  1. Hmmm. Getting close to......"Burger Time." But not today. Today is BBQed STEAK DAY!
  2. Awesome Holiday Report, Chuck! I need to attend more holiday periods, in some future parks, lol. Great stuff. Thanks.
  3. Confucious Say (?): Every Trip Report of Japan Is...Awesome. Awesome report Bert. I miss so much of what you've just seen, Tobu Zoo woo hoo! Great reporting. Love it all. Again and again.
  4. The Hobbit Trilogy Square Cut or Pear Shaped.......Diamonds?* *They're A Girl's Best Friend!
  5. New (IMhO) Truth: Moulin Rouge! is the Ultimate Mash-Up Queen of Jukebox Musicals. Any Jukebox Musical. So - many - many - many - honestly amazing mashups. And with all the new songs added in from recent times, I honestly am loving this Musical (cd) more and more! Karen Olivo as Satine in the New Broadway Musical MOULIN ROUGE!
  6. Our Final Hours in Disneyland It had to end eventually. Our time in Disney and at Knott's. But we didn't last-minute rush to ride rides or see shows. We just enjoyed being in the atmosphere of the place, simple. We took a second ride on Smuggler's Run and actually got the pilot seats again. But we gave them up to a couple with us, who had the Engineers passes, as we wanted to just shoot stuff, LOL. It was again fun, and we actually "collected" two of those power capsules this time 'round. And there was still so much to see in the queue, which didn't last very long, either. After Run, we headed back through Fantasyland, and went on another ride "down the rabbit hole" with Alice. I will never tire of that dark ride. And I still wonder why they never duplicated it in any other Disney Magic Kingdom in the world? After our Wonderland adventures, I got a third ride on the Matterhorn (thank you Single Riders queue), and then we went in search of.....fries. David had this wish to get some fries before we left, so we looked around a bit, and found them at the Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland. He was happy. After that, we just poked around, looking at theming, taking in the atmosphere of Main Street, USA. And after my getting a Starbucks coffee, we headed out of the park to the shuttle pickup for our final ride back to the Knott's Hotel. And started packing, for our leaving the next morning. Back in line for one more Smuggler's Run mission! (o: A better view of that abandoned card game. David and his fries. And my 1st (of two) coffee beverage. I miss the days when this performance stage used to lift up from the ground. For the Halloween shows we didn't see. (Photo by Disney) Striking. Bustling Main Street. One last look. 7 pm. Me, Groot and my 2nd coffee drink. And it's time to get to our shuttle pickup at 7:20. (DM) Bye Disneyland. Till we meet again, Disney California Adventure. Last night shots from Knott's Hotel. G'night. Early rising in the morning. We got a train to catch! One more adventure with Alice. One more ride for me on The Matterhorn, Right Side. (o;
  7. Back in early September, on The Incredicoaster in DCA. Two times. Single Rider line w/those 2 elevators! When was the last time you cleaned your refrigerator out?
  8. Two new photos of the ongoing Castle Renovation have been posted by HK Main Street Gazette, thank you! The second one is really beautiful to me, there in the darkness and setting sun. Perfect!
  9. Nearly finished listening to HADEStown and I am very very impressed. Much better than I expected..... And I nominate Patrick Page for the part of Elder Cohen, in the New (my thought up) Broadway Musical Leonard Cohen In Two Lifetimes It's actually two Acts of Life - 1st is his younger days - 2nd is his later years' successes. Hmmm? How about that casting idea? EDIT: And I just remembered! Have newly Tony-ed Santino Fontana as Younger Cohen! Easy! Great orchestrations and much of the southern style of music.
  10. ^ I just looked this cruise ship up.... wow. wow. wow. What an amazing ship! And you're right, stuff for all levels of travelers. Thanks for your instant review.
  11. Just listening to.... "I Don't Wanna Fight No More" (Act 1 Finale) ...followed by "Private Dancer" (Act 2 Opener) From the new Broadway Musical (London CD) TINA: The Tina Turner Musical. Sung by Adrienne Warren as Tina Turner. It's really amazing (and exhausting) how much of Turner's Songbook this actress has to perform...6 Performances A Week! Thankfully there's a capable Tina Alternate who does the Sat. and Sunday matinees. And after finishing listening to the entire cd, and knowing of (so far) one other lead actress in the musical category (Karen Olivo in Moulin Rouge! which I also finished listening to)....Warren's The Tony WIN. I would be shocked if she didn't. And then again, this is only two new musicals, so far. But for now..... it's Warren > Olivo. The London Cast Recording. Adrienne Warren repeated her role as Tina on Broadway.

  13. Chemainus and Roberts Creek.
  14. Just imagine....
  15. Just saw this earlier this afternoon. And for our popcorn $... Maleficent 2 > Maleficent 1
  16. ^ We were looking at those, and whatever we could see on the upper level, more than what was actually being sold in the place. And compared to the Market Stalls in the other area of the Outpost, this had some primo expensive stuff for sale, including clothing. Also, Dok-Ondar didn't move that much. Usually a side to side movement, then leaning forward to look at invoices, I guessed. And he was very quiet, too. I thought he would blurt out something loudly, but he never did when we were there. And compared to other shops we've been to (like DL's Emporium) it was freekishly quiet in there. Nothing above a whisper. Almost like a library (or a religious place) of some kind, heh. And ^^ thanks Bert for identifying two of those heads. I thought the TaunTaun was familiar, but I am a very poor Star Wars fan when it comes to trivia and remembering such stuff. It's the "age thing", probably. By the way, with all the "stuff" around Dok-Ondar's neck, I thought it'd be funny, maybe around April Fools Day (Apr.01), that somebody slip a pin lanyard around his neck, with Disney Pins all over it, lol. Paper Fast Passes collection, soon to be extinct in DLR. (rumor?)
  17. They'll lock it onto your head. Just a guess.
  18. omgomgomgomgomgomg! https://www.broadway.com/buzz/197614/follies-film-in-the-works-james-goldmanstephen-sondheim-musical-classic-to-be-directed-by-dominic-cooke/ I hope it all works out, and that it's as big a success as 2003 Best Film "Chicago" was. Here's hoping. The recent version in London, which apparently convinced Sondheim, it was possible for a film version. Finally!
  19. "Me and Bobby McGee" Janis Joplin
  20. ^ I remember riding The Galloping Goose a few years' back, on a previous visit. What was neat about it, was "the robbery" was only in the one car, so the "robbers" really spent a good while acting with everybody in that car. Sept.06/19. Didn't ride it this visit, sadly. Sept.08/19. The Big Guy, running a couple of days later.
  21. ^ And look at allllllllllll those capsule machines behind you, Bert! Great shot, too.
  22. Queen Bee - Botton's
