  1. ^ Oh great, I went on the one at Beech Bend. I've heard that many of the fairs are actually pretty safe. You really don't hear that much about accidents at fairs, mainly parks.
  2. Here's the details on PKI. http://www3.paramountparks.com/KingsIsland/news/detail.cfm?item_id=426 Doesn't look like anything I'm all that interested in, especially if Carowinds doesn't get anything good next year.
  3. Nice to see the Le Mans cars pop up. I want one of them to go on ebay so I can buy it. lol
  4. ^ Screamscape is not always that reliable. They are also the site that reported Carowinds was getting a hyper next year.
  5. I've never seen much about this park and it looks really nice. Not your typical six flags asphault or at least that's the way it looks from here. I love how HOT DOG is the same in french as english. lol I want me some French Pancackes!!!
  6. This has been a depressing year for small parks. Sad to see another one go. Now if it was as bad ad South of the Border I'd say good riddance!
  7. I vote Rich. It's awesomelicious.
  8. I read somewhere on the NBC Boards that they will get their money $50,000 a year for 20 years. Not exactly enough money for everyone to retire like they thought. lol Not that I would complain if it was me, but 20 years is a long time to get all your money.
  9. Just get a small $500 line of credit credit card. And use it maybe once a month or once a quarter, pay it off each time. Basically what credit companies look for is that you pay on time, you don't go over your limit, you don't default and that you at least use the card every now and then. To give you an idea, I had a LOT of credit at one time but I never defaulted or anything. I had a 720 credit score when I went to get my mortgage. I think a 850 or something is the best you can have! I found out the hard way that co-signing with your parents does nothing for your credit. All the credit records go to your parents because they are they main creditor, you're just a co-signer.
  10. I've always wanted to attend one of these but never have gotten to. I have been to the Christian festivals/concerts at Carowinds and SFOG though.
  11. Nice TR. For some reason you look very familiar, I'm sure I saw you at Holiwood Nights. This... Reminds me of this... (after my first ride on Voyage at HWNights)
  12. escalators in parks rock. Nice PTR
  13. Not really trying to plug my employer, but Bank of America also offers a program where the change from each debit transaction will roll to your savings. So not only do you not go into debt, you save a little bit each time and the bank will match some of it as well. It's called "Keep the change". I signed up a couple months ago and have saved a little bit so far.
  14. If only I wasn't 12 hours away . I'll get up there some day. Looks aweome. Thanks for the PTR.
  15. Why in the world did they change the name from Wilde Beast to Wild Beast. Surely people didn't call it "Wildy Beast" now did they?
  16. IKEA ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Cool setup Jarvis. I'm not that talented around the house. I used cardboard boxes so that I could stack stuff on the top of those wire shelves the house comes with. lol But noone knows the difference.
  17. Red 99 Beetle. Gets 40-45 mpg on the highway!!! (gas too)
  18. I used to have this problem sometimes, but when I went totally off caffeine it stopped and I sleep straight through the night most of the time. I only drink water, tea (not very often) and crystal light.
  19. Well the finale was pretty good, if a little anticlimactic. I'm glad the Southies didn't win, to me they were a bit full of themselves. I'm surprised this show didn't take off more than it did. I hope they bring it back next year.
  20. ^ The only reason you would ever need one is to rent a car. ^^ I hear ya. Thankfully I never defaulted on anything, but at one time I probably had 8-10 credit cards (between regular cards and store cards). Store cards are the worst. They offer you 10% off one purchase to get one and then charge you 29% interest. Makes a lot of sense! I'm down to only 2 cards now, but both have a balances and between a mortgage and other bills it gets tight. Thankfully my car is paid off or I would be in steep trouble because the banks just doubled the minimum payment required. That about killed me. lol Anyway, I hope this will help out someone. My advice if you don't have the money to buy something. Don't. Save up the money or just wait until you can afford it. As long as you've got the basics in life, you can live without the rest.
  21. LOL You guys have the tiny boats like Carowinds has. lol I bet the line takes forever as well. SFOG had these HUGE ones that sat like 8 or 10.
  22. I honestly don't know what I'm writing this to you guys, but I feel like if I can at least warn one person to avoid what I got myself into then it will be worth it. I just really want to warn the younger posters out there the danger of credit cards. There's nothing wrong with having one, but when you max out one and then get a second and a third, etc pretty soon you can't pay your bills. The reason I'm even saying anything is that I'm amazed the lack of talk about this at all with youth today. It can literally screw up your life, but yet noone talks about it. Many people head off to college and then they get credit card offers thrown at them left and right. Before you know it you've got thousands of dollars in debt from credit cards AND school loans. I don't want to sound like a parent, but I really do want you guys to think twice before getting into consumer debt. I've got a long way to get out of mine that I got in and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, ok maybe Saddam or someone. But you get my point. Maybe this can start a good discussion on this subject, because it really does need to be addressed in the US. It really has become a huge problem.
  23. What you didn't hear that Dollywood is going totally Euro next year and building an Escalator ride? They are so desperate to get Robb back to the park that they will do anything.
  24. The brake run on Ninja (SFOG). Does it count as a 2nd credit since it shakes back and forth so much??? The helixes on Hurricane (MB) are terrible and why aren't they banked?
  25. Unfortunatley we was po back then and couldn't afford $100 Members Only jackets. lol I remember when Air Jordans came out and couldn't believe anyone would pay that much for a sneeker. And then kids started shooting each other over then.
