted to wait a couple more days before posting
  24. Just like we did the past 4 years, this thread will serve as a place to house a list of "what's new" for 2015 at major parks with links to the announcements. We encourage you to notify us of any new rides/coasters by posting in this thread. Discussions about individual rides and parks should continue in the appropriate discussion thread through the links in this thread. Rumors will not be included. We also don't plan to list every random out of the way upcoming attraction, so outside of major announcements this is limited to parks TPR has covered (or will likely cover in the future) in the Park Index.
