^ Have a great opening, Pontus! You certainly look like you're having a happy time on it. Here you are Pontus, with some of the group from last year's Scandi Tour. -

Whats The Weather Like Where You Live?

Sunny and clear sky! -
Very few dark rides I have been on, ever involve the "running into" other ride vehicles. Mr.Toad's Wild Ride at DL does this a couple of times. But still, it might be nice to come up with a theme that could involve "traffic" going towards and around each other. And then disappearing on to their solo route. Assuming they use a rail system. If it's trackless, then all bets are off, lol. Having more than one level to travel would be nice. Alice at DL does it nicely, a few other dark rides too, I know. But combine this with the suggestion above, and the dark rides could be really something to ride! And as well, adding outdoor portion(s) of the track too, would enhance the ride. A lot of big Carnival dark rides use outside as well as inside, no matter how cheesy they are. Have a high tech version of this facade, ( thankyou www.ukrides.info ) then turn the cheesy carnival classic into a new animal! (o;

Two things. First, that log flume ride was one of the trippiest videos I have seen. And second, the last part looked like you were on a wooden wing rider, LOL! -
But where's the coaster and ferris wheel? Great exciting trailer! And yes I agree, good to see B.D.Wong again on the screen. I had the joy of seeing him in his TONY winning role, in the play M.Butterfly (1989), on Broadway. He was incredible and I always hoped he would do well in the future. And..he did...and has!

Top 3 Roller Coasters From Your Birth Year
Nrthwnd replied to YOLO's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not as closed as you might think. It was relocated to Little Amerricka in Wisconsin. I rode it last summer, and it was incredible. Not just the ride itself, which was fun enough--but the operations, the atmosphere, the whole package combined to make it the absolute most fun I've ever had on a roller coaster. So there you go. Two are still running. Cool! Good to know. Thanks for the update! -
My, my. "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge is playing on the radio right now. Takes me back. 1979.

I had no idea the middle letters of the sign tilted just before the drop! I never noticed it, even when watching it. Too focused on watching the car itself, I guess. Great little effect, there. And a great reminder of what it was like, back in 2010. Even with the ker-chunk, lol! -
Top 3 Roller Coasters From Your Birth Year
Nrthwnd replied to YOLO's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Holy crap! I thought that the coaster at Hanayashiki Park in Tokyo was the only coaster I had, as well as the park itself opening in my birth year, 1953. And I had the good fortune to ride it a number of times, thanks to past TPR Japan tours. But I rechecked (Thankyou RCDB), and lo and behold...I got three!!! Flyer (Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto - now closed) Little Dipper (Kiddytown. Illinois - now closed) Roller Coaster (Hayanashiki, Tokyo - still running!) (There were actually only four, and the 4th coaster listed, was an "unkown" in... Guatemala!) -

The perspective from that first shot is amazing! It looks like all the rides/coasters are almost on top of each other. Great new photos! -
Great picks! There was the wooden mobius coaster in La Feria park, Mexico City. Montana Rusa. It had two "tunnels" through the wooden structure with no more than wood panels on either side of the walkway. And if you stayed there for a few minutes, at least one train would come roaring overhead. I don't know if this would count, among steel coasters, but it was the one I remembered.
