  1. It all depends on how much spinning your body can take. i used to be able to ride the Power Surge repeatedly, now one ride is enough. I wouldn't call it scary but but you do get tossed around like a rag doll.
  2. I still predict it is a Dive Coaster for 2015 and a Mean Streak RMC conversion in 2016!
  3. The thing is they are far from awesome, just unique to many people in the area. Remind me of the mania around Krispy Kreme when they moved into new cities, they are not that good.
  4. I'm not sure how to read this. Does this mean that 50% of total attendance is derived from season pass holders or 50% of total gate revenue comes from season pass buyers? Either way I would think upping the season passes a wee bit will add a lot to the bottom line.
  5. I did, I love Calypso and it was mentioned on Page 2156
  6. OK, got it. When I stopped by the park last summer Quasar looked great with its paint job.
  7. For most of the visitors to the park, a new ride is better than not getting a new ride. Plain and simple.
  8. I missed this news, when did this occur?
  9. ok so that's a nice distance. The closet RMC I-Box coaster is at Six Flags Over Texas. And thats 12&1/2 hours from here so thats even better And 99% of parks guests don't care and/or have any idea what RMC and I-Box mean.
  10. Does it really cost a park that much revenue if a coaster opening is delayed. A season passholder might delay a trip until the problems are resolved but they still bought the pass. Once a season pass holder buys a pass that passholder tries to hit the park up a certain number of days anyway. They still try to maximize the number of visits to the park. Day trippers may delay a trip, but they still eventually end up at the park. Most out of towners don't decide to skip a park just because a ride is down after they already spent money on traveling. Delays might lose the parks goodwill with the fan base, but if the ride is high quality visitors when still return to the park.
  11. Absolutely. Cedar Point's policy is excellent. They wait about 10 minutes on just about every major ride, even rides like Iron Dragon get a grace period. Cedar Point also has the benefit so many workers living in dorms. Easier to keep the employees if they don't have to commute.
  12. Yes, it was quick serve counter service. I think their "signature" dish was fried chicken
  13. Seems to tie in to a earlier discussion of the theme revolving around an Italian dardevil.
  14. If you ever get the chance, try the Madison Square Park location. On a nice day it's magical experience of eating outdoors, drinking a beer in the park, watching the dogs and random roller bladers. Then you get to have gelato at Eataly (right across the street) for dessert. Next trip to NYC hopefully. I never made it to Madison Square Park or Eataly. The Madison Square Park Shake Shack temporarily closed late last year. Expected to re-open by June/July 2015.
  15. Since the park does have those franchise tie-ins I have no problems with their other food offerings. i have a choice and I'll avoid the low quality food. Quality food service is a huge pain in the butt for parks, if they want to sublet in order to bring in quality I have no problem with that. I have a problem when the vendors they partner with are subpar or unspectacular.
  16. They probably have a good idea but will wait to see how everything works out with current installations and make possible tweaks.
  17. I'm about to make chicken fajitas
  18. I'm not drunk right now so I'll withhold my comment on White Castle beef sliders. But having the CraveMobile there appears to be a PR/Marketing home run. Although I love their Chicken Sliders (not available at mobile locales)
