  1. Why are employees not allowed to share the attendance numbers? Just curious.
  2. Because there's no way B&M could ever build a launched floorless without chopping someone's leg off!
  3. This is how I felt about Green Lantern: But I also hate stand-up coasters
  4. I think any new theming/motif to that area will be milessss better than the wasteland it was before. I'm not expecting the most elaborately themed area in the history of amusement parks, but it'll definitely be an improvement Are they going to have shows in that theater now?
  5. A few weeks ago when I rode Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFDK When was the last time you took a test?
  6. A friend went recently and said it didn't look like they had done anything new. I would have been there too if I hadn't gotten in a car accident on the way I'm gonna go as soon as my car is fixed or I can secure a rental car and I'll confirm if anything new is done. I recommend going to Drench! as well! And FYI, it doesn't really drench you even in the close rows.
  7. Agreed. Also, B:TRs are clones and they are 2nd in my top 3 B&Ms with #1 going to S:KC @ SFFT. True but those wouldn't make sense for BGW because of Alpengeist.
  8. The carnival in my hometown often had a Zipper. It's by far my favorite flat. What I love about it is how you can get drastically different rides every time you ride it. Sometimes you're upside-down for an entire length of the ride, sometimes you're flipping like crazy, other times you're rocking forcefully back and forth. I also liked to rock the pod and see if I could get it to flip more, and the more I rode it, the better I got. IDK what the likelihood is of one of these becoming a permanent installation at a park, but I would love to see it happen! (Assuming the permanent installation was just as fun as the fair rides). The other day I saw a tiny carnival here that had a Zipper, I was shocked. However, I didn't get a chance to ride it that day and the next time I drove by, it was gone.
  9. And the more I hear statements like this, the more I anticipate for this ride. BGW says this will be their most intense coaster so I'm not going to complain. I may not make it to the park this summer but hopefully I'll get the chance for HOS. I can believe it. Superman is pretty intense in the back seat and that's only row 6, you guys will have 9 rows to choose from and I'm betting row 9 is gonna be where it's at. The only bummer is the OTSRs, but they seem unassuming enough from the photos. I can get where the complaints are coming from, but honestly, if you had to get a clone, this is the clone to get! I think you guys will appreciate it a lot more once it opens.
  10. LOL! That's awesome! So the question is, if you knew you would survive, would you ride it?
  11. Thanks, everyone! I can agree with your review of it. At SFDK, they have a show with the acrobats (Cirque Dreams) and a show just about the dolphins (Drench!). Although the acrobats are cool, I really like seeing the dolphins best. They're beautiful creatures and can do some really cool acrobatics of their own. Blue Horizons was really impressive but I kinda wish they had another show that focused more on the dolphins. Even though the show played twice, I had no interest in seeing it a second time. However, I could not figure out why the whale show only played once, I would have definitely seen that again.
  12. All of the food looks amazing. I'd try the cheese curds and tartar sauce! Not sure if friend alligator counts as pescatarian but I might be willing to give it a try... Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely have to get out to this some time and try all the amazing food. I love boysenberries and think it's so cool they originated at Knott's!
  13. A few weeks ago When was the last time you ate pizza?
  14. Last Wednesday, Manta at Seaworld San Diego When was the last time you watched the news on TV?
  15. ^AHHH that sounds really good, sign me up too! I love El Toro
  16. This summer! I was really hyper one day, LOL When was the last time you bought yourself a dessert?
  17. I was just at the park on Wednesday. Before that, it had been about 7 years since I had gone, so I was excited to try Manta! Going into it, I had no idea what to expect. I had heard that Manta was a great family coaster and also that it had airtime, but I figured there couldn't be that much airtime. I was pleasantly surprised by how much airtime was on this coaster! There were some really amazing moments on this ride, and both launches were really fun! I thought the pre-launch was really cool too and added to the atmosphere. I was disappointed that I didn't see Shouka on my trip. They must have had her in some other tank, neither performing nor viewable to guests. I was really looking forward to seeing her again! However, I am always in awe of the whales when I get to see them. They are such beautiful and majestic creatures and I've loved them since I was really young. I wish there were more whales performing in the show, there were only three, but the show was still amazing and I got SOAKED! Definitely don't get that wet at any dolphin show! However, the dolphin show, Blue Horizons, was amazing! It was a little weird to me to have so many aspects of the show that didn't involve dolphins, but the acrobats and divers were really fun to watch, the costumes were great, the set was AMAZING (and all the water jets were fun). Overall, one of the best dolphin shows I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot in my lifetime!). I really really wanted to pet a dolphin and didn't think I'd get a chance without paying $50!! But I went to the trainer interaction thing and sure enough, they let us pet the dolphin!!! Several times!! I was so happy Overall, an amazing day. Here are some pictures I took with my iPod. Not the best quality but still fun. 50th anniversary! These fish ate your hands! Literally! Such a weird feeling MANTA!! Such a fun ride! Beautifully themed too! ZOMG BABY WHALEE!! Another baby whale! The whale came right up to the glass and stared at these kids! FLAMINGOOO! This ride is still kinda "meh" and I got moderately wet Best part of Wild Arctic! Blue Horizons! So cool AHHH PILOT WHALLEEE!! So beautiful The finale was pretty cool My favorite show!! Yep I got soaked Blam!! Screw Blackfish! They're having fun! ZOMG I GOT TO PET HERR!!! baby shark na na na na na na na na mama shark na na na na na na na Am I turtle enough for the turtle club?
  18. That's really cool! Easy for people who need to always have a bathroom within sight. So the inside is themed to Tangled too?
  19. Somehow I got to talking to my apartment manager about coasters and she said she heard there were some coasters now that had 1 G force.
  20. I think I missed something...what are Tangled toilets?
  21. Great trip report! It's great seeing the parks from the eyes of someone who has never been before as I might finally go this summer and I've never been before either. I like that you include both the positives and negatives, it's a more realistic all around opinion than just someone who praises everything.
  22. Ahhh I just wanted to post and say that I'm going to be working at BGT for the summer! They have a resident summer camp there and I'm going to be a camp counselor! So I'll actually be able to experience BGT (and Seaworld and the water park and some sightseeing in Florida) while getting paid! I'm actually getting paid to ride roller coasters with children! I can't imagine a better summer job So I'll see some of you over the summer on my days off! I'm ready for Disney World, Universal, Seaworld, and of course, Busch Gardens!
  23. AHHHHH I just got the job! Less than a week after I interviewed, they called me back! I'm going to Tampa for the summer, guys!
  24. Last Thursday. When was the last time you walked a dog?
  25. When was this and what channel? That's the same mistake Yahoo Travel made on their Twitter a while back. It was around 11:30 (right before I posted) on ABC7.
