  1. Brittney, love the Boysenberry lipstick and nail polish! So festive and thematic! Great TR of all that is Boysenberry and awesome, guys! I already felt I'd gained 5 pounds, before posting this, hah!
  2. ^ I have the feeling, that if they try and do this in the Paris parks, there will be another Bastille Day Riot, this one against Disney. As for the Asian parks....who knows? P.S. Note...it was the Paris park that fought for the right of male cast members to sport facial hair...the old rule now feels/looks so antiquated....AND serving alcohol within a Magic Kingdom. Any Magic Kingdom. Paris started the trend. Can't wait to see Mater again, this September in DCA! (taken Sept.15~2016)
  3. Add to the above, Knott's Hotel runs (still runs?) a pretty accurate and easy shuttle to the Disney Resort, too. You put your reserves in advance at the front desk with the driver, in between his scheduled drives. Pretty easy I found it. And it's a free service too, so don't forget to tip your driver! Ours was wonderful with little stories about all the parks. Stuff I had never heard, before! And I am a dedicated OLD Disney Parks Geek, too! Me and The Snoop in the Hotel Lobby! He visits you, REAL ~ EARLY! (o:
  4. ^ Been there. Felt your pain.
  5. One can only hope. EDIT: It's just occurred to me, that this could well be the start of the transformation of Playland. I mean, besides this happening (Corkscrew & Wave Swinger going gone), they will, for the first time, start charging seniors who visit the park ($19cdn). It used to be totally free during the entire Playland Season. They paid, of course, for the Fair itself in late August. But for Playland...nada. Till now. And there's the new Seniors Season Pass as well ($48cdn). Ah well. These are the biggest changes that Playland has done in a long long time (ride removal and prices), so something must be ~ could be coming up, pretty soon. I still miss the awesome Gift Shop they had at Playland, right where you entered the park..... and you would go into, just before you left the park. A perfect location. What it was turned into, after it was closed up, at this location. At least they kept the top of it, in place. This is where they moved it to. Small cramped space. And then.... no more. )o:
  6. ^ Oh, I was just referring to them announcing anything new. Whether it gets built for this season or started for next season, I'm not too picky about that. * It'll be NEW! *Really REALLY hoping for an El Loco!
  7. ^ I wonder if they're going to announce anything before, or by the time Playland re-opens for the season, May 4th? And both attractions are still a part of the Playland online map, I found.
  8. ^ Yeah, I saw that last night, but the site was down here, so I couldn't post it. Well, all I can say about it is.... Finally! EDIT: Just checked, and on Roller Coaster Data Base, it is listed as CLOSED there. TPR visits Playland on May 16, 2014.
  9. ^ Yeah, well, okay then.
  10. ^ This, and I would like to add Six Flags:Mexico, too. Whatta great SF park, that was. HA! Just realized the Mexico park and this one (and the other SF:Texas park) would make a great (pardon) Six Flags:Tex-Mex Tour? EDIT: Start in Arlington, fly to Mexico(City), then fly back to San Antonio. I have nothing to do, in 2020 or 2021.
  11. Great shots of your afternoon, Bert! Wishing Playland(PNE) was like THIS as a home park, heh.
  12. ^^ I'll take Door #2 (Fright Feast) please?
  13. Glad to read they're giving some love to Thundercoaster. It was (and still is at this time) one of my fave wooden coasters, on the TPR Scandi Tours back in 2009 and 2014. And during the (quick and intense) Add-On Part of the 2006 UK Tour, too! Great coaster. Me in front on the left, with Peter(?). TPR 2006 UK Add-On Tour. THANK YOU to whoever took this awesome photo, back then!
  14. One of the fathers of the 20 children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting several years ago, has been reported to have committed suicide, a day or so ago. IMhO, "The right to bear arms" is a total joke in the U.S. Constitution. It's My Rant and I am entitled to it, regardless of where I live.
  15. It's not a complaint, but it's interesting to see that they put two coasters on the shirt, instead of just one of the two. That's it. Just an observe.
  16. ^ Honestly, anything at that park can become "rough" for one reason, or season, or another. Even the old Zola 7 (?) I rode in 2007 (indoor shooting-coaster-dark ride-whatever) and it jumped and bumped all over the tracks. The Mad Mouse was pretty "jolty", and still is, from what's recently reported. You just have to take your chances with Fuji-Queue and hope for the best. With the Fast Passes available, it is possible to enjoy it better, than without them. I don't think myself or Elissa (yes? no?) were that impressed with this one at Fuji-Q. TPR 2013 Japan Tour.
  17. ^ Oh I know that feeling, too. I've planned for overseas stuff, trying not to expect any thing to "happen" or "not up and operating" etc. It really is hard to make a call on when you want to travel. Especially from where you are, far far away. Even with online information to guide you, somewhat.
  18. Been way longer than I can remember, that I actually won any money on any National Lottery draw. But, as of last Friday night.... Matching 4 Numbers gets ya $20! (o:
  19. Just for information.... No Expectations = No Regrets. IMhO. Just enjoy the ride.
  20. ^ I will have the "Half 'n Half Rotisserie" (both the meat and the chicken) please? And skip the mac and greens. But keep the biscuit. Both look great!
  21. Damnit, missed this by a day.... Happy Birthday, Stephen Sondheim & Andrew Lloyd Webber! (Yesterday, the 22nd, for the both of them!)
