  1. Geez, been a week already? Today's Park 'n' Burger Day #3...uh.... burger is Belgian Fries' Salmon Burger. Served on a nice brioche bun, with lettuce, tomato, and a light tartar sauce. I enjoyed it, but I added some more of the tartar sauce I got with my fries. And that made it a bit more.... is "juicy"the right word? It would to me. And my usual lager complimented this burger & fries. http://www.belgianfries.ca View from the back of the place. My buzzer number. My view. View from the side patio area. Nice beer. Here it is! A bit lacking in seasonings - so I added salt and pepper to taste. Very nice burger. The salmon wasn't dry, and stayed moist thru the entire meal. This becomes #3 on my list, just above the Garden Burger, and below the Ultimate and Chicken Burgers. One more to try... The Beef Burger!
  2. Two new overhead shots of TDLR were published on a Japanese site, today. And upon closer look, it appears (to me) that the first photo is showing the PETER PAN section of Fantasy Springs in TDS being built. And you can just make out SOARING (and it's show building) in the middle of the second photo here. By the way, if these two photos were placed side by side, this would be an awesome panoramic shot of (most of) all the TDLR! Above the PP construction area, is where I believe/think that the Tangled section will go. And the entry pathway will enter between them. What I think/believe. (o: Thanks to whoever (you are) got these great overhead shots and posted them. Arigato! (o: Right in the middle there, is SOARING~Fantastic Flight. Opening July 23rd!
  3. ^ Sounds like you had a really great, non-stressful time there at the parks. I'm hoping for the 2nd week after Labor Day weekend, being nice and workable. But I'm betting that these are not blackout times for Major Pass Holders, during September. Then again, I am also hoping for the SOFT OPENING of Resistance, too.
  4. ^ Congrats on a great (near) #800!
  5. It's that day, today. Yay!
  6. Happy Canada Day! k.d. lang - constant craving
  7. A New Restaurant that seats only 150 people!
  8. "And then there was the day I forgot my camera..." Yeah, the above says it all about today. Idiot bear. So, here's the photos (what few there are) of my visit on Saturday. And for the record, today was literally half the crowd it was on Saturday. I got five rides on Coaster and could have stayed there through the (HOT HOT HOT) afternoon for more rides. But five was enough for me, for now. Another chance will come along, soon enough I am sure. And I also forgot to get myself one of them Beaver Tails (an oblong-shaped funnel cake) for today...because it was Canada Day of course! Happy 152nd Birthday, Canada! (And I'll try to remember, NOT to forget The *(%GRR#@s Camera next visit.) This was Saturday. But today was literally a "walk in". (o; More permanent wood structures for the gp. Still running today, too.
  9. ^ She's Jason Maier's groupie.
  10. Cool! Thanks for the explain. And I found a bag of them online.
  11. ^^ Okay. I'll ask. So what the heck are Beaver Nuggets?
  12. ^ It sure looked that way, back in 2012.... TPR 2012 China Tour. I did not ride this. Only took photos.
  13. Posted on the net...recent construction of Fantasy Springs in TDS... And about three weeks+ until SOARING Opens! EDIT TO ADD: From the photo I just posted below, this looks like it's possibly the start of the new PETER PAN section of Fantasy Springs. And not the hotel I first thought. Thanks to whoever took this and posted it online. (o:
  14. Before it closed, five years ago?
  15. ^ I loved some of his songs. He was a beautiful singer. Lost too soon, years ago. Pinch Me ~ Barenaked Ladies
  16. ^ Awesome you're wearing those SOCKS!!! They're doing it again Bert, for the Out Day at the PNE, Aug.29th. So I am very curious if they changed the design, somehow. Instead of just changing the date on the cardboard holder. Might I reserve you a pair if they are a different design? Here's me, trying to be artsy, using one of the (dirty) mirrors on Playland's Carousel. Didn't work out that well, as you can see... The better of the two shots I took. As I am eating my camera. June 14th.
  17. Meet my new Quarter Games Best Friend... PLINKO! I spent just one dollar in quarters today, and got 80 Prize Tickets! Way more than I get in three games of Ice Ball ($1 each game). (o: More photos to follow, after Monday's visit. A nice quiet easy ride, until the thing went full tilt on the LOUD calliope music, in the midst of a busy Saturday.
  18. ^ They must know it's our Canada Day Weekend.
  19. It's interesting with the "Points System" and all, to get food, etc. Definitely different, to me.
  20. Great TR, Bert! You have such a nice home park. I still enjoy seeing that cliff area that has the coaster running over and back up onto it. And the train that runs through a bit of it, of course. And of those three on-ride pix of the Rapids.... that third one I like the best, The rainbow person looks like they're going to hurl.....and the two behind you, look like they already are. Hurling. And then there's that zip line rider just passing by, lol. Thanks for sharing your recent visit there.
  21. ^ That meat looks sick, in the best possible way! Yum! And that's a great On-Ride pic!
  22. Hot, Hot, Hot ~ And Then Some, Today. Quick hour at the park today. Very VERY warm for June, truth! Got one ride (almost a 40 min.wait, again) on Coaster, with massive groups today, and a very nice, cool ride on The Wheel. And played some quarters games. And noted four flats down, this visit. Including The Beast and Beach Party...again. And took five pix. Enjoy. Purple, purple. Busy, busy. What's this? What's this? (beside the Climbing Wall) The metal box is turning into A POPCORN SERVER BOX! The Twins. Extra Pic! I later went to my Belgian Fries and had an "okay" Garden Burger (=brown rice + corn/spices).
  23. Today, Park'n'Burger Day #2, I went to Playland(PNE) for an hour, then went and had the Belgian Fries' GARDEN BURGER. Made from brown rice and spices, this wasn't too bad. It was a much thinner patty, thinner than either the previous chicken breast, or beef burger patty I've tasted. It had a hint of curry, which wasn't that strong. But, I did feel I needed to add a condiment or two, to make the taste better, than without. The chipolte mayo on it wasn't really 'there' for me. I had the Golden Mayo dip (it has curry in it, too) for the fries, so spread a bit of that on the burger, which appeared to perk it up taste-wise. Of the three I've had so far here, this is definitely #3 on the list. It's good, but not as awesome as the first two I had. Next visit: The Salmon Burger! My regular lager. This one had a cute bear pick through it. Good, but not awesome good. Almost finished. And...more bun than burger, for a change.
