  1. Actually, the "mountainology" goes.... The Matterhorn = Big Thunder Mountain(s) = Expedition:Everest They just keep gettin' bigger and bigger..... (EDIT: And I mean the "natural" mountains, hmm?)
  2. Well, four out of 6 ain't too bad, heh heh. Missed the song and Da Picture. Pimped and Crashed, oh my!
  3. ^ ^And which one was it, anyway? They all look like they're having a "Who, me?" Kind-of Guilt Moment, lol. That, or a 'WAHDDDYAF---INTHINKYOURLOOKIN'AT..." One or the other, heh heh. Loved the Crazy Mouse vid with Tom, there. And I think that one 'try' on one of these things will be quite sufficient for myself, thinks.
  4. One of the best things being said about his year's nominees for Best Picture - is that any of these films could have run in any other year, and probably have won. The fact that all five have been critically acclaimed in their own right, and not been Big Budget Action/Thriller/Epic/Whatever-type Movies.... well, I think that's nice for a change, considering what has passed thru before, claiming to be an "oscar contender" - eh. This is the first time in a very long time, that most peeps have not had a problem with all five nominees - AND that all five directors related to same films, have been nominated as well. A very rare ocurrence. In the meantime - GO BROKEBACK, GO!!!
  5. ^ Is very cated - a whole fistful! < Cluck, cluck BOING!!! V Can actually say SUPERCALIFRAGILSITICEXPIALIDOCIOUS backwards. For real.
  6. ^ Maybe when they filled out their application form(s) for the show, it "looked good on paper..." hmmm? Who knows? Me and David kinda looked at each other and went 'just friends'? And the touchy-feely stuff did starting coming into the picture slowly and (not too)surely.. fairly obvious by their (inevitable) finish. Whatever. They were totally un-organized for what they were thrown into, at the beginning, and they just had the bad luck of traffic jams a few turns of the way, to make it worse, lol. Hey - the gai couples have had their 'onscreen triumphs & tragedies' here before, heh heh.
  7. Here - you can have mine, when I get it in - mid/April. And no earlier, too.
  8. Yes! (Finally, a positive answer here.... ) Do you know the difference between Gouda and Edam Cheese?
  9. Here! Here! I have one I can ship over to you Chris!!! Wow. Excellent construction shots there. And I love the color combo of the track and the support framework. Looks nice and evil-looking, heh heh. Yes, definitely for a bit of a ride next year, huh? (Keep up the grrreat photo work there too, Chris, by the by...)
  10. ^ I don't remember seeing anything like that, here in Vancouver, LOL! Nice, very nice set-up, Wally. A complete beer 'package to go,' heh heh. Very nice.
  11. I hate you all. I hope you have a terrible, awful day. And that it pours and pours... ~ ~ ~ Other than the above... Hope it's a great day for everybody who gets together, there.
  12. Nice to see what the place looks like it's it's Early Entry times.... After our Spring'07 trip to DLPR & Asterix, I am hoping to come back by mid-September of the same year, and stay somewhere near the park for a month, taking in the parks before the Halloween overlay - and after, into Oct. And still using my Annual Dream Pass I picked up, in April. Thanks for sharing the pix, Andy. I do love that Disney park and hope to visit it at least every two-three years, that I can.
  13. Well, judging by the photo with Tom in it.... your guess is as good as mine, mmm?
  14. bunkbeds? Um, not having been tooooo used to climbing up into a bunkbed lately.... just thought I'd note that.
  15. ^ Yeah, and you have to hand it to her huz-b/f (?) for 'maintaining his cool,' while that oggeling (sp?) was going on..... ugh, indeed. We both thought they were great, and he deserved extra points for NOT suddenly turning on all of "them", yelling or... maybe something worse, lol. He just maintained his cool, but you could certainly see that 'stuff emoting' in his eyes, heh heh. A classy couple.
  16. It looks like parts of DCA are starting to go...um..."that way," y'know?... (It's the 'Brokeback Mountain' influence, hmmm?) ~ ~ ~ (Thanks to MiceAge.com for the photograph.) Hmmm. Trim looks juuuust about right, mm'k?
