  1. A bunch of bunnies is a FLUFFLE! This is true!
  2. In that "hour of unknown," they should put in that fake-drop, that Blue Fall does (did?) in Sea Paradise Park in Japan. Then after that few feet of "falling," it slowly lowers to the ground. That should still shake up a few people on it, lol.
  3. Mmmmmmm gravel and dirt, cement and pieces of wood.....and a Skillet and The Bread! Thanks for the update from there, Andrew.
  4. ^ Yup. "Strike A Pose!" My 2016 visit to DLR.
  5. I'm still trying to wrap my head around..."like Magic Mountain, when it was it's own thing." The confusion is highlighted. Do you mean, when MM didn't have (current) IPs in it's theming, and had it's own mascots (Wizard and Trolls) for it's original theming? That was "it's own thing?"
  6. A new toaster oven, a few months ago, just before Christmas. The old one finally gave out, after (how many?) years of service. When was the last time you stuck your tongue out, at someone?
  7. Lover Come Back - City and Colour
  8. ^ Better than a Flat Ride! It's a Musical Flat Ride! Ah, the old Melody Train.
  9. ^ TWO Giant Swinging Ships they got! (Unless they got rid of one...) TPR 2013 Japan Tour.
  10. ^ Um and.... ....what's this got to do with the Strawberry Festival?
  11. I didn't really know where to put this, so... A baritone opera singer was interviewed. Apparently, he's one of the best in the world. The interviewer kept asking him popstar-related questions, when finally the singer asked... "You're talking to the opera singer. Why would you bring me down to your swamp?" I burst out laughing at that quote. Dmitri Hvorostovsky a/k/a "The Siberian Tiger" (R.I.P.) is the opera singer in question, here.
  12. ^ Well, thanks. I do what I can, for what I love in this world, heh. In the mean time, this is coming out, as well as a possible Brdwy transfer from Jolly Old London Town! The lead was in Bring It On! as the "opposition." P.S. Saw the Come From Away tour, this past Wednesday...wow, whatta wonderful show! It's so continuous, you have this pent up BRAVO! in you, till the absolute end of the show, and then it all just erupts from the audience! It runs without intermission, and understandably so. A steller touring cast, wonderfully written, and the score is just amazing. But - if you watch it closely, you will see WHY this won the 2017 Best Director TONY (over Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen's director) back then. Totally deserved! And, they had the REVOLVING STAGE for the tour! A MUST SEE Show, if it travels through your town. Edit to Add: There's a great review about the show too, in our local paper... https://vancouversun.com/entertainment/local-arts/theatre-review-come-from-away-is-better-than-spectacular It really is amazing for this kind of musical (non-Big Production) to still be a hit, almost two years of existence, on Broadway! As a recent quote stated....."I am so glad Newfoundland joined Canada in 1949." Streaming first on Amazon.com, then hopefully, the CD drops soon after that. Now on it's first North American Tour! YOU MUST SEE THIS MUSICAL!
  13. ^ Oooh, great Playland News! Thanks for posting your photos! I thought of getting over there before the season started. And I might eventually, now that you posted these shots. But - I enjoyed the wave swinger. A big rush and great speed for it, too. Oh well. Change is hap - hap - hap - happening at Playland! Or are they putting Wave Swinger in a more permanent foundation, lol? Actually, on closer look, it looks like all they've done, is remove the WS. They could be widening the walkway, by just removing the ride, itself. Eep. EDIT: I just checked the list (w/thumbnail-pix) of all the rides in Playland. And the Wave Swinger has definitely been removed from it. Hmmm. One of my last shots of Wave Swinger, last season. Sept.09/18.
  14. Here. I just love this video. And it fits perfectly here! Kind of. It all starts just after the 3:00 mark.
  15. I am in love with Ria Mae & The Nova Scotia Symphony and their take on Clothes Off! It's just wonderful, so here's the LINK to it.... (the song starts at 3:00) I found out there's now a third version of this song (with hip hop in it), but for my $ this is the best of the 3, including the original release!
  16. Pop Pop Pop Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits!
  17. Just bought and printed up, my 2019 Playland Season Pass. I'm still HMMMMPHing a bit about it, and wish I had known before the Holiday Season, to save some $$$ on it. Oh well. Five visits (at the new "Senior Single Day" cost - $19.95) and it's all paid for. And I did get a full season FREE last year, when I just turned 65. Still. Makes me wonder why suddenly, after all these years, they now tacked on a charge for us coaster loving seniors. Whatever. I'm set for the year. www.pne.ca
  18. Back To Black Amy Winehouse
  19. Wow. Just found this out. Jan Michael Vincent. Sad to read.
  20. ^ Never been, but from all that I've read here at TPR....two days would be better for a Dollywood visit, IMhO. If you're doing the park for the coasters and thrill rides only, well then probably one day would be enough.
