Had my new Disney attractions book (written by Jason Surrell) waiting for me, when I returned home from the TPR Japan 2007 Tour.... Oooo goody goody!!! Covering all the Disney parks' mountains, from the Matterhorn to Expedition: Everest, and everything in between, including some not immediately thought of, like Blizzard Beach for example. Mmmmm. (p.s. The second line under the main title says "Imagineering at its Peak") Sweet, What a nice welcome home gift - even though I paid for it already, heh heh - from the TPR Japan tour.

BUMP with a BONUS PIC! I happen to LOVE Scary Teddy from NBC, right? Well, I just glanced over to the right of the desk here and there, leaning against one of my computer speakers was this one (of a collection of) pin I have, from an NBC/HM series, with Teddy playing the grand piano and Sally intently listening in... And suddenly YOIKS! There's the whole scene in my head at TDL, one of the first scenes we glided by in our Doom Buggies. Kool! And awesomely random to be reminded about, eh? Pic attached is a bit fuzzy but you can make them both out - and the piano, too. My little buddy on the left there, bashin' the ivories with Sally in rapt attendance? ..... Rapt? A bit of a clearer image of same pin. -

Edit: YOU were Red Dawn Awesome to see on the trip, and spend some quality (hiccup) time with, Mr. puppet! Glad you were able to make this nutty journey with us. Hey - you going for Europe? -

Actually there is quite a list of attractions and, uh.... things we found and dared to go on (see: Off-Pavement Gokarts here in previous RobbPost? ) and live to go on and on about it/them. But definitely agreed they were not possible for the USofA. Even the way we got belted with water on Splash Bandit could be cause of a possible lawsuit, depending on how wet, etc. blah blah. And Canada (where I live) wouldn't be much better on these things - following Big Bro etc. I keep hoping, though. But hey, we got over whatever happened, and wanted to ride more! -
Listening to my CD of the original Tokyo Disney Sea daytime spectacle watershow... The Legend of Mythica A wonderful daytime surprrise, watched on Friday afternoon, Sept.14/07. And then there was BraviSEAmo! to come, later that evening.... Here's the case of the CD of that daytime TDS watershow, The Legend of Mythica. Incredible and spectacle --- and wet, too!

You went in groups of four, to an area, and when the bell/buzzer/whatever went off - you started shooting like crazy at whatever targets popped up - not the hostages though, har har - then you rushed into the next room/target area and repeated the same thing. Guns were electronic , killing hostages was seriously OMG crazy, and it was a good workout for most of us, lol. In fact, this was one of the very few shoot-up attractions that didn't move us around in a ride vehicle. Hence, a good workout, heh heh. -
Near the end of the Japan Tour, I started to put a list together that said (to me), what was great or "the best" about doing all this insanity we did. Turned out there were tne pretty good things about it all, ot make note about it. With photos to show what I'm talking about. I shared The List with the group at our last din-din together, they enjoyed it, so I thought some more on it, added notes here and there... So here's the first three of my Top Ten, with some pix attached I hope you all enjoy looking thru. And three more will be posted in (what else?) three daysss.. #10 All The Parks on the TPR Japan Tour Whether it was that park that didn't give us any credits at all (better than Southport!), the park on the side of a mountain (location, location!) with the duck races and the icky animals zoo , or The Best Park Of Them All, every park in Japan had it's own uniqueness about it. #9 The Japan Yen = Cheaper Exchange For Us Shopaholics! I bought my first Huge Bunch of Stuff at Universal Osaka with a cc, then got a shock when several thousand Yen was not an On-Par equivalent on my cc update! Happy Dance for that! Even better with the US exchange, I betcha yes? #8 Japanese Transit and "That Little Rail Pass" Whether it was by trains, taxis or (bowing low to) The Bullet Train, Japanese getting-around was excellent, efficient and ONTIME for 99.99% of the time (Typhoon f-ups notwithstanding, eh?) And The Pass of the Tour Gods (that's us!) kept us on the move w/o too much worry and care about a lot of tickets to buy, etc. And Elissa & Robb would give us ca$h to cover other trains not covered by the pass, as well as the cabfare for between station and park(s). Awesome! Later, in three days with three more to post. Me and The Mouse. Got one of those silhouettes done on Main Street, in the morning at TDL. And the girl cutting it knew all about TPR! (shock) BTW, single view cutout (in main souvenirs shot) was a double 'bonus' I got in buying this thing. My First Japan Rail Pass. And still in pretty good shape too after all that touring around, lol. More of the same. Geez, I bought a lot of 'stuff' huh? Too many to comment on, but here's a look-see at (some of) what I ended up lugging back with me!

