^ Hey for us 'owned' owners, EVERY DAY is National Pet Cat Day EDIT: Felt immediately guilty, seeing you and yours, but we haven't taken any shots of Her since the year began! And so, here's a couple of Her, taken a few minutes ago. I begged for a face shot, but She was bored, and didn't want to bother. Cats Rule. First spotted, "sunning" in Her Own Way. Face Time? Uh .... no, not now. And Her Word Rules. I'll get Stella in a better mood, another day.

^ Heh heh, maybe they'll enclose the whole thing, like they did/do at Walibi Belgium. Switch track added, sounds good. EDIT To Add: On second thought, that would be a hell of an eyesore, if done that way. Not in Knott's. Best left open and exposed. "Might of been fun." to see how they'd handle Jaguar's "threading the needle" so to speak ...? Big ole hole there, right.

^ Impressive design. With all the Efteling 'filagree' (is that even a word?) on it. Looks lovely. -

^ Yeah, our last visit there in 2015, the Village was only good for staying out of the (then) rain, lol. The Disney Store was good, like it's U.S. versions. And Annette's was fun for the atmosphere and an awesome amount of fries, I remember. Hope everything works out in the ultimate all-over re-design of the place. We hope to return there in a year or so. Like I said - a LOT of fries for one order of them. Annette's ~ Sept.22/15. Random "theming", back then. -
Spending this weekend in town, as is the proverbial "stay-cation" here. I keep bitching about not having many friends any more, and then a bunch of us 'old queer guys' get together every spring and just "be downtown" so to speak. Think there's nearly 8 of us left. Out of a dozen or so, "way back when." We pick a hotel, stay in town, and just be "tourists" in our own city. Easy! Eat out, see a movie together, troll the bars, lol. It's only a couple of days, but I do look forward to it every year. EDIT: (Monday) Great weekend! Just got back home. Saw "Spiderman" at a downtown theater. Five of us hadn't seen it yet! Surprise, Surprise!

^ True, and before Chicago they were apparently in Edmonton, Alberta, of all places, before (or after) Chicago! Totally missed that. It's the "next province over" for us, here. Kool you got to see it pre-Broadway! We're hoping a tour comes by in a year or so, since we're still 'hanging on' to the 2019-2020 tour schedule that got halted back in we all know when. And finally we get HAMILTON in May! The rest got pushed back to this fall AND next spring!!! Timing, huh?

Recent beer purchase ... along with a most excellent, Sushi Bento Box! I do prefer Sapporo Beer over Ahsahi. No matter. It's still a good one. Along with a lot of excellent sushi and tempura! And some warm sake' too. Mmmm.

^ Oh, me too! I love all the behind-the-scenes part of theatre. I used to do shows (amateur & prof) here in Vancouver, and was always interested in how they were putting together the sets and costumes, special effects, etc. Great stuff, and I never get tired of finding out more. Then, we see these great tours of productions, and I am always looking forward to what they do (or don't do) production-wise. ie. trap doors, rotating stages, things that fly in and out, etc. But I sure miss going to New York and seeing these shows in their original theatre. With all the bells and whistles going! By the way ~ If you want to see a really cool "quick change" check out the number that TOOTSIE did on the 2019 TONY Awards. (Then count the seconds, between "Michael" leaving the stage and "Dorothy" appearing. Less than a 1/2 minute, which I find incredible for that kind of a change! P.S. Found the link to it! https://www.facebook.com/TheTonyAwards/videos/tony-awards-2019-tootsie-performance/351106818931752/ And Santino Fontana won the Best Actor in A Leading Role in A Musical TONY, for this role. P.P.S. There's an interview with Rob McLure on www.broadway.com - and he talks about the number of "suits" he has depending on how fast he has to change, etc. Go to the site, and SEARCH for him. The interview should still be around. Rob McLure (Mrs.D) and the kids. Photo courtesy of Good Morning America.

^ So, how was Jim Carrey in this one? Loved the 'stache from what I've seen in trailers! But then again.... Whoah! When did he have time to grow this?
-
"Mrs. Potato Head" has just left the Toy Story shop. Estelle Harris..... Mrs.P and the "MOTHER of George Costanza", has passed away, at 93. Loved her, yelling and all, lol.

Am now returning to an incredible LIVE recording, in it's entirety, of DREAMGIRLS In Concert, which happened two weeks after 9/11. They decided to go on with the concerts. And record them. And everybody is so glad they did. The entire score is raw and awesome. So involving, from The Stepp Sisters' entrance, to the Grand Finale, with ALL the Dreamgirls together, including Effie. I actually saw the original Broadway cast of Dreamgirls, in November of 1982. After their TONY Awards wins. And everybody was still in it, save for a smaller part. And it ended up being like a Revival Meeting that night. Very memorable. Anyway, this is an unbelievable concert recreation of an entire musical score, beginning to end. Loved it, every play! Find a copy if you can. Worth the search. AAAAAA+ And here's how the 1982 Tony Awards went, with this End-of-Act One stunner on tv. Jennifer Holiday giving her all, to show why she earned that season's Best Actress TONY!

^ Doom Patrol is worth getting into, and paying attention to, for some really great scenes. And situations. And each other, heh. And by the way .... the brand new season (#3) of Umbrella Academy debuts in June, on Netflix. Which also brought up "the question" in my mind. What are they going to do, in dealing with Elliot's new ..... being? Or they might jus BS something, and everybody just goes along with it, and life goes on at The Academy, lol. SPOILER ALERT!!! Remember how Season 2 ended? Elliot "could be" in that other group of students, who also have powers, etc.
-
Not our absolute fave, but ..... wish there was more seasons of Doom Patrol. We loved the craziness of it. And all the characters were impressive enough, to keep track of them all. Even when they went into Backstories, etc. And especially ....... <sighs> ..... Danny The Street. What a cool, totally unusual, "LIVE Character" in the series! Loved DtS. Also, we're very much looking forward to the new 3rd season of The Umbrella Academy, now with Elliot Page in it.