  17. And speaking in the LEGO way of posting... Here's a link to an amazing layout of LEGO, a DarylF of Calgary, Alberta did recently (after 10 months work!) and displayed for a local fair.... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=169866 The Linkup was also courtesy of MiceAge.com with it's MiceChat. Wow - and it keeps on going and getting better....
  18. Innocently disturbing.... And yet, altogether, inescapeable In it's focus and scope.
  19. I was in one, years ago, before I turned ten, with my mom in her car. I remember we were in a lane, probably not left hand, and my mom was imemdiately going to cross traffic to get over to a King Burger (very local, and 'in' back in late 50's) when WHAM! I think the idiot (her) was in a second lane, and was turning across the inside left lane, no signal light on, the guy who hit her side probably had no clue she was going to turn that suddenly. I remember the 'hit' was jarring, but not bad enough, to have to be a) pulled out of, or b) extracted from, etc. I think we both walked away from it, and I can't remember for the life of me, whether we had seat belts on, at that time. I mean, they weren't mandatory like they are nowadays here. But I guess we did have them on. Not even scratched, as I can recall. Don't remember the $ outcome. I was "too young at the time..." to know any better, heh heh. But that's my "boyhood car accident." I have had my "adult accidents" with both cars and motorcycles and lived to tell tales of... in another thread, maybe lol.
  20. "And another one bites the dust...."
  21. And NOW that I've re-found this thread - may I humbly REQUEST A STICKY this be made, please? I mean, we've had a Rant Sticky as long as I can remember, since re-finding you guys - but no opposite of...? Pour quoi? MY Happiness Pie here almost became Rant Root Soup, 'cause I couldn't find the dang thread, mmm'k? I mean, we all must have some good stuff in our life we'd like to share, hmm? Along with all the crap and stuff we rant and rightly bitch about, nice & regularly I might add, lol? Rants are always, usually easy. Raves are sometimes harder to throw. But wonderful to receive. Just a suggest . ~ ~ ~ Now - after all the ranting I did about our local "park," Playland (see other thread), I immediately retreated to Yonder Kitchen, procured a thick sliced chunk of cold, good old-fashioned meat loaf, schmeared (yes you heard that right, kids) some A-1 Steak Sauce on one side - And ate it. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Happiness Pie. C'est complete. (EDIT: Good eatin' pays the price = bad spelling...tsk, tsk.)
  22. jazz rendition of... The First Time (Ever I saw Your face...) Cyrus Chestnutt, on piano
  23. The more I read about other "local parks" and their niceities (sp?), the redder and redder I get over our crap-crap-crappy idea of a (woo hoo) "Local Amusement Park." I mean - it's not even a park for WTF's sake! It's beasically an eff-ing rectangle of space, mainly asphalt, and not even that stuff they use real 'parks,' laughable landscaping and generally, a cruddy setup of flats and "the coasters." And all (mainly)because I am going on the June TPR UK Tour - I had to talk myself into actually buying of of the (ick) Park's Season's Pass...s-s-s. $64 Cdn$, w/taxes (yay). For basically a good US price - you get a small number of flats, an old Mouse Coaster I wouldn't even put my own kid on (if I had one), a more-than-used CorkScrew that is... well, more-than-used, looks junky, rides 'fun-ky.' Eh. I envy those with a few miles between them and a really good local park with a good selection of rides in an actual tree-filled area. Or on a dock like Morey's Piers, with an incredible ocean to have, "right there." I hate Playland, have for decades now - and yet I have to go to it this season. To get myself 'limbered up', for "The Tour in The UK." Anyway... (EDIT: I did forget tho - The Main Reason and ONLY Reason this Playland season pass will 'pass' at all, for worthiness, is of course one of The Best Wooden Coasters around. Anywhere in North America. But this IS The Rant Thread - so whatcha gonna do? ...)
  24. Yep. Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy over there somewhere..........
  25. Yeah, and you say it beeyootifully, Walter! (EDIT: Sorry Wally - didn't change your name, till now 05/03.)
