Yes Do you like violent movies?

Yes, if I've been on the ride and like the music for it. Did you have pizza this week?
-
Sugar in the form of alcohol and sometimes candy as well Are you going to wake up early or stay up late to catch the Six Flags announcements next week?
-
Yes Do you eat fresh fruit and veggies on a regular basis?

Well considering we no longer have a maze called carnevil I don't think it's a problem. Yup the maze in rue-le-dodge is getting a fresh new theme this year! What?? That was my favorite maze! I know it was old though, but still. I didn't go to Fright Fest at SFDK last year and I can't remember if I ended up going the year before that, the last time I think I went was the first and last year they had Total Darkness. That being said, SFDK's Fright Fest seemed a lot better when I was too scared to do any better Halloween events. It's a good "beginner" haunt but I really wish they would put more into it. It does seem like they've been doing better with scare zones (the first year I went, the only two scare zones were the crappy clown one and the one with the gators, now I think there are at least 4) but the mazes aren't getting any better. The two best mazes are still Slaughter Pig Farms and Nightmare Manor which I think are the two oldest and haven't been changed in years either. I don't think the excuse that SFDK is mainly a family park should still apply after they [most likely] get a kickass RMC.

I'd rather have the aforementioned drop tower idea be superhero themed (or another flat in that area) and Re-Roar be something else. But really, I'm gonna love it either way even if they name it "New-Steel-and-Wood-Thing-With-Some-Fun-Moments-Ride-Formerly-Known-As-Roar". Also, there's a new maze this year for Fright Fest called "Carnevil – Death Under the Big Top." I like me some clown mazes but IDK how Great America will feel about SFDK having a maze called "Carnevil" as well. Fright Fest

No, orange is the new black Do you know someone who is graduating next year?
-
I actually hope it's not superhero themed. I've liked all of the revamp names for the RMCed coasters. I hope they keep Roar in the name, something simple and catchy (Like Wicked Cyclone or Twisted Colossus) but unique. I've thought about it and can't come up with anything, but I'm sure whatever they come up with will be great!

Platinum will get you into both parks + CGA haunt. Knotts Scary Farm is extra Well I'm not sure if I'm going to Knott's of CGA any other time besides Haunt (and WCB). Gold Pass for CGA does work for Haunt, correct? And it would still work for Haunt next year? What's the price of a single day ticket to Haunt and Scary Farm? I couldn't figure it out online, is it the same price as a regular single day ticket?

It's moving in that direction but still too early to say. Do you have any pets of your own?
-
Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of! I still get pretty scared going through houses and it would be nice to have someone for moral support! I did Fright Fest at SFMM alone last year (met some cool people in line that I went through some of the mazes with) and did alright, but I've never been to Scary Farm and am worried it's going to be too much for me to do alone.

Yikes, I had been considering going the night before Halloween and I would have had to drive down from the Bay Area on a Friday and go that same night. Even as I type this, I know it's an insanely stupid idea, but I'm not sure if I have anyone to go with any other night. I'm really trying to hype up my friends to go with me, but they're either too scared, not interested, or too busy. I don't particularly want to go alone to my first time at Knott's Scary Farm!

Re: the animals at SFDK... I really hope they don't abandon the animal exhibits they have, but they are moving more towards a rides focus as it's been a few years since they've added any major new animal exhibit and they've removed a few in the mean time. I do think a lot of their exhibits are lacking but they could renovate them if they wanted. I still like the sharks even though it's not the best shark exhibit I've ever seen. It's classic Marine World In that vein... does anyone know why SFDK isn't AZA (American Zoo Association) accredited? I didn't think they were but I confirmed it when I visited the AZA website. Idk if it's because they don't fit the bill or because Six Flags doesn't need or care about AZA accreditation because they're Six Flags. I can't wait for the Roar announcement because I honestly have no idea what to expect! And via TimeHop apparently I had no idea what to expect with Superman 4 years ago either, and that announcement blew me away!

West Coast Bash 2015!
RAWKIN_coaster38 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As someone who's been with TPR almost since its founding, allow me to say very sincerely that I hope this never happens. It's a real shame that some idiots made you guys felt driven to do that with the trips. It'll be a shame if that happens with these kinds of events as well. It makes me sad that I was ultimately unable to participate in the TPR tours while they were going on. Now that my life is more stable than it was a couple years ago, I would have loved to take some of my vacation days and have a blast on a TPR tour. I also find it a shame that things turned out that way. I haven't been here for that long but I also was really looking forward to doing a TPR trip very soon. In fact, I have been saving some money for a few years now with the intention of doing so and now because of things like this I won't be able to. I don't want to say we will never do them again, but after ten years of putting on tours, and people getting worse and worse each year, we just needed a break. And trust me, if we start them up again, there WILL be some sort of "application" process and we will choose who goes and who doesn't. I can't see us ever doing an "open enrollment" type of thing ever again. That sounds like a good idea in your situation, I just hope I'd make the bill because I've always wanted to do a TPR tour! Unfortunately, I'm smack in the middle of college and college debt so it's hard for me to secure the money for a trip, but it would definitely be worth it and very soon I'll be done with college and working full time and saving for the chance that maybe you will offer another tour that I can be a part of! I've only been to WCB once and BAB twice but they were some of the best experiences at amusement parks I've ever had (even though it is SFMM ) and you're a super cool guy and I'd like to get to know you more on a longer trip! Hopefully I'll get the chance! I'm so disappointed in the people who complain and feel entitled ruining things for those of us who truly appreciate what you guys are doing for us! For now, I'm SUPER excited for WCB and the chance to tear it up with fellow enthusiasts, even if rides close and things don't go exactly as planned. -
No, but I still like it. Would you ever want to work as a scare actor?

This. I get the feeling those of you saying Roar shouldn't have an inversion is because you haven't tried an RMC inversion yet. Definitely different! If your reasoning is that it would make it worse for families with little kids scared of loops... Sorry, this is gonna be the wrong coaster for those types of people. SFDK will have to get a family coaster for that. If your reasoning is you want a thrill ride without inversions... I don't think you'll be disappointed if Roar does have them and I think it will. Does any other park have a similar problem? I've been at Busch Gardens in Tampa all summer and they have the same issue. Even Cheetah Hunt has an inversion, and that did deter a few of our campers who didn't like inversions. Granted, they'll be getting Cobra's Curse next year, but until then Sand Serpent is the only "big" coaster they have without an inversion. I'm sure the next coaster SFDK gets will be more a family coaster, but then again, I thought that before and here we are getting a totally sick RMC! Oh man I'm so jealous! I really wanted to make it there but I literally just got a job that day and had to start. We didn't get done until 5:30 and I thought I wouldn't be able to make it from Mill Valley to SFDK in time. It's worth it to have this job, but I'm still a little sad I couldn't ride Roar as it is one last time. I agree with what everyone has been saying.... it is bittersweet because I didn't think Roar was that bad, I liked it, and it did fill a niche at the park (transition coaster for younger ones) but I am very excited for what will be made of it! I'd much rather have them demolish Kong for a ground-up RMC, but I'm not complaining because I never thought we'd be getting an RMC this soon and I'm so excited for this announcement that I really can't wait!
