  17. Yes, I am being self-indulgent. No, I am not ashamed of posting this. Now... WHERE'S MY CAKE??? When I turned 52 in 2005, I had ridden only 74 or so coasters! All that time, wasted. But the fates prevailed, I discovered Theme Park Review and everything changed. Since that time, I have Ultra-Dupled (Ultra-Dupled?) my coaster count amazingly. TPR - and Robb and Elissa - took me to countries and parks I never imagined myself going to, solo. And for this, I am grateful/thankful to the Alveys. By the way, when TPR was starting out, people would post threads for EVERYTHING! Including Happy Birthdays to members. That's how I got one. And so, I decided to BUMP this thread, and share one photo from each tour I have been on with TPR (with the two-parter tours combined), that made me feel happy, great, awesome to be on the tour. No matter what or who (besides myself, natch) is in the pic, this does not represent all the feelings of that entire awesome tour. For that, I would need three (or several) photos. Easily. So, here they are. And Happy Birthday to Me! AND a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to TPR Members, who also share this day: Wiltsu - coasterphobe - carm - ederlan - bradw73 - Gekkie76 - rabid disney - djolivier - iandownunder - seasonpass_Doug - Janster - JR Villain - andrea - Vekoma-Koma - coasterman - josephcarter - petermetzger - kidcoaster 2 - chasedaniel - Tobydaniel - Dominic12 - tjr154 - Backroadbridge - plrock - Helix123 - mmaghirang25 - xXxChiiElricxXx - UltraRobbie - Intamin_coyote Cake for you, too! 18. ^ That's why I'm personally not planning to go there until "maybe" 2020.* Let everything settle in, and work out the bumps and squeaks (sorry Mickey) in the resort. They might have even added another attraction by then, too. And I just remembered, HKDL won't be opening their Iron Man Experience until 2017. And then, there's all that stuff going on around TDLR... *Unless TPR goes there before I do, lol.
  19. ^ This is just observation from my past visits to Knott's, but... Knott's Beary Tales - Total immersive ride with characters, areas, soundtrack, everything! Kingdom of the Dinosaurs - Mostly all about landscaping, and where to place the next dinosaur. Voyage to the Iron Reef - Screens. (What to me it's all about, from what I have read.) And I bet the Iron Reef setup will now cost umpteen dollars more than Beary Tales did, lol.
  20. ^ Well, post something TODAY, and you've then got a chance at winning one! As Robb put it - "Select a topic... POST!"
  21. D: Dave (1993)
  22. ^ That's great! But I am seeing that no one is using a float tube of any kind. Is that not allowed? If it isn't, too bad, as I think the ride would go much better with an float tube (of some kind) to ride through it.
  23. The waterpark looks great! And I love the "bear scare" in the lazy river cave. Does that river go all around the park, so just in a part of the park, only. Thanks for sharing the Opening Week photos!
  24. A new blue waterproof wallet, with DALEKS all over it! About $18 Cdn.