Central Park was the first park we visited that had, I remember, Our Very First Rastafarian Gift Shop! Eh, mon? Batman clone was fun, green tea (not pea, I learned my lesson, k?) soft serve was nice, that rifle shoot-up RUN THRU was insane, and what were they burning there, outside of the park? I have a pic of it, I will post later. Also, glad to see it wasn't me that was f-ing up posting pix here last night. I tried to get started on my Top Ten List but blah blah blah, no pix could be posted. Thanks for making me feel much better about that (I thought) posting mistake (ha) on my part. (whew) In the meantime, I will start to post my The List in a separate thread, then you can gather it together with the other eventual TRs everybody else will be posting, under one main page, in time. Thanks again Robb for the awesome updates. And now, GO TO BED! (P.S. I also want to give a shout-out to all closet Scary Teddy lovers around the world! I am a closet ST fanboy and Tokyo Disney Resort gave me ample stuff'n reason to add to the collection/insanity that is loving the little lightbulb-chomping fella, lol. See proof below...) And for proof further... My entire collection of NBC-ST pins on a single lanyard! Mmmmmm, Teddy. Here we are! All ready to get going on that personal Ten Best List of the Tour. Note that Teddy has his own ST here? Only the best for the best! -

Thanks, that did go through my head at first, but I figured it was better to ask, etc. I think Toshimaen is listed there and I've seen it, but it only lists one coaster credit ( the shuttle loop that was, interestingly enough, the coaster that was down for the day ) and there are four at this same-named park. -

hey all! Got back to Canada safe and sound, with several hours to re-live again! Have to love that flying back in time thing, heh heh. But - not finding a couple of parks and coasters for my tally list at CoasterCount.com and would really appreciate any help here finding them. Here they are: 1) Hanayashiki Park - first add-on park (and an old one too, opened in 1853!)several of us did before the "official tour" began. 1 credit. 2) Aqua Stadium w/Galaxy Express 999 coaster - at our first tour hotel, The Prince. 1 credit. 3) Wonder Rakutenchi park - a Jet coatser credit, those duck races, and a funicular railway to get us up to the park on the side of a mountain. 4) Toshimaen Park - last add-on park several of us did, before getting the airport shuttle to head home or to continue on to S.Korea. 3 (out of 4) credits. Thanks in advance for any help in this search - and my personal Top Ten List of the TPR Japan Tour is almost ready to post later tonight! -

Well, enough has certainly been said about Fuji-Q and "those coasters," except to say Pfffffffft! But for now, THANK YOU Elissa, Robb and Dan for making this the trip of a lifetime for me. I couldn't imagine how I could ever have gotten so much done, travelled to and through, and ridden, by planning it on my own. It boggles my mind (and wallet) how much we all got (and more!) for the two weeks we had touring together. Red Dawn Awesome, indeed. And once again - TOKYO DISNEY SEA ROCKS!!! (*my Top Ten List of the TPR Japan Tour coming up in a day or so*) -
The TPR Japan Tour I've been on now, is ending after this weekend... Boo - wah - sniff sniff - nuts.

Heide Park looks great, with it's coasters and that great looking raft ride. It is one of the Germany parks I am looking forward to on the Europe TPR tour next summer a) if it's on the tour AND b) if I get to do the tour, lol. Thanks for sharing your recent visit there. -

Eejanikia was really great for me too, but the wait time for it absolutely stunk. 3+ hours we spent waiting to go on it for myself and several others in line, and they kept adding, then removing a train of cars during our wait time in the station. NOT the best way to appreciate a coaster, let alone the park ops. But we held on and got the awesome ride that it was, lol. And we ended up calling it "Euthanasia" har har. And in our time on line, I thankfully had TPR snacks to devide up between me and my 3 ride amigos there. Not much, but better than nothing, at the time. And - my first Dipping Dots - ever! Not bad they were, for my first. More, as we all move along here, getting closer to the end of it all, or the S.Korea add-on, depending.... ***To Pete C. re: Hollywood Dream coaster at Universal - nice coaster, a couple of good air pops along the way and it was fun having the choice of music to listen to in your seat's speakers! -
Sorry to hear about no baby, for now. But good to hear no Iraq for now, too!

ZORB Rocked!!! Um... Actually, it rolled, lol. A lot. But the travel pathway was way too short. Could have used a few hundred extra meters (yes this country IS metric) of rolling forward-ness. Still, it was a very cool experience to do on the tour. That, and squid balls. -

A few here and theres from me, on the tour... It's been hot and humid, most of the time, but we're all coping with it okay. We certainly got to appreciate bottled waters and assorted other beverages, ice cream and soft-serve, and any place that had air conditioning, even in shops and places we weren't planning to buy anything in, lol. Splash Bandit at Yomuiriland was AWESOME! And that set me up for several future great flume rides, and big-drop chutes. Yes! Dark rides in alot of the smaller parks have been cheesy, indescribable, annoyingly cute, or just plain WTF. Take your pick or make up a combo, it all works, lol. ~ ~ ~ Robb, Elissa and Dan have been busting their collective butts to make sure we`ve been getting the best out of the tour, no matter what happens (i.e The Typhoon) that may change or alter our touring plans/schedule. Thanks guys - truly amazing and incredibly wonderful of you to take this on. Not to mention the awesome enormity of herding us all around and through the countryside and citysides of Japan. And - BULLET TRAINS ROCK! -
