  1. ^^ My oops. You're probably right, since you lived there, lol. I still thought I did see LJS at one time between here and Seattle. I do remember Skippers, too. And Ivars of course. Oh well. And ^ thanks for the link, Mark. Looks yummy indeed!
  2. Am pretty sure (after checking) that what was called Top Gun and now goes by "Flight Deck" at CA's Great America, was my first B&M. Around 1994, just after it opened.
  3. Last time I was there, was 2008 and TROY! was the new attraction there. My my, what a difference a few years make! Toverland is really moving along in it's expantion. The new area looks great! Looking forward to seeing future updates on The Magic Valley as they get closer to opening.
  4. ^ They were in Washington state, so I went to them, when I drove to Seattle and beyond. I liked that they were one of the first franchises to actually THEME their places! I remember docks and a boat, "moored outside" and wood beams and portals inside. Very cool theming for a fast food.
  5. Matterhorn Bobsleds at DL - 1963. And it wasn't a coaster!!! It was an "Alpine Adventure"! (I was 10 back then, single cars, left track was awesome!)
  6. ^ Bo-berry? I am fine with A&W, and we have enough indie places on our main shopping street here ("The Drive") that do burgers (and TONS of Int.fast food) as their main item. We even (now) have a fish & chips truck opposite the fresh fish store, LOL!
  7. "At Last" Etta James
  8. Looks like it just needs a bit of loving care and touching up, lol.
  9. ^ Well, at least we've done it. My group wasn't too thrilled about the whole thing, too. Would I go to it again? No. I would rather see "Philharmagic" again. Great report Chuck! At this Disney park, there really was enough time to see the small things done around there. IMhO
  10. 1972 (and on to 1994) a Jet Star 2 at Playland, in Vancouver called (I always loved this title) Super Big Gulp
  11. ^^^ The dirt piles look just lovely. And so neat and tidy, too!
  12. Geez! Just read, the most expensive McD's Big Mac on the planet is in...Venezuela! Over $9 for the burger! My my...
  13. Playland In Vancouver Canada would be a great park, to wrap one of these around and back. Definitely a somewhat different layout, with the way the park's laid out and all. Think rec - tan - gle.
  14. ^ Hmmm. Glad I got to try it back on the TPR 2009 Scadinavian Tour.... Man, I thought several of us were going to lose it, after that ride, LOL. Good times.
  15. This isn't a restaurant. No "15 minute late allowance" here. Face it. It's Disney. Wonder how poor DLParis is going to work out with enforcing it? And don't any and all TPR Tours start with Rule #1 - Do Not Be Late - Ever...? Just a thought on it.
  16. ^ And also, you look as if you are about to have your ear....invaded. By something diabolical, red,....and "somewhat pointy", lol. Great TR Divv. And good for all of you on (finally) getting all the credits there!
  17. ^ Oooooooooo. EDIT to add it almost looks like something out of a science fiction movie, LOL!
  18. A bus riding complaint... Why is it that some males who ride a bus, either in the two-seaters or with other people beside them, always sit with their legs apart? It's ridiculous to sit that way, considering the seat space is usually small as it is. Put your damned legs together, and make some space for other people to ride!
  19. ^ Thanks. What?!!! 0 inversions???!
  20. ^ My little buddy from Ocean Park, is sharing a chair with other theme park buddies of mine. I think there's five tours represented in this bunch, LOL! And then there's that red hot tamale of a banana - Chiquita!* Non-theme park, but who cares, really? *And banana daiquiris are a ma - zing! One of the newest members of The Chair Gang (there's 5 of them), is down there at the right.
  21. ^^ We've certainly got enough time to find out by next year's (?) tour, right? Mmmm meatballs. That said, is there a new children's coaster in that new land, that Liseberg's also building? That the video shows, near the end? Just asking.
  22. ^ Don't worry, Jason. We'll get ya on it, next year.
  23. I just read a part in the application of this "omni-watermover" system with a possible PoTC to it... The ship in the bubble up at the top of the concept art is supposed to be where the chain of boats is allowed to "drift here and there" while still being pulled across and into the "exit canal" of the bubble and go back to the channeled path. So, maybe they "add an extra boat's length", to let this thing happen, there? That looks very cool to me, no matter how the rest of it is done.
  24. ^^ & ^^^ Doesn't matter. (to me) It's Grona Lund!
