^ Oh, me too! I love all the behind-the-scenes part of theatre. I used to do shows (amateur & prof) here in Vancouver, and was always interested in how they were putting together the sets and costumes, special effects, etc. Great stuff, and I never get tired of finding out more. Then, we see these great tours of productions, and I am always looking forward to what they do (or don't do) production-wise. ie. trap doors, rotating stages, things that fly in and out, etc. But I sure miss going to New York and seeing these shows in their original theatre. With all the bells and whistles going! By the way ~ If you want to see a really cool "quick change" check out the number that TOOTSIE did on the 2019 TONY Awards. (Then count the seconds, between "Michael" leaving the stage and "Dorothy" appearing. Less than a 1/2 minute, which I find incredible for that kind of a change! P.S. Found the link to it! https://www.facebook.com/TheTonyAwards/videos/tony-awards-2019-tootsie-performance/351106818931752/ And Santino Fontana won the Best Actor in A Leading Role in A Musical TONY, for this role. P.P.S. There's an interview with Rob McLure on www.broadway.com - and he talks about the number of "suits" he has depending on how fast he has to change, etc. Go to the site, and SEARCH for him. The interview should still be around. Rob McLure (Mrs.D) and the kids. Photo courtesy of Good Morning America.

Broadway.com just released new info. about Mrs. Doubtfire:The Musical... The entire cast Act 2 Finale. Rob McClure is 'Mrs.D' He also portrayed Charlie Chaplin, several years back. And he played 'Alec Baldwin' in the recent "Beetlejuice: The Musical (The Musical, The Musical)" too! Photo from www.Broadway.com

^ So, how was Jim Carrey in this one? Loved the 'stache from what I've seen in trailers! But then again.... Whoah! When did he have time to grow this?

"Mrs. Potato Head" has just left the Toy Story shop. Estelle Harris..... Mrs.P and the "MOTHER of George Costanza", has passed away, at 93. Loved her, yelling and all, lol.

^ I remember the one at Tivoli in Copenhagen, being pretty aggressive in it's cycle. Only rode it once and that was e-nough! -

Am now returning to an incredible LIVE recording, in it's entirety, of DREAMGIRLS In Concert, which happened two weeks after 9/11. They decided to go on with the concerts. And record them. And everybody is so glad they did. The entire score is raw and awesome. So involving, from The Stepp Sisters' entrance, to the Grand Finale, with ALL the Dreamgirls together, including Effie. I actually saw the original Broadway cast of Dreamgirls, in November of 1982. After their TONY Awards wins. And everybody was still in it, save for a smaller part. And it ended up being like a Revival Meeting that night. Very memorable. Anyway, this is an unbelievable concert recreation of an entire musical score, beginning to end. Loved it, every play! Find a copy if you can. Worth the search. AAAAAA+ And here's how the 1982 Tony Awards went, with this End-of-Act One stunner on tv. Jennifer Holiday giving her all, to show why she earned that season's Best Actress TONY!

^ Doom Patrol is worth getting into, and paying attention to, for some really great scenes. And situations. And each other, heh. And by the way .... the brand new season (#3) of Umbrella Academy debuts in June, on Netflix. Which also brought up "the question" in my mind. What are they going to do, in dealing with Elliot's new ..... being? Or they might jus BS something, and everybody just goes along with it, and life goes on at The Academy, lol. SPOILER ALERT!!! Remember how Season 2 ended? Elliot "could be" in that other group of students, who also have powers, etc.
-
Not our absolute fave, but ..... wish there was more seasons of Doom Patrol. We loved the craziness of it. And all the characters were impressive enough, to keep track of them all. Even when they went into Backstories, etc. And especially ....... <sighs> ..... Danny The Street. What a cool, totally unusual, "LIVE Character" in the series! Loved DtS. Also, we're very much looking forward to the new 3rd season of The Umbrella Academy, now with Elliot Page in it.

^ Really enjoyed Nightmare, as it was such a unique indoor ride. And there's not many of these in the world, from what I've seen. I knew about the ride setup itself, for several months, but I never thought I would ever ride one. Which made it extra cool, at Tusenfryd! Loopen, and what used to be Nightmare. ^ Thanks Bert! But honest .... I'm not "quite there" yet. Almost, at 69, hee hee.

Well, today is The Day I advance a year. So be it. It's even making me post in the wrong thread! (See Fave TV Series) But I wish lots of happiness and best wishes to all who share this birthday with me ....... and thereabouts. Best to all, who enjoy getting older, year after year (ha!).

^ Where is The Dungeon walk-thru located, in the park? And is the Firehouse still the same indoor attraction it was, before? I've been there twice and pretty much know most of the layout over that mountain! Including (ugh) Loopen. Even with the new changes and additions since my last visit there (2014). Back then - this caught my eye at Tusenfryd. Then, I laughed out loud, when I saw you could charge your 25 kr on credit, LOL. -

^ Man, that is a - lot - of colors there! Almost too much visually, for myself. Rainbow Overload! But that's ok. The kids will love it all! The upper courtyard area looks cool. Cafe looks awesome ...... Buffet! By the by, does this hotel have a pool/spa/fitness gym of some kind/shape/size here? I'm just curious, thanks. (If it was in the video, then "as old as I am" .... I missed it. And that's my excuse.) -
My 69th birthday is tomorrow. Feeling 'okay' about it. And David will be 75 next week. And he seems to be doing fine with his body and health. But with everything going on next month, planning for the occasions is tricky.
Not only our two birthdays to enjoy, but Earth Day (Apr.22) will be our 50th Anniversary together. Truth! Not legally 'married' in any form or fashion. But after that many years (started in 1972).... c'mon give us a bit of slack, hmm?

"Just Found Out:" I'm in two A&W burger commercials, right now! In Western Canada. And since the first broadcast week has past, suddenly "Didn't I see you?"s come from out of the woodwork, locally. Much fun. And still a week to go, before the 2-ad campaign ends. EDIT To Add: (as of May 8th): My income tax return, got me nearly $40 MORE than I had calculated, and submitted. Woo Hoo! Add to that, that 'they' (A&W) paid me another rather large amount (to me) of $ late April, as a 'buyout' thing, I learned. I was shocked, then immediately overjoyed. Now, I am happy to report, my two credit cards will nearly be almost 'nil,' by the time summer comes around. Happy Happy Joy Joy!

omgomgomgomgomgomg! Me and David just found out, on tv, that A&W has released a second 15+ second spot for the Teen Burger ad! (Which ends April 3.) And I'm in that one, too! Cool. Will post it as soon as I can find it. Or if somebody else, locally, sees it .....? And just earlier today, I showed David the first (of the two) commercial I was in! We hadn't seen it on tv, to this date, so I figured enough time had gone by, etc. So seeing this second one together, was extra cool!

Our final meal/dinner at Cafe Mickey's was fun, I remember. Sorry to see it go. Me and The Mouse at Cafe Mickey's. End of the TPR 2008 Europe Tour. Me and The Alvey Family at Mickey's. Which includes a very impressionable 1 year old.
