Looks like an ! EXCLAMATION POINT ! to me. -
Decades go by - and parents usually remain the same, for the most part. Most of them. Scary to deal with, no matter how many. Or how few. But in time, the love wins out. I hope it does for you and your folks, c 4 m.

OMG I feel so out of the (pardon Derek) loop on this one! Freaky feeling now watching some of you who I toured with last year.... already someplace else, together.... And I'm not there with you (sniff) OTHER THAN THAT (geez, gedoverit) - great start of the trip guyz!!! Looking forward to ALL of everybody's TRs and vids, etc. etc.

Just went to my friendly neighborhood credit union (VanCity Go!), and ordered up myself a bunch of YEN$ for the upcoming Sept. Japan tour...

Remembered another 'recent' one... Sept. 2002 WDS - DisneyParis Rode the Rock 'n' Roller coaster in it's first six months of op. Lots of long lines for it. Back then. Then I rode it this April at DLPR's 15th Anny celebrations. A virtual walk-on, hah! Will be interesting to see how crowds work (line-wise) in it, when the ToT finally opens in January, as well as the (now) opened Toon Studios and it's 2 new attractions.

Sorry to read your flight got delayed. That sucks, especially at the start of a tour like the TPR tours. On our trip back from Paris/Amsterdam this past spring, we encountered the following at Schipoldt (sp?) airport... Thurs/May 10 - Arrive at airport at noon, for a 3pm departure. Wait and wait and get delayed an hour here; two hours there. Seems 'something' had to be fixed on our plane and by the time it is fixed, our first flight crew and staff's wait time (per their contract) has "run out". So a second crew/staff is called, but after another few hours of re-fueling and cleaning up the plane....you guessed it. Second crew's "contract time" runs out." And they leave, too. And now, they can't find a replacement crew/staff anywhere.... FINALLY - at 8 PM - the entire flight is CANCELLED and the planeful of us is booked into hotels and re-routed on other flights, etc. And David and I have to get our luggage back out of "the system" as meds are needed that weren't before this all happened. So that takes over an hour.... Get to the swanky (132 Euros per night?) airport hotel, attack the dinner buffet, and get ready for..... tomorrow. Fri/May 11 - Arrive back at airport with bags. Re-check them in. Flight leaves on time and we get home approx. 24 hours after we should have.... But - our luggage does not travel back with us!!!!! Seems our removing the bags, then re-checking them back into "the system" did not 'compute' out accordingly with the auto-baggage handling... and our three bags plus several other peeps' stuff are all left in one container, back in Amsterdam! . Sat/May 12 - Our luggage is finally shipped back to us at home. We are told it will "probably be early evening" when we get them. Then, we get a call from the delivery service... "Not till near 10 pm, we figure" they say. Okayyyyy... 9:45 PM we FINALLY get a phone call from the delivery guy. Seems the idiot didn't have a flashlight with him, so he couldn't 'read' the house addresses at night? So he stopped at the beginning of our block (guess which end, and we're at the other of course...), and was already unloading the bags onto the sidewalk when we raced down the street to meet up with him! And cart our three bags up the entire black to our house. All told - 48 hours to get us AND our bags, back to home! Fortunately, nothing is torn or 'missing' etc. from any of them. (whew) * * * * * * * My heart goes out to you guys starting the tour. If it's weather-related... or not, with the flight delays and all.

WHAT - No Dancing Waters??? (Kid-ding.) They were quaintly cool too. And free! And the Haunted House was always WTF in the amount of TIME it took you to walk through it. It kept going and going and.... Thanks for sharing your trip there. -
Surf's Up Eh. It was alright. A film made, 'a la reality tv' following peguins who surf.... There were some good laughs in it. But it's not a kid's movie. Not for any kid under six, at least. Too much 'stuff' aimed at older peeps. Hmmm. Ok. 7/10 'cause the animatiion was excellent, esp. all the water shots, the surfing waves, etc. But - I really REALLY think we're ABOUT DONE with animated penguin movies, alrighty?

Wow. So sad to see it slowly be torn apart and demolished and flattenened, like the park was never there to begin with.... Actually, for a park that had (at the time we were there) two of it's five coasters "down" (yeah, shure...), I had a pretty good time at it. The Funhouse. Yeah, that was so cool actually seeing it, being in it, doing everything in it, and being part of a big group having a really FUN TIME! My First Chaos. Not great. But it was different for a first time, y'know? My First Upshot. That was great. Robb's got a pic of me and Ryan here, somewhere, on it... ALL the cheesy dark rides. Even if the swing in the Arabian Nights wasn't working. Solomon's Mines. Another classic scary-as-sh** mouse. So happy I got to ride that. Even if it did 'feel' like it was ready to fall down at any second, heh heh. Haunted House. Musty, dusty, and a little bit (a bit???) smelly, but cool to go through. And the Cyclone with it's slightly "bent lift hill," lol. Oh - and all-you-can-eat pizza lunch too!!!

Nice look at The Boardwalk, Soren. We really wanted to do it the one time we were at WDW (spring'87), but the BW was all (literally) booked up for a huge convention of some kind/type. Pity we never tried again on any future visits. It looks great. And by the way - why hasn't (ahem) D-e-r-e-k tried to 'borrow' that beeyootiful little Loop Coaster Model and add to it to his (probable) already visual themeing in his....bar? Yeah Derek, why HAVEN'T you tried to get this little suckah? Looks perfect for shooters, although I have NO IDEA why......hee hee hee. -

Your little vid looks great, by the way. Hey - you just saw it running and grabbed what you could, at that moment. Good job! -
Hmmm. More a 'sad' post, rather than a 'rant' one... but hey.... Just had a thought (after a series of random ones, but leading to...). Thought about Rat Tums. Only knew the little guy for a short time, first year I was here at the site. Sad post.
