Tokyo Disney Resort Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Summer's now officially ON, and tdrexplorer.com has posted The Events that are within the All-Encompassing Summer Celebration at both parks. And one of them is for you Duffy Fans in DisneySea... And they posted a great photo op spot in TDS, too. Photo from Disney and tdrexplorer. ~ Duffys Sunny Fun photo spot in Cape Cod. ~ I love the pawprints on the pavement, lol! -
Great video of all of them, Robb! Can I assume these were assembled in no particular order? Otherwise, Alice > Peter for myself, personally. And Pinocchio...well, yeah. I do like Toad in the middle of them all. That said, I say, the rides on the right as you've gone through the Castle all work for me. And then beyond Alice, you get the Matterhorn to enjoy! Both sides! Thanks for posting the video mix, Robb. P.S. Now that we've found out (yes? no?) that Galaxy's Edge will not be included in Early Mornings at DL, our plan is exactly Do The Above: Ride the right-side attractions once we're through the Castle. Then after Alice, we ride both sides of Matterhorn, and then get to and wait with the crowd, waiting for GE to open at Opening Time. #hopingthatworksout p.p.s. I also read rumored...that after the 24th, the Critter Country access will be only for EXITing GE, at that time. You'll have to enter GE through the other two points. What - I read - as rumor. If so, I am sure it would eventually change to all 3 entry/exit points, because entering the forested GE from the forested CC would be so cool! A Greek calamari dish, that got more (ugh) "rubbery" as it cooled down. Never touched calamari again. What's the worst movie you've seen (in your opinion), that you walked out on? Ours was "Lawnmower Man 2".

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Nrthwnd replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
another World's Fair Trivia SideBar: If you look at the top of the photo, that white triangle you see, is the General Motors pavilion, which housed what is now Mystery Lodge at Knott's! It's first incarnation was as "Spirit Lodge" and got huge lines to see it, all through the fair's time (6 months). I only saw it twice, as it was just too long to wait for it, as wonderful as it was. You may now resume the "Last Coaster You Rode?" thread. -
Today is the first of (what will be called) my Park'n'Burger Days! Go to Playland for an hour or so, then head back to Belgian Fries for one of the burgers they offer, with a completed Fries Card that knocks several dollars off of anything I order from their menu. Hence, getting a burger at this time. I already had eaten (and LOVED!) their Ultimate Burger a few weeks back. I was hoping that I'd get that same MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM feeling with their Chicken Burger. Got that, and the fries get a dip, so I chose Scallion Green. And I also "schmeared" some of that onto the burger, too.... It was all delicious. Again. So I will continue this for a few weeks, trying their entire Burger Menu, with some $$$ knocked off. Saved me enough to have a nice Lager, too. And then come back to The Ultimate Burger, of course! http://belgianfries.ca/ #36 chosen. With Scallion Green dip. (o: Savoring my Lager, before my buzzer goes off. The view, today. Not too busy on The Drive. It's Here! Looks nice, moist and tasty. And....it was! Another burger 'thingie' for my collection, lol! Almost done. And...I did done finish it! Great burger. So that's 2 out of 2 Great Burgers, so far. (o:

Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread
Nrthwnd replied to Nrthwnd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A Windy Wednesday and.....It's Open and Swinging!!! Got into the park just after 1 pm, knowing it closes at 3. Lots of groups and organization's youngsters running and running around. And the Coaster train appeared down when I got into the queue for it. Maintenance was looking all over it, the queue was growing, and I decided to check back later. I turn around and OMG! Swinger is Open and running! With real people on it!!! So I got in line for the next ride, got a lot of photos taken, and then enjoyed a really fast (still) swings ride. But it definitely slowed down easier and lowered to the ground much faster, than my first ride on opening day. So I rode it once, and got back to Coaster, and everything was running again. In fact, after my third time on it, the queue was down so much by then, it was easy for four or more rides after that. But I stopped at three and 'noted' this for other weekday visits. Also, on my third ride on Coaster, I looked down towards the Corkscrew and noted banners across the fencing in front of it. So when I was about to leave the park, I headed over to Corkscrew and checked the banners out.... P.S. What wind there was from time to time, and there were a few strong gusts, caused them to stop running AtmosFEAR for the day. But all the other flats were open, except AF and Gladiator. Purple train's down for awhile. Will check back later. What's this? What's this??? Actual Real Life PEOPLE on Swinger? Wheee! Running again. And still running! Not many games opened at this time, due to lack of players. So no Ice Ball for me today. )o: Nice lights. Ooooooo signage! "Making Way for Some Thing Exciting" ... But first, they gotta sell Corkscrew! (o; -

We're not getting back to Tokyo Disney until (roughly) 2025? So thank you for all the photos and TR of both parks! It gets us that more excited to be eventually visiting there. -
My deepest sympathy goes out to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

I'm fascinated to see what happens, when June 24th rolls around. And by the way.... Happy 60th Birthday Monorail ~ Matterhorn ~ Submarine! I rode all three with my mom back in 1963, when I was ten! I'm pretty sure neither of us realized at the time, that we were riding an honest-to-goodness ROLLER COASTER when we rode Matterhorn. Both sides. And... we loved it! Both sides! But to this day, and many more visits...left side is still The Best Side IMhO.

This just in! I just discovered that one of Fuji-Q Highland Park's many unique coasters, this one, got it's train replicated, TOMICA-size! And it's not that expensive to buy either, on eBay. "DO-DO-DONPA!" Very cool this is! (o: And I got mine for under $15 U.S. With free shipping! And it would be awesome, if they made a Rainbow Assortment of these (6). (o: ...Like this colour perhaps, still? Photo by Pear, thanks!
