  1. Listening to the original cast recording of a great musical, finally coming to us next spring....WAITRESS. Wish it was the Broadway cast I am listening to, now. But it seems to be a no-star show, which is great for tours, etc. Still, I have loved all the roles that Jessie Meuller has done to date. I just wish her first original show (?), the revival of On A Clear day, You Can See Forever, was kept on a cast cd. She got her very first BIG notices, and her first TONY nom in a supporting role (Belinda). I would think that would be enough for a recording, considering I have cds of musicals that lasted less than one week. And Clear Day went for several months! wtf?
  2. I would suggest to you, to go through the castle, and hit the three dark rides on the right: Peter Pan, then Toad, then around the corner is Alice...and after that, you are just a few steps away, from the queues for The Matterhorn! Btw... Left side > Right side. The other two dark rides, Snow White and Pinocchio, were basic walk-ons when I was last there. But the others had long lines. And beyond The Matterhorn, is Tomorrowland! After Alice, this is all that... ahem .... Matters. (o; (Sept.13/16)
  3. The rumor mill has spewed forth another EXPANSION idea, to the Studios, once the first phase is finished and running (Marvel; Frozen; Star Wars)... Now they're suggesting that the new ZOOTOPIA being planned for Shanghai DL could be a contender clone for WDS as well as "the above." Besides CARSLAND and PANDORA already suggested as Phase 2 expansion lands. Possible I guess.
  4. Last time I was there, the Magic Mornings were on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For Disneyland.
  5. ^ Wow, very cool. I always remembered seeing that mini golf course, with all the "buildings" sticking up and all. But sadly, in all the visits I made around there, I never went in and played a round. Great look at all of it, thanks!
  6. ^ Wellllll, sometimes two pix (+ more?) is better than one.
  7. Just a reminder, and the trailer was a-maze-balls I remember. Definitely for all those "serious" theme park freeks, like you & moi! I honestly want to get the 3D Blue Ray DVD of this, when it's released.
  8. I remember way back in Sept.2016, when I attended the West Coast Bash back then, I went a day early to Knott's, but didn't ride GhostRider (until the ERT we were going to get during our " WCB Day" there) that day. However, I did note the sign at the queue entrance, stating the coaster not opening until 11 am that day. Could be a regular scheduling thing with it, from Knott's. Me and my #700. But not running till 11 am that day. Sept.09/2016.
  9. ^ Since things happen in threes, it seems.......how about a Tsumani on the Japanese coastline? I kid I kid I kid. But I am so glad I missed out on the earthquake. The typhoon scare (back in 2007?) was stressful enough for myself. But we persevered, with Elissa at the helm and made it through an amazingly tense evening!
  10. What's going on now at the Resort, till the end of March.... Duffy - 35th Grand Finale - Pixar Playtime happening! (Collage thanks to tdrexplorer.com)
  11. Even though I myself, have been four times to Japan (four times? omg), it's always an adventure reading through the memories of someone else who has been there, too. No two TRs are ever the same, truth! Especially when it comes to Japan. And indeed, 7/11s in Japan are very awesome places to find food and drink! Looking forward to your Universal visit!

  14. Note to self: Check out Tropical Hideaway when in DL this coming September. Thanks for another awesome TR of all that's happening during the Lunar New Year celebrations! Between the merchandise, the food....and the food....I'd be broke just after walking into the park, LOL! But well fed, too. Great shots of everything there, you covered. Thanks for sharing it all. Happy Lunar New Year Everybody!
  15. This new Forest Being at Efteling reminds of a couple of other tree characters in film... What's new in Efteling. That Apple Tree - "Wizard of Oz" - just before they run into Tin Man. Disney's Babes in Toyland ~ "...this is the Forest of No Return..."
  16. Great for putting this together again, you guys! I'm creating my list, several pages at a time. And I am really having a tough time, trying to remember which Asian parks we went to in the TPR 2012 China Tour. I'm pretty much leaving them out, as I just can't remember parks' names, to what coasters were where, etc. Getting old has it's crap.
  17. ^...Now with CLOWN NOSES!
  18. From the "Something I just Found" Dept... A proper overhead view of the full Pacific National Exhibition's (i.e. PNE) grounds. Things to note: All of PLAYLAND is on the right of the photo. 9 acres. (Eventually) to be doubled, by including the top right hand corner parking lot. (I hope) The treed area and pond in the middle was actually MORE PNE space several years ago. Had an outdoor performance space with tiered seating; and three connected buildings devoted to BC's History; Economy; Hobbies; and a GI-normous plywood map of BC that was the centrepiece of the buildings/pavilions. The Challenger Map, 1954, BC Building, PNE. In gorgeous plywood-painted colour! (o; (BTW the red cable is the Canada-US Border)
  19. I just hope they keep the only thing that (what I found in it) represents Ca-na-da. At least I think this reps Canada. (o;
  20. This really reminds me, I need to get on that Pal-A-Round ferris wheel next visit! Didn't do it last visit (2016), and those shots you took from it, are awesome! Also, that shot of the wheel reflected in the water, is a really cool one.
  21. It's nice to have a little INSTANT WIN, once in a while...
