  1. No Do you like Orange is the New Black?
  2. Yeah I actually didn't see that they were putting a new restaurant, but we definitely need it! The food options right now just aren't very good. If it is a sports bar type thing, it would be nice to sit down inside with a beer.
  3. Yes. Do you wear corrective lenses?
  4. No. I'd rather become Batman Have you ever been physically injured from a ride?
  5. My friend's favorite coaster for some reason is Gwazi because he says he liked the roughness and felt like he was riding a bull. I told him I should take him on El Toro and he'll probably change his mind, but he said, "What if I still like Gwazi better?" No, just no. There are some opinions of coasters I just have a really hard time accepting. His favorite coaster at SFDK was Boomerang (although we did get a decent ride on it) with Kong second, even though he said Kong was rougher than Gwazi.
  6. We were there on Sunday too. Progress looks amazing in person, that inversion just looks insane! We got to try the 5D ride.... super disappointing and I'm usually not a huge critic of rides. I haven't seen Pacific Rim but the ride just looked like scenes from the movie. We weren't even viewing it from a first-person POV perspective like most 3D rides. Super bizarre. I had to ask myself, why, after all these years, they suddenly and randomly reopened this theater with such a sub-par movie. I really don't think it's because of CGA. I theorize they got a really good deal on this that they couldn't pass up (like "hey, mind as well!") and that's why they announced it and opened it in January instead of waiting for the usual Six Flags announcements/opening times. I don't think this film will last (I hope not!) and I predict the September announcement will find us something better. If we got something Justice League themed, I could see them putting a giant animatronic or statue in the queue where they used to have the raptors. Regardless of the suck (and too much spray) of this ride, I'd rather have something there than nothing.
  7. I'm just hoping they have a media day/pass preview before Memorial weekend or else I might not be able to ride it until much later this year
  8. Yes, Ghostrider before we realized how bad it had gotten. Have you ever texted someone sitting in the same room with you?
  9. Definitely have plans: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Six Flags Magic Mountain Knott's Berry Farm Universal Hollywood Likely: California's Great America Definitely if I go to Florida: Busch Gardens Tampa Seaworld Orlando Universal/IOA Disney World (possibly) Likely (plans not solidified but tentative and hopeful): Six Flags Great Adventure Hersheypark Six Flags New England Dorney Park (anything else in the Northeast that I can fit in) Dependent on getting into certain grad schools I'm applying to: Cedar Point Kings Island (anything else within a day's drive of said school) 2015 was an amazing coaster year for me, and if my plans for this year pull through, this year might be my best ever coaster year!
  10. Not gonna lie, I totally thought about this when considering what I would do with that kind of money. Didn't realize buying a park was an option. I've considered the feasibility of having a backyard coaster, but what's the point unless you hired someone to operate it for you? And then you have to deal with finding independent contractors and whatnot to maintain it. Would be better to own a park, and then you could collect money from that park and pretty much be set for life (assuming your park succeeded). I'd probably be more in favor of building a smaller park (with room for expansion) near some big-ish city that doesn't already have an amusement park close by. Maybe Arizona or somewhere like that, I'd have to do my research. I'd start relatively small with some good dining venues, some family rides, a water ride or two, a good wooden coaster and maybe one thrilling steel coaster (but not like a Giga or something huge) that could draw some attention from enthusiasts and encourage people to visit my park. I'd also possibly explore the idea of having a zoo attached with like rescued animals and endangered animals. Also, I've always wanted to have a dolphin or orca, but idk if my park would be large enough to have one there. So maybe I'd purchase an orca from Seaworld and then just leave it there and go visit it whenever I wanted to.
  11. Two of them, actually. Two of my cars have been totaled in the last 3 years and one wasn't even my fault Have you ever Facebook stalked an ex?
  12. Yes, and not really sure how it happened either Have you been to the gym this year?
  13. At least 9 years ago. That's about how long I've been vegetarian! When was the last time you watched a cartoon?
  14. Just applied at Busch Gardens again. *sharts chanting * Kumba Kumba Kumba!
  15. Hollywood Studios. At least I could marathon Tower of Terror to keep me up and I enjoyed Rock n' Rollercoaster better than Everest. Would you rather be a small prey fish or a prey insect?
  16. Woe to he who hath sat upon the edge of X2! It hath shaketh his body with its wrath! Better he hath sat'est upon the bench Than hath set'est himself down upon X2 thus! Yeah, not sure if I want to join him in his endeavors but while we're at it, which are the roughest seats on all the coasters at SFMM? I want to knock this so-called preference out of him so he will see things my way! (Unless he really does like rough coasters as much as he says, in which case he'll have a great time. Either way, it's a win-win).
  17. What is SFMM like in January? Are Saturdays really that worse off? How is MLK weekend usually? Hoping to bring a first-timer soon He's pretty coaster inexperienced and says he likes rough rides, so I'm making sure to let him sit on the outside of X2.
  18. I'm still not really sure what 5D is supposed to mean (anyone care to explain?), but I find it hilarious that SFDK appears to be deliberately quipping at CGA.
  19. 4.0 this semester, finishing out my undergrad with a 3.94! Hope to get some good scholarships to grad schools...preferably a grad school near a good theme park
  20. As much as I think a dark ride would be great, I'm expecting it to reopen as a 4D motion simulator ride again. Why else would they announce it in January instead of waiting for the typical Fall Six Flags announcements? I'd be surprised if it was anything more than that at this point, as I think they would wait until Fall if it was Justice League, which very well might happen to it in the future. Pros of it being a motion simulator theater is they can do Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park overlays and change the program every few years if one becomes outdated or unpopular.
  21. Yes Have you gotten into an argument since the New Year?
  22. SO EXCITED. When I was there on NYE, I did notice they were taking down the Fright Fest maze stuff around there. Didn't think to mention it because I thought I was probably being a crazy fangirl and looking into it too much. Guess they really are doing something! I've literally been waiting for something to happen to this theater ever since it closed years ago. I always felt it had so much unused potential just sitting there and only partially being used once a year. No matter what they're gonna do with it, it'll be a great improvement! +1 for us again, CGA Throwback to Dinosphere: from page 46 of this thread
  23. Nope, but it's here Do you have a New Year's resolution?
  24. I've been known to accidentally watch 5 hours of Criminal Minds (5 episodes one hour each) which would be the equivalent of 10 episodes of a half-hour show, so I'll say yes. Have you downloaded new music in the last week?
  25. Not a coaster but I love this sooo much RIP And for giggles
